One thing about it, Abbey Lee can give her some things to think about! LOL

I think Jon would have to sign a contract. I mean he has custody still and its a new show.

I could easily see Kate's thought process on this one. The kids would do all the work and Kate would sit in the gallery sniping at the other moms and twittering. She'd get Lifetime to pay for her 'helper' so she could leave the boys at home, it's been pretty obvious for a long time she would prefer not to be around them anyway. Of course, along with the 'helper', she'd expect the show to hire Steve to be her manager/assistant/babysitter/bodyguard.

There's just one problem. As far as I know the girls can't dance, at least not to the level of the girls already on the show.

Save the Gosselin 8

Wow. Don't know if its Kate or the article that's so off base. First, one doesn't just say they are going to be on a dance team. Years of lessons and talent ( heavy on the talent) are required. Next, its HOURS of driving ( one way) between her and Abbey Lee. No out of state travel? Did I read that right? Really? They jet or bus off out of state to compete all the time. Wait, don't tell me Kate thinks the world wants to watch her kids take lessons? Mental health consult aisle five!

Abby Lee might be just what Khate needs for a reality check - she doesn't hold back in her interactions with the moms and it's HER way or the highway.

Speaking of reality checks, have the girls had any dancing lessons? Abby Lee requires them to do advanced gymnastic moves in their dances and also requires perfection. If they haven't had lessons, can't see them fitting into the dance team.

On the other hand, I don't believe that these girls need to be subjected to more fighting and screaming that the whole world (and their friends) see. Abby only thinks about winning and takes no excuses on her way to doing just that.

Again, tho, it might be fun to see the other moms eat Khate up...

Also, TLC has advertised a new show - "Dance Moms - Miami" - maybe Kate could move there?????

Kate and her kids would never make it on Dance MOms. Kate's kids are not good enough to be on the competition team. They would just be another group of kids in regular dance classes. That would not do for kate. She wants them on TV. Plus Kate's personality with Abby and with the other moms, would cause an explosion heard round the world. The kids on Dance Moms on the competition work hard and are very graceful and talented and beautiful. The Gosselin kids would not fit in. They would get no special treatments.

As usual, K8s bright idea is a day late and a dollar short. The TALENTED kids on Dance Moms have been dancing for YEARS. Some stated around the age of 3 or 4. They are disciplined and devoted to the dance, not just twirling and jumping in front of a camera.
Oh yeah, it's Dance MOMS. Focus on K8! It's right up her alley. K8 just doesn't grasp the meaning of "talent."

and her girls (no, not those two, the actual children girls) would make an elimination tryout due to the extensive background they have had with dance lessons?????? ??
She is just frickin NUTS!!!!!! !!
AND...like she would be available for the amount of time the 'dance gestapo leader' demands of the parents!!!!!! !!

The girls on Dance Moms have talent. The Gosselin kids, maybe not so much. Being on a reality show does not give you the magical ability to do anything that you want to do Kate. Witness your Dancing With The Stars appearance.

Even though Dance Moms is so phony with fake drama with the moms and Abby, you can't deny the talent of the girls. I am in awe of them and I'm sure some of them will be famous dancers someday.

I do think that Abby Lee Miller is playing it up for TV and she is not really like that in real life (I could be wrong) but it would be great to see her deal with Kate! She would definitely fit in with the other moms with her hooker clothes and they could hit the bars before competitions. I don't think Cara or Mady is at that level though, I didn't even know they were dancers?

Wow. She just can't let it go and is grasping at straws. No one wants to see Kate's face on their television anymore. She needs to face "reality" and go back to nursing. Millions of families (some of them large) have been raised on a nurse's salary - maybe not with all the perks afforded by reality TV dollars, but Kate should have realized that option had a pretty short shelf life.

I think that show is horrific and the last thing those kids need is someone yelling at them - even if it is played up for tv. (In a way that makes it worse...emotional abuse for fun!)

BUT, I would love to see Abbey have a go at Kate. I'd love to see ANYONE take a go at Kate.

Abby Lee's studio is less then 5 miles from where I sit now. I know people that have dealt with her for years, and even took lessons with her when they are younger. All of them say that in real life she is EXACTLY like she is on the show (based on their experience with her long before the show was ever on). She is not playing it up at all. The only thing that is different is the pyramid. Lifetime added that.

You all have addressed the talent issue already. The kids would to have needed to begin lessons at 3 or 4 and also have the God-given talent to make Abby's team.

It's also more then 250 miles from Wernersville to Penn Hills PA where Abby's studio is located. They have lessons 6 days a week. So are they commuting or moving!

In all fairness to k8, the older two girls did take that one freebie gymnastics class and I'm sure her inner circle of tlc employees all told her the girls should be in the Olympics. Lol

Who is commuting or moving? Kate? She denied the entire story that was in the NE.

Thank you for the insight on Abby, I guess she really is like that! Even though I know it's not going to happen, I would love to see her interact with Kate, and I wonder how the other moms would treat her?

Mood at time of posting "sarcastic", What I did was provide 2 reasons to support it isn't true: 1) kids are not talented enough, and 2) it's much to far of a commute @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Wish I could provide some info on the Dance Moms, but the people I know who had connections to the studio had older kids. They saw a couple of them around but it was when the DM's kids were just starting so their kids weren't in the same classes and didn't interact. I do think they are playing off some of their conversations between each other. Well, except for Holly she seems to be acting pretty straight forward. (edited)

I saw Abbey Lee on a talk show a couple weeks ago. She said her older students say she has mellowed out over the years. She said she use to be worse. She's easy on the girls now. LOL

She must be what you see on TV is what you get in real life.

I'd never actually seen the show, and I was with some friends and they were talking about it. One took lessons from Abbey Lee several yrs ago, and a couple others had daughters take lessons up to about 4 or 5 yrs ago. They did say that is exactly like she is. It was this whole discussion that got me started watching it.

Yup, I'd love to see a run in with Abbey and Kate, but unfortunately it won't happen. I remember reading her that she had a minor blow outwith one of the dance moms on Twitter when Kate critized them.

Wow, I think her girls would have to,I don't know,DANCE! I could actually see blood being spilled between Abby and Kate. Give it up Kate, your 15 minutes are over.

IMO Kate is done in regards to TV. She needs to shut up and go away.

She tried to get the girls into acting remember? I don't think her kids have what it takes in regards to talent.

The only thing she might be able to pull off is Lifetime TV movie about Jon and Kate Plus 8, but that's about it.
