Monday, August 8, 8 Movie Makers, 9 PM

Although the eight Gosselin children are no strangers to being on camera, they have a lot to learn about being behind the camera when making their own movie! Once completed, they take to the red carpet, Hollywood-style, for the premiere of their film.

TLC finally put up description 8/5.

30 minutes

So were the children given movie cameras to be taken away again?

I would love to see an unedited movie by Maddie and Cara. C'mon girls, show us the "True Life" version of your Mom. But as long as Kart can bribe them with Justin Bieber backstage passes, that ain't happening. Soon, though, soon.

Mady's reactions to kate lately are odd, sooo into her, when prior to this she was actually sniping at her and her stupidity.

Cara continues to show in almost every snap caught of her that she doesn't like the cameras. Must be awful at her age to have NO privacy thanks to a fame hungry mom.

I noticed that also about Mady's reactions.

Mady must have a kind heart and Kate has found a way to manipulate that.

It seems like Mady is feeling protective of her mom, like Mady needs to be Kate's white knight.

I can see Kate telling the kids how awful life is, how the paps won't leave her alone, the twats do nothing but harrass her, poor her, poor her, poor her. And she has done NOTHING to deserve this poor treatment people! Oh, the sadness of it all.

It's a way to manipulate the kids' emotions.

Kate sure seems to get into the white knight thing....Steve fighting for her honor sort of thing. I think she had that dynamic going with Jon also. She's even talked about it when she says that she wants a man to take care of things, to discipline the children, etc. Once again....a white knight.

Would be interesting to see a psychologist's take on this.

_____

We've seen it in every episode. We see it in interviews. We hear it on the radio. We saw it on DWTS. How much more would there be to see?

Is TLC at last giving up on Kate? She isn't on the fall schedule (yet) when even the Roloff first "special" is and on Wednesday still no episode description for Monday night. Has hers become the forgotten show?

I watched an hour two nights ago and didn`t see a single ad for Kate Plus 8. I do think her show is ending soon and TLC is sending her on a few pity trips.

She is supposed to be on TLC this coming Monday evening. I WON'T be watching........Lord, NO.

It is 3pm EST on a Monday afternoon and as I turned the tv, OMG Kate plus 8 is on. It's apparently an episode from Australia. Kate said that she had "a lot of redeeming to do", or near to that.
As if that isn't enough, I only had the tv on as I started out to note that today on E! news one of the reporters said talked about what was going on this season. One of the ones that were talked about was Kate Gosselin. Is she cancelled? The answer was NO. "According to TLC, Kate is on tonight with a new episode and new ones are in the works for later" (as close to the exact words as I remember). I am just flabergasted. Their "teaser" line was like: Has Kate Gosselin 10 minutes of fame ended?

I am so bummed that I can't even watch a show on babies without having her pop up on my tv.

I have to go wash it now.

So caught a promo of an upcoming Kate+ 8. Kate is flipping out and Ashley is crying and she something to the effect of she has had enough of this women and she loves the kids and then they show her kissing the kids...seems like a goodbye. Maybe Kate has finally gotten to her too.

I hope I'm doing this correctly. Dialing past this train wreck tonight I had a horrible thought. Kate knows this particular gravy train is not going to last forever. I wonder if this "movie making" epi. is an attempt to lull us into the fact that the children are now going to making movies a la the Olsen twins (remember those straight to DVD masterpieces?) Just thinking outloud here...

May Day,
I saw that promo too. Ashley says that this may be a "knock down, drag out" and then tells Kate, "I could be on a plane out of here" Wow, Yay for her.
The last scene is Ashley kissing all the kids and she says that she would die for those kids, but she can't stand one more minute with "HER".!!!! Yikes.
Bodyguard says, "Whatever" in that Aussie accent.

I think TLC is also saying "Whatevs" to each other as they toss Kate under the bus.

We can only hope the ratings for last night and any future episodes will be so dismal, they will be forced to cancel the show...I like how she has to get out and promote EVERY SINGLE EPISODE now...They must be worried about ratings...I know of no other show that has to be promoted every single time it comes on the screen...WOW!!I agree with what someone said about her saying kids wanted a new "daddy" at home...NO WAY is that true...Those kids love Jon...I think they would prefer the old daddy at home the same way MOST kids of divorce would...And what a slap in the face to Jon as well as the children...They must feel horrific guilt at that being falsely put out there..

MayDay said...

I hope the promo highlights are not staged just to drag us in to watch. I am really hoping that Ashley has had enough. From what we see on TV, Ashley is a wonderful staple in those children's life. You can see many of the "normal" kids stuff is done with Ashley and not Kate. I am hoping that young lady had made the realization on how Kate uses people and when she is done with them spits them out. Honestly I am curious what happens between Kate and Ashley.

I agree about the kids saying they wanted a "new daddy" -- it strikes a very false note. They probably didn't even say it, it's just more lies from Kate. It's not normal for kids who already have a daddy they love, and who they know loves them, to want such a thing. Their hearts' desire is probably to see their mommy and daddy back together.

But suppose they did actually tell her this? That brings a new level of awfulness. The reason would doubtless be to please her -- because they sensed she'd like it. Probably unaware that this was a slap in their own dad's face. It rather shows the extent of their desperation to make her happy and keep things calm. The uneasy tap dance they are having to perform. Poor kids.

Am I the only one who found it ironic that the kids chose an orphanage theme for their movie, complete with a harsh Mrs. Hannigan character that they needed to escape from?

I haven't been here in quite a while but after I saw HER appearance on the Today show earlier this week, I just had to comment. I didn't browse the comments yet so you probably covered it already BUT...the woman said the kids have been asking her to get married again.

Her answer to that was that she wished she could be surrounded by a bunch of guys so she could choose one. You know, as in hint, hint, make me the next Bachelorette. In that brief interview she actually worked it into the conversation TWICE, the second time being totally obvious and out of context.

I swear this woman is doing everything she can to keep those big bucks rolling in! And of course she has TLC's backing since I noticed she showed up AGAIN in a GLOWING interview on Radar Online. I did notice that she only got 43 comments on the item though compared to 300-500 she'd get in the old days.

Since she absolutely refuses to GO AWAY...WE all must go away FROM HER! I think most of us have...it's only a matter of time 'til everyone else wises up to what this woman is all about. "It's the money stupid."

I don't believe Ashley or Jamie have left ot was going to leave. When was this segment filmed? we know Ashley has been around do Its all for ratings. Is Ashley still in college? People will turn in to find out what kate did. I watched the twp episodes on rerun. I cannot believe people stayed and watched after the first 10 minutes Unless you love Kate. The twins decorating cup cakes and Kate barking and screaming is that really entertaiment? the kids playing games? really

Yes, Debbie H. I must agree with you about how false khate's line about how she must find her kids a new daddy sound. When I was in my early teens, my father died. My mother was in her late 30s, and also had young twins. We never once begged my mother to date or "find a man/husband." Our relatives eventually sent her on a date with a family acquaintance, and they married by the end of the year. We were fortunate it all turned out so well. I cannot imagine any child playing matchmaker for his/her mother. I felt extremely close to and protective of my mother; we were almost like sisters, but I would never have presumed to pressure her into dating. Most kids are too busy just being kids, not that the 8 get to be kids all that often. No less, they still have a father they love; he may not be father of the year material, but Jon seems to be making an effort to be a better person. Many children of divorce keep hoping their parents will reconcile, who can blame them? How dare khate and TLC keep using those kids to prop her selfish needs? Is there ever a moment when she puts those kids first? I constantly marvel at how my mother struggled throughout her widowhood to keep our lives as balanced and normal as possible, no matter how much she was grieving; we were always her first concern. That's how good mothers behave, but khate seems incapable of acting in her kids' best interests.

With all due respect, I CAN see the kids wanting their mom to date. To have her around less & focusing attention on someone else.

Hahaha, I agree, SueH.

On the other hand, I think TLC had this scripted. They are spoofing Kate's actual life, whether she is aware of it or not is another story....clueless, I would guess, but she is probably aware and has been advised that this will bring in the ratings, thus the cash, thus more for Kate.

Sing to the tune of Billy Idol's Rebel Yell: "In the midnight hour she cried more, more, more..."

Well, for more money and fame, that is. Ugh...
