Kate Gets Her Lawsuit Going

TMZ and Radar are reporting on it.

This woman can't seem to survive sans attention. What better way to get another few, fleeting minutes in the spotlight than a big, well publicized lawsuit against her former spouse?

Her time and energy would be so much better spent by getting a REAL job. What excuse can she possibly use at this juncture for not working in the real world, alongside the rest of us mere mortals? Her kids are all in school and have been for quite awhile yet, so what's the lame excuse NOW for not working except for some silly blog?

the last time I saw a tv clip making fun of her, it was an interview in which she claimed to be financially strapped DUE TO Post-divorce LEGAL FEES. Can someone please help me understand how trumping up yet another big lawsuit is going to be beneficial to one already supposedly strapped due to legal bills? et re

Get ready for yet another chorus from her about how brave and strong SHE is despite the unfair terrible treatment by the guy from whom she's been divorced for several years not to mention the world in general. She truly is one who is a legend in her own mind.

I call total B.S.

[and in federal court, no less ...]

There may be some protection for Jon in the marital and property status at the time of the alleged theft. Pennsylvania is a Commonwealth, not a state, and does certain things differently.

Kate just wants a pity party. It's always about Kate. I sure hope that the judge in this case dismisses the lawsuit. I hope that the judge tells Kate to get a real life, and move on.

100% negative on Radar post.
As if the world doesn't know she's a b..ch and Jon doesn't have a pot to pee in.
Wonder if her partner in sympathy, Meredith Vieira will encourage more croc tears.

Style-wise, this lawsuit is in Kate's wheelhouse: making a mountain out of a molehill, and the molehill itself is much ado about nothing.

In this particular case, the molehill is nonexistent.

I didn't manage to download the book the day it was available. Does anyone know any way to read it? It's driving me nuts!

I believe it has to be in Federal court, some of those are only federal crimes. That being said, supposebly she stopped taking support from Jon because he has no money. Then she turns around a few months later and sues him? Really. And I agree with Logical, there is absolutely no thought for the children. This is their father, that has stayed in their lives and loves them, as they do him.

I acted quickly and ordered the book the very day it came out.
I can answer any questions about it.

What could Jon possibly write in a book about Kate, that we don't already know? I hope that the judge dismisses the lawsuit, and tell Kate to get a real job, and move on with her life. We all know that Kate will never work as a nurse again, because no one will hire her, nor will anyone let Kate take care of them. We all can't wait till one of the kids, or all of the kids write their book about "mommy dearest". Will Kate sue them too?

Liz said...

This is hilarious because is she's claiming the book WAS written based on stuff stolen from her personal effects than it's pretty hard to deny that the book IS TRUE.

Go home, Katie McScrooge. Your 15 minutes were up an hour ago.

---------------------

There are many jobs in the medical field where, as a nurse, she could be employed without having direct patient contact. If personnel is needed in those fields, there is no reason she would not be hired unless her credentials and references aren't what they should be.

Patients don't get to pick and choose their nurses. If a nurse is on duty and your room is in her jurisdiction then yes, she would be your nurse. Scary thought, huh?

In the People magazine article, she was crying poor, complaining that she doesn't have a steady income and so she has to spend carefully. So now she is spending money on expensive lawyers fees to sue someone who is completely broke? Yup, that's a really smart financial move. I think she's lost it.

There is something very wrong with a mother who sues her ex-husband, and does not let her children have a relationship with their grandparents or uncle.

Questions....would love to know what her diva demands were...just how greedy and how nasty she really was....what did she say about her family (Jodi)...anything about the bodyguard...lol!

Actually patients can request a different nurse especially if there is a reason such as rude or brusque attitude. Simply ask for the charge nurse and request a change.

Just wondering if Steve is still Kate's bodyguard.

I thought she didn't keep up her registration and would need to start from scratch with the testing, etc. There are a lot of things Kate could explore besides TV and nursing. Somewhere there is the right fit for her, and I don't think it is in TV or nursing. Jon tired to go the celebraty route for about a year. When it didn't work, he settled down and found a job. Kate will evenually be forced to do the same.

I wonder why she doesn't have a body guard when she shops at her local Target. Everyone in her hometown knows where she shops, gets her manicures and pedicures. I would think, she would think it is more dangerous in her hometown than out of town.

According to the Hoffman book, everything in it came straight out of Kate's diaries and personal email.

one contract from Lane furniture specified that after they chose the free furniture, it was also in the contract that lane would be responsible for paying for the taxes owed on the free furniture!

She doesn't have any friends who are not paid employees (Steve)
Anyone in her life that used to be close are now out, due to people having an opinion on her children that doesn't match hers. One text said: don't ? My mothering. -thx

The children hated filming. They were denied food and water until they got the film the right way. After that, she bribed them with lollipops.

She brutally beat her children . When one was very young she pulled his hair, and couldn't stop hitting him. She confessed in her diary that she was afraid she would go too far and really hurt someone."so I whipped him in the crib and left him there till Jon got home."

Her family members say kate has bipolar disorder, which she refuses to treat.

The disdain she shows other people is appalling.

I've never met anyone in my life as unlikable as she is.

No wonder she didn't want this to ever see the light of day!

Robert HOffman claims that he has "more explosive" material that he doesn't intend to publish, but, could potentially make public. He claims that if Kate, or her lawyers call him a liar in court, The information will come out then, including photograph's.

I have a feeling that this lawsuit that Kate filed against Jon, just might come back to bite her.

Also, the Hoffman book has kates diary from April 2007:

I dont know if I mentioned the AWESOME news: the call came in about Cara and Madys financial aide/ scholarship money they are going to provide $12,000 each of the $13,500 that first grade costs!!!

sglily said...

$13,000 each for school in just first grade, now running her over $100,000 for 8 kids? They were given financial aide when they were making big $ on TV? This is all crazy. I remember when they were picking out the big kid beds, was that the free furniture? What about when they moved? You know they got the brand new sets of Duets for free (again?), because Jon made sure he mentioned it, and they talked about them for like 5 min. and kept showing Kate using them. What about all the other appliances, brand new furniture, dining set, huge sectional downstairs, etc., etc., etc.? Kitchen reno-free, Crooked Houses-free, Pool slide & install-free?, tile for the basement? Oh, the list must go on...the inside of that place is a far cry from their other house's little living room with the once green carpet and faux-leather? couch and recliner.

THATS HORRIBLE. what a witch.

Did The Book mention if Steve was more than a friend? It's really odd that he was around like he was. Either they were in a relationship, or she used him in place of Jon: errand boy, child minder, keeper of chaos, etc.

faline said...

The book did not say that steve was anything other than a paid employee of kates. The book mentioned that Steve, his wife Gina and their boys were all friendly with kate and her family. The book does include personal emails between kate and Gina that sound like any two friends would talk about (planning get togethers, loved that drink recipe etc) sometimes gina was the one watching the Gosselin children in kates house after kate and steve left for nyc, or wherever they were going.

The author followed kate on halloween as she packed up the kids and drove 3 hours to Maryland, where she let her kids go trick or treating, in steve and ginas neighborhood.
