How can Kate looked bored and zoned out dancing with Tony?
Thanks again to http://jonandkateplus8snark.blogspot.com/2010/04/april-12.html

Kate appears on the dance floor. I'm sorry I can't say that she will actually dance. She did seem to try this time.

Is she really going to do the tango? That has got to be worse than the other 3 dances - what with all this publicity about her 2 new shows and her "book" how will she ever have time to practice - and we all know how much she practices because her dancing efforts show it. (?) I also saw where she'll be on the Today show with Meredith Viera on Tuesday for an interview - how can she do that after dancing Monday night and the elimination on Tuesday night - all in LA? She couldn't possibly have taken practice time out to pre-record this interview, could she? And...who would be watching and "taking care" of those 8 children? If I sound bitter, I am - this has gone beyond the point of being ridiculous - it's now insane!

Khate dances the Rhumba to "If you don't know me by now" ... except we do! Unfortunately we know too much about you and your real sick need for fame and fortune. I'll not be watching and am sure not going to read your new book because I'd be too tempted to count all the "I's" in "your written?" book. I know I'd fall asleep at 6 Thousand I's which would probably happen in just the first chapter. I pity the poor 8 kiddies these two "parents" have brought into the world.

She will be eliminated this week- she's got the publicity she needs to boost sales of book and new shows.

Coincidently her book is being launched this tuesday.

Plus she's clearly struggling to keep up with the dancing...

So here is my theory. As we all know Kate can't dance her way out of a paper bag. BUT here is my thought. Her book comes out this week and she is making her rounds on the talk shows YET AGAIN. Kind of makes sense that she will be kicked off on Tues to support her book right? Think about it. That to me makes perfect sense as well as ABC being in this just like TLC is. We all know that Shannon should have NEVER been the first one off. And yes Buzz is a hero and rightfully should have been let go. SO, the timing is absolutely perfect so she moves right onto traveling all over for her book... THOUGHTS? Or am I just wishing too much for her to be off the show.

You know I really thought she might put forth a little more effort, considering how she has all that experience with dancing at the end of the strings of the great puppetmaster TLC.

Geez I just recalled a Dwight D. Eisenhower quote that somehow seems to fit --

"Pull the string, and it will follow wherever you wish. Push it, and it will go nowhere at all."

Kate can do interviews by satellite feed/remote on Tuesday. She's done it before. Did it say she would be on the Today Show in NYC? Or just that she'd be on the Today Show?

The tango is the perfect dance for Kate - she can walk her way through it and it's slow. And I doubt she'll be voted off - people will vote to keep her on because she needs to support those kids (insert eyeroll).

That's an insult to Omarosa. She at least had business smarts and was at least aware she was manipulative and a b****. She also didn't linger as long as Kate did/has. I'd take Omarosa over Katie the Kart any day.

this was posted on US Weekly...forgive me if it has already been mentioned...

According to one, the "argumentative" reality mom, 35, snapped at Dovolani, 36, during a particularly frustrating practice at her Pennsylvania home: "I'm the reason anyone knows your name," she spat, "so give me a break!"

Gosselin has even commanded that Dovolani enter her house through the basement door, rather than the front entrance. "She says it's quicker, but she's just showing him she's the boss," a Gosselin source says.

Well, I knew Tony's name before he had her as a partner...so there Miss Katie too big for your britches...as I am sure a whole lot of people did...and he has our sympathy...my card is in the mail as I type..bless his heart..and he has a big one...he really needs this job, unlike you Kate who just pretends too...

this si what Maksim tweeted about T& K: he was being diplomatic, but you can hear exactly what he thnks of Kate in this paragraph...she doesn't respect anyone but herself...

Jake and Kate are in a similar boat. I want to go on record and say I admire Tony — not just because he's my friend. I've spoken to Kate, and I don't think she gets the point of this thing yet. The pain on her face says it all, which is unfortunate. The show is about finding a way to come out, enjoy yourself and have fun. Tony is trying to relay the message while responsibly getting the routine done. He has a plan, and she needs to focus and listen to him. The idea of a coach and a student is deeply rooted in us. We were taught to respect our teachers, so as teachers, we expect to be respected by our students. Every student is different, so we must teach differently, but we're always respectful. Kate needs to trust him. However lifeless that paso was, he had her ready with the routine. I hope she improves and I think she can if she realizes she has an opportunity that she won't have again. It's a chance for her to focus on something other than personal drama. How many women with multiple kids sit back and reminisce about the days they could go and dance when they watch our show? How many people vicariously live through us? You need to enjoy it.

Funny how everyone around her has the same opinion of her, but she still gets rave reviews from sheeple and the like..When are they going to see that the people close to Kate that have to work with her and be around her know the real her, and it 'aint pretty....that is why people leave her and "she just doesn't get it...there is always a reason behind everything that happens in our lives...usually we need look no further than the mirror...I think Kate must have a magic one that keeps telling her...you are the fairest in all the land...and all the land and people belong to you... treat them as you wish.....off with their heads she says..especially those little ones who keep wanting my attention all the time..I must have my own time...

Can't See Sheep said...

You would think she would want her children to see her putting a little effort into this. Scratch that, what on earth was I thinking. A normal mom would want her kids to see her improve, to be proud of her, all kate's there for is the money. She's been given yet another great opportunity & the best she can do is see it as a cash grab & could care less if she humiliates herself & her children in the process. It only matters that she gets the money & that is just so sick & so sad. The devil did not ask kate to sell her soul, she called him up & informed him of the deal.

Wait, is it a rumba or a tango?? Oh never mind it's not like we'll know what it is by kate dancing it. That woman will mangle it beyond all recognition. She butcher's these dances & all she appears on like a slasher going for a body count in a B horror flick. She is terrific at destroying everything she comes into contact with.

I'm just happy that the can-can is not ballroom dancing because I know kate would be more than happy to show off her underwear to the cameras again. I really do think she's behind all these playboy rumours & wishes they'd ask her. Hef has said no, but I'm also wondering if TLC will offer him a price he can't refuse. Given his money you wouldn't think he wouldn't have a price, but who knows anymore.

I was watching Tony dance on previous years on DWTS on youtube with various partners. Then compared them to he & Kate. What strikes me the most is how large Kate really is! She is the same height as Tony & she is wider than Tony! What a big, BIG girl! She has no waist & there is not one feminine thing about her. She doesnt even dance in a feminine manner! Tony is an awesome dancer, but when he lifts Kate & swings her around it just looks clumsy!

Cry Me a River said...

I think the rhumba is a sexy dance and all about interacting in that manner with your partner. Oh the horror!

Kate doesn't have a sexy bone in her body, she can only emote anger and contempt and she cannot move. No amount of plastic can help you come from within. No acting coach this time...maybe Dr. Ruth. We will see more of Tony coaching her through, hiking her leg and rolling her around on the floor. I hope he doesn't have that same labored look on his face as the last time.

This one will probably top the last one because that one clip I saw they are having some problems about her not putting in the time this week she said particularly.

But she doesn't have time to dance because she is "caring for the kids 20 of the 24" and "missing" them when they are upstairs. Funny she doesn't appear to "miss" them unless she is home with them.

I don't believe Kate wlll be voted off. I think that we will be seeing an anouncement that she is leaving the show because she is being "forced" to focus on "defending" her "single mom" self and to "protect" her children. The PR machine is in full swing to portray her yet again as the "victim". We all need to refer to her as a "co-parent" which is really what she is,maybe the term will catch on.

Putting Kate on DWTS was a risk I am not sure has paid off. She has already stayed 2 weeks longer than her dancing warranted. Her time away from the kids is now publically noticed. Jon's lawsuit is drawing more attention to her parenting, absentee style. So far they have not made her look slim or attractive or appealing, quite the opposite. I wonder if they are appealing to her fan base of overweight hags? Making Kate more relatable to them? Either way there is a huge discomfort with parents on how this woman keeps insisting she is a fighter and is not a quitter and yet will not apply the same principles to spending as much time as possible with her kids. There is no question in my mind Kate was quite happy to turn her children over to TLC and make herself available to promote the network.

There's one VERY big difference between Khate and Omarosa. Omarosa knows she's a beyotch, she just doesn't care. Khate is clueless. Also, Omarosa doesn't have 8 kids caught in the crossfire. Okay - make that 2 differences.

Whether Khate "dances" the tango or the rhumba, it will be an epic failure. Both dances require timing, sensuality, and musicality. Khate is lacking in all 3.

My Prediction is that Kate will do another slow, boring dance/walk. They will pan her, but not as bad as last time. She WILL go through, Jake will leave no matter how well he dances.
Don't kid yourself, all this lawsuit does is for Kate to work all the harder, and have bitter, single women everywhere cheering her on.
I think she has this thing down... and will make millions over the next few years.
Her poor kids on the other hand, will be left in the dust. I get upset that my own daughter is out running around every weekend, and the kids are with just their daddy. Imagine 8 kids without EITHER parent for weeks at a time?
No hugs, no love, oh, let us pray that the nannies love them. However, nannies come and go, so there is no stability. How I pray Mady or Cara spills the beans on this soon!

So, really, what would be the best plan? Vote for kate so she stays to look the fool instead of running off on her book tour? I'm guessing that would frustrate her the most. She only seems happy when promoting something she "wrote" and talking to her "fans". It would just gag me to vote for her but maybe it's for the greater good?

I won't do that to feed her ego. All it succeeds in doing is taking the votes away from someone who really has some talent and has worked very hard in the past weeks to improve...they actually care about their image, not about the money, publicity, or branding.
Voting for Kate to see her make a fool out of herself really isn't fair to the other contestants who deserve to be there.

Charles said...

Kate has said she has "a thick skin." She doesn't care at all that there are people who hate her.

She doesn't care at all that there are things about her children all over Facebook and other sites.

She truly doesn't care!

She said on TV that for "whatever reason", the haters and the lovers sure bring in the ratings.

She said that being on different shows has sure boosted their ratings. She realizes this and doesn't care if there are people out there who truly are not fans.

Now she can no longer care that people are laughing at her dancing.

She doesn't care.

It brings in the bucks. Her dancing means money, and that is what she cares about.

She won't care that her new book repulses many.

It will still sell.

There are many, many people who eat, drink, and think about her constantly.

She has learned that fans keep her in television, in the money, and have made her wonderful house and cars possible.

That is what she cares about. As long as there are fans and not-a-fans, she is not going away.

She is here to stay.

Pa Mom Knows said...

Why make it a popularity contest? The winner is supposed to be someone with talent, someone who has improved. Keeping her on the show isn't going to help his custody battle. She has a book tour that will keep her away from the kids, which supports his evidence that she's never home. If you want a laugh, or are just watching her to make a fool of herself, watch the first episode (s) of her new show. At least that won't be taking away votes from those who actually should be receiving them.

I don't feel sorry for her at all. She went on the show through her own volition.

She is staying when she could leave at any time, using all the kids as her excuse.

She doesn't care that she can't dance.

She does not care.

Why would anyone feel sorry for her?

Voting for Kart at this stage in the game will only send another more qualified person home..like Niecy or Pam. That is what has kept her there all this time. If people stop voting for her just to see her stay on to make a fool of herself, they will see what few real fans she has.

I for one would not vote for her if my life depended on it. I will leave that to the sheeple...to see if they can pull it off on their own.

Also since everything Kate has begged for thus far she has received we can look for her to be on a soap opera very soon playing a villain. It is in the cards. She has spoken. That may well be her calling and I actually do think she could play a villain as long as it was not a sexy one.

She would forget about the kids then if she didn't need them anymore and would gladly turn them over to Jon.

Maybe, maybe not. Don't forget her list of failures. The clothing line. The second book. The flipping pancakes series that never made it to the air. The Paula Dean thing. The justified criticism she's getting on DWTS. Being ignored and laughed at by the other contestants and production crew, and not being invited to cast get-togethers. They see her for what she is. She may not care now, but let's see what happens with the latest book sale and television show. Sponsors will only put up with so many failures and drops in ratings, and then move on to somebody new and fresh, who has more personality, more talent, and more media appeal than she will ever have. There always be someone waiting in the wings to take her place.
It may be some time, but it will happen.

I have been splitting my votes between Erin and another dancer ...but not this week.Erin won't get a vote this week after I saw a piece about Erin & Kart texting back & forth. Maybe Kart sucked Erin in, but I thought Erin was smarter than that.
Another thing---I saw a piece a day or 2 ago where Kart said that she doesn't have the time to spend 6hrs. a day rehearsing.-WTH? Anyone living in the USA & watching TV knows that this is the way it is when you are on DWTS. This crazy bat-s**t female is certainly living on her own planet!

I echo you. I sure as heck knew who Tony was long before Kate ever infiltrated his nice aura. He was in that movie with Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere, for one, called "Shall We Dance" if my memory serves me. Man, if Kate really said such a thing, what ignorance she shows. Just because she doesn't read or live in the normal mainstream doesn't mean the rest of us aren't informed. Her sense of herself is so disproportionate that she is truly going to have more and more people laughing at her arrogance and pompous attitude. I really do think Kate herself will be the only reason her "reality celeb" (using the term "celeb" loosely) career stint finally fails. The fakey-fakey "mom" routine is getting more transparent and she's simply not likeable except to that contingent of sheeple. Getting more widely known doesn't help her; it hurts her. Nobody likes a whiner. I think she's losing the public's respect almost daily now and it has nothing to do with DWTS but her own poor judgment.

I have been voting for Pam as it looks like she needs them the most. She could be acting like the diva but she is not. She is working very hard to put out a good performance each week and she is probably the next oldest after Buzz. Evan is very good but he has a gold medal in his pocket and all the riches that will come from that. Nicole is very good also and I will end up voting for her in the finals I think. But I am trying to help Niecy (2) and Pam to get to the end. Pam almost lost it on the first elimination because of that Krazy Kate voting and I don't want to see that happen yet. I always look forward to what she will do next.

Plus, others deserve to win for their hard work and IMO she is just continuing to dance badly because she realized everyone is talking about it and laughing. Anything to keep her in the limelight. I am serious; she looks like a transvestite to me! Especially with all that drag queen makeup.

This is only the 3rd season I have watched Dancing w/ the Stars. I watched when one of Hefs girls (Holly) stepped in for someone that was out on an injury.

That season Tony was paired up w/ Melissa Rycroft. I just happen to know who the hell SHE was because the Bachelor was on ABC also.

Tony and Melissa should have won that season in my opinion. They were awesome together! I remember I kept thinking how nice and talented Tony was. He was the only pro I remembered the name of actually!

I think Melissa did not win because she was a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. She was kinda a pro already. It really wasn't fair to the others.

When they announced Kate got paired up with Tony this season, I about died! I was praying she'd get Maks. I wish Erin and Kates pros were switched. Tony did not deserve this. I think they wanted to make sure Kate got a MARRIED pro. And I stress a real married pro, unlike her silly bodyguards sham life!

****

See, this is where I think Kate's inflated sense of self-importance is coming back to bite her in the "trunk" :) She is not a fat or large woman...just look at a lot of her pap photos. She's not tiny or rail thin but she's not obese either. She definitely doesn't make very smart or flattering clothing choices . It looks like she chooses whatever she thinks is cool or stylish, without regards to what is flattering for her body shape (i.e. unflattering skirt lengths, tight midriffs, heels with straps that seem to cut her off at the ankle). She has no clue how to dress to flatter her body type, probably because she's not aware that she's not perfect.

If she had the DWTS wardrobe and makeup people on her side, she could have on clothes and makeup that were flattering to her - gowns that hide her figure flaws and makeup that accentuates her positive features. Instead, I'm fully convinced that the wardrobe and makeup people despise her. Her getups are gawdy, unflattering and reminiscent of Halloween costumes. They are fitted to accentuate her very boxy midriff, and the colors have been horrendously horrendous on her. Just compare her "costumes" to the flowing and elegant gowns Erin or Niecey have worn. Compare her bordello costume to the other "character" costumes worn by the contestants last week. I have never seen a DWTS contestant wear gowns that are as unflattering and ugly as Kart has worn. I have never seen makeup as trampy, unflattering and over-the-top, even on this show that features some very dramatic makeup. I'm thinking Kart has made NO friends in the wardrobe or makeup departments!

I totally agree with the transvestite comment - really, she's not a terribly ugly woman (externally, at least) but she certainly has the capacity to appear so!

After Kate clomped down the stairs with arms out stretched to dance the the Paso doble with evil in her eyes , I thought of the ending of the movie " Carry " . In the older version of the movie starring Sissy S. , Carrie had pig blood poured on her and everyone laughed because she had been set up as the butt of a joke and crowned Prom Queen thru fixed votes . Might be a good idea to unplug and roll the t.v. out side to a fire proof area when judging or eliminations are given and especially when Kate's fans vote her in as the winner of DWTS .

They ( the producers ) had to scurry to find a replacement for Nancy O'Dell. Whomever they picked only had 3 days to rehearse. They almost HAD to pick someone who could learn fast and had some experience. She had the moves, but not the fan base of the others, so IMO that evened out the fairness. Just like now, Kate has a large sheeple base, but she has NO moves, so that makes it somewhat even.

What wouldn't be fair is someone who has a large fan base AND dance experience, or someone with little to no fan base and no experience.

This is why it rubs me when people grip about Nicole Sherzinger and how she has dance experience. That is true, but I'm not so sure she has a big fan base. Not many people I know had ever heard of her before. So in my mind, it's fair for her to be on DWTS because she has to create a bigger fan base to stay in the competition. If Nicole had the moves, but the personality of Kate, she'd have been the first one gone.

Oh of COURSE she is already using the custody thing as a reason why she can't concentrate in rehearsals, and that there is something HUGE happening in her life EVERYDAY for the last two years.

Does her ego know no bounds?!?!?! THAT is the only thing that is HUGE. Ick!!!

OMG...lol...I just let out a loud scream! (Poor hubby didn't know what was going on!...sorry hon!) I just saw a clip where she's complaining to Tony about how tough her life is regarding custody of her kids blah blah blah...and how that's been her life for the past two years.

I bet she's going to pull out of the competition. She knows she can't dance. She knows she can't keep up so she's going to be the 'perfect mom' and leave the show.
In her eyes she'll save face by
1. being the 'best' mom in the world
2. not having to go through being voted off (and I'm sure she's next on the chopping block...and I think she knows that too)

OK - Erin Andrews has a certified PSYCHO threatining to shoot her with a long range rifle - AND a back injury fer chrissakes - but she's out there doing it.

Meanwhile, we have the total hag Kate...bitching about the custody of the kids she sees maybe two days a week.

If there was a contest for the biggest bitch/hag/tool - I would totally vote for her.

Getting away serves to put all things Gosselin into perspective - any/everything related to the Gosselins is hyped to the max, and purposely played on a very public stage.

These ridiculous parents waste impossible-to-recapture time while they choose instead to claw for personal attention and share FAR too much private detail of their unravelled life with the public.

I just had a horrible thought...

WHAT IF, on the elimination show, she "sacrifices" herself before they announce who is leaving!?!

She can break down, say someone deserves it more, she is "just" a poor Mom and needs to be with her kids at this difficult time. Just before they send Jake or Pam (just saying) home, Kate will cover her face with her hands and say, NO NO let them stay, *I* will go.

And then she can add another sacrifice to the list she recites to kids on a daily basis.

She won't "just" leave, it will be a big old dramatic scene and she will milk her last minutes on the show for all (she thinks) it's worth.

Bets???

GoPoshGo said...

Kate's performance: marginally better than her previous attempts. Minus 10, though, for dragging the custody saga into the mix, and for allowing Tony to not-so-subtly throw Jon under the bus yet again. Cheap, classless tactics to garner votes and make excuses for what in reality is entitlement, laziness and plain-ass lack of talent. Funny, none of the other dancers used their personal lives as excuses for how their performances turned out. And as I recall, one is dancing with BROKEN toes and another with serious back issues.

Kate claimed she checks the news each day to find out the drama that the day will hold???? WTF???? This woman is seriously delusional.

If she were a nice person, if she used her power and influence and money for good instead of evil I would be thrilled for her success. But she's not a nice person. She's greedy, selfish and just plain mean and yet she gets all the glory.

If I continue to read about her (I don't watch her) I will just get more and more discouraged about there being any justice left in the world.

Of course I'll still check in here on this blog, but the rest I'm done with.

Well, I have to admit it was. "Best" is a relative term, and since she couldn't have gotten much worse... well, it was her best so far.

She won't "just" leave, it will be a big old dramatic scene and she will milk her last minutes on the show for all (she thinks) it's worth.

Maybe, but I don't think we'll see it this week. She got her second wind tonight, and she's baaaaaack!

Did anyone notice when they showed several of the couples together, either in the audience watching other dancers or waiting backstage, everyone would be smiling and clapping for the other contestants while Kate would be somber-faced and might clap a time or two and then just stand there? The only times she smiled were when she knew the camera was on her and during the judges comments.

WoeIsMe said...

Why is she the only one who has to whine and cry and bitch and moan the entire time they're showing the practice segment?

Erin Andrews has been in the news every day because she's got a stalker and has been receiving death threats. The FBI is involved and yet you don't see her whining and crying and bitching and moaning about how she can't focus on anything but that.

Pam Anderson has Hepatitis, but you don't see her whining and crying and bitching and moaning.

Evan had a broken toe, but you don't see him whining and crying and bitching and moaning.

I could go on, but why? She's so nauseating to watch. LOVED watching her watch herself in the camera, though, when others were getting their votes. She'd notice that she wasn't smiling and then out would come those shiny veneers from ear to ear!

I just voted for Chad 27 times. I hope she goes tomorrow night. Watching her makes my eye go into spasms.

Kate's in last place (appears at about 90 minutes into the show).

A lot of melodrama about her week with a "poor me" attitude and swipes at her eyes.

Judges awarded low marks for technical and gave her credit for being so "determined" to give a good performance.

Can anyone help me? Wasn't Kate at one time a cheerleader? She was saying she wished Tony had a better partner and went on to list the capabilities of the other cast members without mentioning that she had been a cheer leader.

After all, she is just learning to dance.

Let's be fair, guys. This is the best she's danced so far and I figured it would be - there's a lot of walking in the dance itself and that plays to her ability. Based on what I've read, the judges comments I believe were fair and realistic. I'm not sure what they (Kate and Tony) were doing with their faces though - they hardly looked at each other.

She would have come off even better if she hadn't prefaced the whole thing with whining. I'll have to watch a recap tomorrow of the whole routine, rehearsal footage, dance and judging all together.

My 2 cents: I have to admit, Kart seemded to actually 'dance' this time, it wasn't as difficult to watch as the last 2 dances...I thought the judges were quite hard on some of the other couples, giving them lower scores than I would have thought (I've watched DWTS since the very beginning) but I thought they were overly generous with Kart's scores...and I wished they hadn't gushed so much st her...I guess it was because they saw improvement, so they went all out in their praise...and as they were praising her, I was imagining that going through Kart's head was Sally Field's infamous Oscar speech: 'You like me, you really like me!'

Two clueless idiots said...

Just to be perfectly honest, her dance was slightly improved but still far below the others in terms of skill and artistry. It would be hard for it to be any worse than the last two weeks! I also think her toned down makeup was more flattering, as was her dress.

However, having said that, I'm frustrated that she is being judged by totally different standards than the other contestants. Other dancers are being carefully scrutinized about minute details regarding footwork, hand positions, hip positions, etc. Why hasn't Kate been meticulously scrutinized - maybe because everyone feels sorry for her since she's obviously so crappy? She has gotten VERY GENEROUS scores every week so far, including this week...especially when compared to the standard that the other contestants are asked to uphold. Something just seems off in the scoring.

That woman sure does love the dramas doesn't she? After all, every week is the fake cry with no tears but the dramatic wiping of her eyes while she's whining to Tony about the two year drama of her life. Kate honey, get yourself off tv and I promise you, you don't have to worry about those dramas anymore!

If the show continues to let Kate's fluff pieces be a dig to Jon because he sued for custody, I will not watch the show even after Kate is gone. This is not the outlet for that and Jon can't even tell the public his side. Those of us who know about their lives (because they made it an open book) know that she's lying anyway.

As for the dancing, is anyone else noticing the show is purposely giving her dances where she doesn't have to move? The first week, last week, and this week was basically just walk around. Stop. Pose. Walk around. Stop, Pose. The only week she danced was week 2 and she was horrible. While the judges said this was her best dance, if you notice, they didn't say it was a good dance. There is a difference. If she improved, that would have been reflected in the scores, but it wasn't.

Sadly, I think she could actually make it pretty far. We know TLC is voting for her and she still has some fans voting. Not to mention with this "I'm a single mom done wrong" garbage, there will probably be some single mothers who feel for her because their ex did them wrong.

Too bad we can't vote for who we want off. I voted 4 ways but had to divide my votes between Pamela, Niecy, Aidan, and Jake. My gut feeling thinks it will either be Aidan or Jake going home even though it should be Kate.

Docta Howse said...

There was a point right before their scores where I noticed that Kate thought the judges were going to give her high scores, then the first 4 came out and Kate's death stare ramped up to 100. I seriously think she believes she deserves 7s, 8s, and 9s just for not walking through it this time. No hon you get paid for just being there, you get scored for the technical and artistic aspects of the dance. This isn't something where everyone gets an award just for showing up. She just doesn't get it. I'm giving Pam most of my votes and a few to Niecy. I didn't realize until tonight that now with Buzz gone Pamela is the oldest contestant. Wow did you guys see that split??

Savannah said...

To me. it looks as if Tony is dancing with one of those blow-up dolls. You can tell, especially tonight, she just wants to get it over with. How does DWTS decide who dances with who? Also, I notice they mix the dances up, as 1-2 couples may choose to dance the waltz and on the same show another couple dance the jive. Does that make sense?
I do believe that Kate should check herself in somewhere have herself evaluated. She seems to be on the verge of a mental breakdown. That's what happens when you become greedy, greedy, GREEDY!!!

cdnmom47 said...

I think the reason she did as well as she did was because she was held tightly by Tony the whole time and she had to do nothing on her own...no moves.
It was quite a fast dance so she had no choice but to keep up.
There was absolutely no grace or rhythm...no style.
I do agree that she was judged on a different standard than the others. When the first dancers got sixes, I was sure that she should get all 4's or even 3's, but that didn't happen for some strange reason. I think that's what she deserved.

Why does this dysfunction always have to be about the idiot parents and not the kids? Why does 'winning' mean winning that day's battle in the public war to stay in the spotlight?
They make me sick and I lost some respect for Tony when he said that, especially after her attempts to manipulate and also elicit more compliments and praise from him. Well, strap yourself in honey, because you have asked for every bit of it by putting yourself out there, including the upcoming promotions of your shameful book, exploiting your kids for your gain, yet again. Jenny said...

I felt so sorry for Tony...he apparently has to stand there and endure the pitiful poor-me talk constantly. He looked completely beaten down during the rehearsal clips. Frankly I think she thrives on looking & acting miserable since that's about the only way she can get people to sympathize with her...translation, to vote for her. Every comment she made tonight was a thinly veiled plea for votes. I try to think of just how she's got it so rough...she has 8 beautiful, healthy kids, a gorgeous home, cars to drive, millions in the bank. All she really had to do was let Jon see the kids more often and voila, crisis eliminated. But I think she literally thrives on drama so I'm sure there will be lots more to come.

Btw, Tom Bergeron was on Bonnie Hunt's show and Bonnie asked him if he thought Bruno had been a little rough on Kate. He kind of shook his head like he couldn't understand it either and commented that, "I've never seen her show but she seems like a nice lady to me." Something close to that.

So that's the issue, these people have no idea who the REAL K8 is...they just know her by the Pitiful Pearl act they've seen over the past weeks & months. And yeah, showing her mentioning the custody thing was for sure done to drum up even more sympathy. And crying...always with the crying. Gosh, what a sad way to go through life, whining around, crying and begging for sympathy. She sure seems to bounce back during the show though...seemed very cheerful to me. Out of all the rehearsal footage the show surely gets each week, why they choose only to air the crying, whining, complaining, pity me moments is all by design. Apparently it's her only claim to fame.

I actually think she was slightly improved tonight and the judges seem to have treated her slightly more kindly, probably because they too are buying into the poor thing having to deal with oh so much right now. I really was glad Carrie Ann gave her that 4...and I agree with the other posters who think the 6's were not reflective of her performance at all, especially during a week when they were being extremely critical of everyone else.

I think Erin is just such a breath of fresh air compared to K8. I mean she's bubbly & happy & positive and look what SHE's having to deal with. You don't hear HER whining & crying around about someone's sick threat to kill her! Now there's a REAL problem! I think K8 is just absolutely exhausted since she's never had to work this hard...so during her most tired, exhausted moments, she starts with the act and bringing up how hard her life is and all...just to milk it for all its worth to get Tony to not push her with so much practice. She also knows it'll be shown and the sympathy card will play well with viewers.

Oh my gosh...I can hardly believe my own disgust with this woman. If I could just see one genuine, humble, grateful, loving bone in her body, I might have 2nd thoughts...but I've yet to see anything even close to that.

Okay, a producer or some bigwig must have had a few words with the costume and make up departments, because Kate wasn't as garish this time around. Darn it, I quite enjoyed her two previous looks!

For all her plastic surgery, tummy tuck, and liposuction, she's got one of the oddest body shapes I've ever seen on a woman whose had that much work done! She must be relatively slim, yet she looks chunky. Even with her tummy tuck, I think her stomach must still protrude out because the side views of Kate are not flattering.

Yes, I will agree with the judges that this was Kate's best dance yet. But that's not saying much, since she didn't dance either of the two previous times. Tonight was the first time she attempted to dance, rather than Frankenstein walk herself around the floor. But my goodness, the music was as slow as molasses to accommodate her, as if she's as old as Buzz!

Did Tony get some scary death threats from the sheeple? Cuz he's falling all over himself to kiss her butt at every opportunity.

And I felt violated by the shot of Kate rubbing Tony's hand in a very inappropriate way during the scoring. Please Kate - he's a married man! Oh that's right, you don't care about that.

So I guess gossip columns, tabloids and blogs are now considered "news"? I guess she had to say "news" since she doesn't read about herself, even turning the trash mags around at the grocery store. What happened to not listening to what the naysayers say? But now that there's a CUSTODY issue in discussion, she MUST pay attention!
"He wins", WTF is THAT supposed to mean??? Again, nobody is making sure the kids win.
PA Mom? How is it that NOBODY is vouching for Jon? I know Kevin and Jodi tried, but nobody has come to his defence in a loooong time. Julie?? Anyone?
Snark remark- Where is that potbelly coming from? It seems to get magnified with each outfit! The makeup and hair looked good, have to admit.
If she goes this round, is there a way of getting an actual vote count? IF she gets voted off when she danced her "best" dance, then it is rigged for sure! Paid voters!

How many of us have to check the news to find out what our day is going to be like??? Most of us are well aware of our situations. Besides....how much of the news is all about her??? The news programs I watch rarely mention her and her situations.

The rest of the dancers also have issues in their lives and have to deal with them during their practices. Why is she the only one who has problems???

Bleeting Sheeple said...

Yes, I will say that Krash Kart did do better this time.
In my opinion the reason why it seems to be she is finally now possibly applying herself it to ensure that she keeps getting PAID PER SHOW.
What I am tired of is during her practice clips, is her CONSTANTLY talking about 1) The kids 2) The "PAPPARAZI" 3) The Divorce 4) The Tears.
I don't hear the others dancers referencing CONTINUALLY about their business dealings during these clips (as Kart mentioning her kids, in essence mentioning her "Business" i.e. MoneyMakers). Over the seasons I don't remember other lady dancers crying/blubbering in those clips, and if they did, it was not in just about every single rehearsal clip.
And I'm tired of everyone going on and on about her being "rhythmically challenged". She is NOT the first dancer in the history of DWTS that had little to no skill.
I say she will most likely stay for a few more weeks. Good- maybe she will actually start to get some blisters from having to do some work. I don't care if she stays IF IF IF she actually puts the work into it, improves tremendously and cleans up that attitude. Again, I can only see her truly going the distance because of her greed for money and lust for fame...... And God Bless Tony..... I would have slit my throat by now if I were him....

It looks like she did a little work this week, as it actually looks a little like a dance. But, gees, can she at least point her toes???!! It isn't that hard. I know I couldn't pull off being on this show, but I would be working round the clock to at least look decent. Kate doesn't seem to care what she looks like. And again, it was the "poor me" story..."I get up and look at the newspaper to see what kind of hell my day is going to be..." How about thinking about the hell you're putting your children through. They have to go to school and face their friend you've made an idiot of yourself.

Well, after last night, any sympathy that I had for Tony is all gone. I thought it was totally inappropriate when he said that if Kate fails, Jon wins. There was no reason for him to say that. Jon should not be brought up at all. I wonder what Mady and Cara thought when he said that? What does that even mean? If Kate fails at DWTS then she goes home to her kids. How is that Jon winning? Isn't the whole basis of the custody issue the fact that she's never with the kids because she's off doing the show? Of course, next is her book tour, so she still won't be really going home to the kids. She is so hell-bent on doing what she wants and having what she wants that she totally disregards the feelings of her children. I really feel badly for Jon because he just has to sit and take all of this and cannot say a word to defend himself. That just seems so completely unfair! As a final note, I'm sick of people going on about how much better she did last night. Better than who? Herself, maybe, but the others are still miles ahead of her. But, she will get the votes and someone who deserves to stay will go home instead. Kate really leaves a charmed life. Maybe one of these days she will finally reap what she has sown. I just hope she will learn a lesson. I know that she won't, but I can dream.....

Those first two screencaps are intriguing. Kate's facial expressions and body poses are just like those seen on mannequins. Even the skin tones look mannequin-like.

It definitely explains others' observations of things looking like Tony was carrying her around. He wasn't dancing so much as he was moving a mannequin around a room.

If they ever decide to make a "Mannequin 3", she'll be great as the stunt double for the mannequin.

rural mom said...

Tony did all the work in that dance, he figured out he just can't let Kate move on her own, has to move her arms and legs into dance positions. Where were those 4scores for the last 3 dances? The judges are definately giving Kate a psss and not judging her lack of technique. Now Kate is obsessed with winning, guess that means she'll be winning DWTS. And that may be a very good thing.

I completely agree! That comment was completely uncalled for. He knows she is a bitch so why take a swipe at the guy that had to live with it for 10+ years? He looked like a beaten man last night, pathetic in most of the practice scenes. K8 holds the reigns with him now. Whipped that boy into control like the good ice princess that she is.

She did move and look better than last week. However, looking worse and dancing worse than she did last week was not really something anyone could do, not even k8 could do that probably. Perhaps it is as some of you have said, Tony was in control of it and led her so she couldn't screw up too bad.

OMG! I am so OVER Kate and her crying , whining, boo hooing, and 'I am the victim' nonsense every week. Instead of Kate waking up every morning and the first thing on the agenda is turning on the TV to 'see how her day is going to play out' , how about making a point to NOT placate to the drama but instead make it priority to spend some quality moments with one or all of her EIGHT children! If the 'drama' in Kate's life is so over whelming to the point where she can barely find it within herself to perform at her 'job'without breaking down, and re hashing her 'drama' ad naseum, perhaps its time Kate takes a hiatus from her 'life' and seeks out some long over due self awareness therapy! I find it appauling that Kate has been 'blessed' with eight children but yet her life, according to her, from the moment she opens her eyes each day is consumed with 'drama'. Maybe if Kate would spend LESS of her time trying to market and maintain a persona that simply does not exist and stop with the constant validating her delusional 'celebrity' ego via the tabloid headlines and PRIORITIZE her time to ACTUALLY raising, acknowledging and tending to the needs of her eight children the so called 'drama' in her life would become less significant! Example. Why did Kate find it necessary to mention the custody issue to Tony during a FILMED later to be aired portion of rehersal? #1 I am certain that TONY was well aware (prior to rehersal) of Kate's custody issue. #2 By Kate mentioning the custody issue and Tony's back handed reference to Jon, isnt that instigating DRAMA where DRAMA doesnt need to be? Tony could have very easily made the same point about 'winning' if he were to simply remind Kate why she was doing DWTS, 'for her kids'.

I figured this would happen. I wouldn't say Khate was good by any stretch of the imagination, but this particular dance seemed more her speed. As soon as she was done, I knew the judges would give her more credit for "improving" than she deserved. She set the bar so low in her first 3 dances that the judges are going to praise her as long as she gets through the dance without falling, fainting, or throwing up. But my heavens, she was insufferable in that practice footage! WAH, WAH, WAH. If she does get to dance next week, I wonder what movie they will do. I'm thinking the Jaws theme would be appropriate for her to stomp around to. But my co-workers are predicting it will be a Disney movie song so she can work the "This is my EIGHT kids' favorite movie!" angle. Barf.

I know that they don't give out the results of the calling, but I wonder if we could request a full accounting of votes through the Freedom of Information Act. Howard Stern (an admitted DWTS fan) said this morning that he's bailing out on the show. He started to say why but didn't finish the thought. I think it's due to (largely) to DWTS having Kate on. The one time that they discussed her they didn't have kind things to say.....Hopefully the View will talk about this while Jone Rivers is on. She seems to HATE kate.

I said this on another blog (for those of you who are also there), but it reminded me of when I taught my huge dog to heel on a leash. She was uncooperative at first, so we got a pincher collar, and she was so obedient (a fave word of Kart's) - her adorable head would snap around when she heard the chain, because she knew it meant that she had gone too far and needed to come back before she got yanked back. That's what Kart looked like to me. Those pincher collars work very quickly - maybe we should send one to Tony. But hopefully she is headed home.

Kate's make-up, hair, and costume were 1000x better than last week. She danced better, but she just doesn't have the talent to be on the show.

I watched DWTS last week with my Mom (former professional ballerina) and Aunt... and they could. not. understand why she was even on the show. They were further perplexed as to why she wasn't eliminated the first week. I don't think this is helping Kate's brand--people who like her, always will. But others--well, they're just wondering why this mean, spoiled lady (as my Aunt referred to her after seeing how she treats her partner) is getting judged by a different standard.

OK, I'll admit, I had never actually seen DWTS. I think I saw it last night. There were fun, talented dancers. But then there was Kate, which seemed more like an episode of "Toddlers in Tiaras". You, know extra fake hair, fake tan, no talent, tantrums and whining, obnoxious stage mome......etc. Are the two shows/networks doing some sort of cross over special? The only thing that didn't quite fit was the unflattering dress that actually make her look fat, and whatever else she is, she is not fat. Oh, well, at least she was covered...

I think the reason she did as well as she did was because she was held tightly by Tony the whole time and she had to do nothing on her own...no moves.

I agree. IMO, the primary reason why Kate appeared to perform better is because the dance style in and of itself was much much slower giving Tony more control to simply 'guide' Kate through the moves which in turn presented the 'illusion' that Kate knew what the hell she was doing. Similar to that of a little girl dancing on her daddy's feet. My comparison, I thought Kate's performance was extremely subpar to the other stars who performed the same dance style. Kate didnt dance better than her previous performances, but performed a dance STYLE that worked to her advantage in that her partner could do all the work with little effort on her part, thus in the end making it APPEAR as a better performance.

Wow, the dancing still sucked in my opinion, but was not as ghastly as before. She seemed to make a little more effort, and I feel that her scores were for effort. The "behind the scenes" stuff was awful as always. My husband, who does not follow any of this, took one look at Tony's face and said, "that guy is really sick of her". To me his face just read, "how in the hell am I supposed to help you"? I just cannot believe how she's always on the pity potty. Kate is always away and is about to be away more with the book tour, publicizing, etc. Jon is asking for primary custody. He's not asking for sole custody. He's not banning her from seeing her kids. He just wants to make sure that his children are safe with him while she's away. It's not some great tragedy.

Why were Tony and Kate rocking back and forth during the scoring? She seemed to be really enjoying that aspect of the whole process. She also seems soooo aware of herself on camera. What I mean is that she seems to always be watching herself, which is a little strange. She should have had enough experience by now to either be more subtle or to just avoid always watching the play back.

I think Pam's half and half dress was symbolic of the dance itself.
It is half sizzling romance, half
graceful and soft. So, she had
a barely covered half and a flowing, billowing half, and each
side was shown to the camera in equal amounts. I think that's what "hot Latin dances" are supposed to convey - women are both demure and hot, one multifaceted package of wonderment.
I thought it was very well thought out, even if I'm not at all into watching women half dressed on TV.

Tony Wants To Kill Himself? said...

From Salon.com

Kate Gosselin

Kate's performance began with a behind-the-scenes look at her practice sessions with Tony, in which she talked about the hell that her life has become while defending herself against her ex-husband, the media, the paparazzi, the KGB, Al Gore, bluebirds and children recently diagnosed with leukemia. They are all out to make her life miserable. I'm not a big karma person, but if I were, I'm sure I'd be saying shit about blocked chakras, dark energy and chi gone off the deep end. It's not even that fun to comment on it anymore, because I really think she's soul sick in ways that Western medicine can't do anything about. She danced. It sucked. Tony wants to kill himself. The judges have decided to talk about the fact that she is better than she was before because there are no words left to describe the suffering.

I am disappointed and also angry that Tony made that comment about K8 not wanting Jon to "win". Tony has NO place saying anything like that, especially on national television.

K8 will not be "voted" off. She will "relinquish her spot" (cause she isn't a quitter) to be with her children during this difficult time as Jon sues for custody. She will neglect to mention that she is really quitting to make time for her book signing tour.

I really, really, really loathe this woman. She is a monster.

Just as Kate claims she looks at teh news each morning to see what kind of hell her day has in store for her (I know I went in this direction before but I do have a point)- I'm assuming that's how her kids feel about her when she's home.
They wake up and wonder what kind of mood Mommy is in today. Probably one look at her face, one sentence out of her mouth, and they know if their day will be miserable or tolerable. Kate sets the mood for that household and we know it's probably not pretty most of the time.
As she made that comment about checking to see what her day was going to be like I bet Mady was thinking "Welcome to our world, Mommy."

How true and how sad. Fits Kate to a T. And I happen to have a sibling just like this. It is a living nightmare. She has been diagnosed as bipolar (and probably more) but typical to the malady doesn't quite get that she needs counseling, daily meds, and has to change 180 degrees for the sake of her marriage and kids! It's just 'pity me, poor me, life is so unfair....', with NO acknowledgement that her own past off-kilter priorities and bad decisions have led her to where she is now. Hope the 8 are smart enough to realize the benefits of therapy when they are older. Their teen years will require it with a mother like Kate!

3 things that bothered me last night:
First, Kart & her "woe is me" at rehearsal(which wasn't in her basement). Good morning,Kart...do ya think that no one in the world is going through stuff, every day, that is a lot worse than you? And YOU put yourself out there so it is public knowledge & you continue to want to keep doing just that apparently.-Also, I know your lifeis really bad...did you ever think about what is happening to some one else...for instance,Erin Andrews?
Secondly, what was with her hair? Looked to me like she was late getting to make-up again & they just pulled some of it back & letthe rest just hang with some black looking extensions on the sides. Don't know why you bothered to spend the time & money on those extensions & then have your hair like that.
Third...what the heck was she on or smoking? Her eyes looked blank all the time she was "dancing".

try something new. I freely admit
dancing is not Kate's forte, but
even so, she deserves to hear something encouraging about it from the judges. I didn't think they overblew their compliments, but simply said it was an improvement over the past weeks.

Here are my sentiments exactly from Dlisted.com;

And now it's time for our weekly c*nt fest about Kate Gosselin's awkward non-dancing on Dancing for Relevancy! Last night, Kate's tortured partner Tony, who obviously was a kitten killing Nazi in a past life, had to teach her the tango. Kate just couldn't focus on the steps because she was too busy internally dealing with being Kate Gosselin: THE MOST IMPORTANT AND POPULAR WOMAN ALIVE!!!

For serious, Kate actually bitched that she HAS to check her computer every morning to see what the tabloids are writing about her that day. Kate, I'll tell you what my mother told me the last time I complained about barfing up all my internal organs after a night of binge boozing. My mother said to me, "Then stop drinking so much, you idiot!" So if Kate doesn't want to be barfed on, she needs to put the bottle down (aka stop inviting tabloid reporters over for tea and sympathy in the form of a "woe is me" cover story).

Anyway, Kate wasn't as terrible as last week, but that's really not saying much. Kate still dances like she's simultaneously holding in a fart, a queef and a sneeze. While watching Tony drag Kate around the dancefloor, I couldn't help but think of the dudes down in the subway who salsa dance with dummies for coins. Except this dummy has more rhythm and doesn't make you want to tear your ear holes off:

but hey, Ricky's coming! Gotta make him jealous! So, she starts to dance with the male mannequin trying to pass him off as Tom. His hand/forearm come off, she stuffs them into her dress and continues the dance. Round and round....until he comes apart in the middle, and she's just dancing with his upper half.

Yeah, Tony was playing Lucy on Monday night! And Kate looked as

You are so right. And this personality type will CREATE drama so that they can be seen as long suffering, courageous, honorable as they valiantly try so hard to rise above the most recent (self created) tragedy. The drama is a necessary backdrop in order to project such a saintly image.

Don't have to be Sigmund Freud to realize K8G has a personality disorder.

And if the likes of Dr. Drew had any real honor or credibility, he'd call out tv, especially 'reality' shows, for seeking and then exploiting such psychiatrically-troubled individuals.

Instead, he, too, is right there seeking and exploiting hopelessly damaged people to exploit them for viewer entertainment.

So many layers of disgusting....

I see your point and it goes along with the Golden Rule; however, I wonder if you would be willing to say the same to Kate. How about Kate being reminded to say kind and encouraging things to her children and their father. Not only does she seem incapable of such things, but she seems to have gone overboard with her verbal abuse of Her e-husband on national television. During their series, Jon repeatedly overlooked her harsh words and criticisms, only ot have her continue to insult him and disparage him to their children. Her children were repeatedly ridiculed and mocked by her. She specifically spoke with contempt of one or two children.

Yes, everybody deserves to have positive things said to and about them, but especially ones children and spouse.

So much truth (and utter hilarity) to this remark!

I am snickering at my desk, trying not to get noticed by my co-workers while goofing off!

I felt so sorry for Tony as he was getting lectured by Kate in the clip. What an ugly character she is.

Now that's pretty funny, all I saw was the "lieb" & had to go over it a couple of times because I thought you were saying something in German.

I am annoyed with Tony too for speaking about Jon, he should have the good taste to simply keep out of it. Once kate is no longer on DWTS, she will not be in his life unless he wants her there. Just put your head down & weather the storm Tony, get through it. It really annoys me that the kids were likely watching. How on earth does Jon win if kate goes home & what exactly would he be winning?? the prize can't be good if it remotely involves kate in any way.

I agree that the only reason kate did well was because Tony held her. She had a bizarre zoned out look in her eyes, I'm wondering what prescriptions this woman is taking.

@fidosmommy LOL!!!! I love that episode of Lucy & you're right, that's exactly what their dancing looked like Monday night.

WallyWinnie: "Her hair and face and body looked presentable this week. I am not saying sexy or skinny or anything like that, just not an embarrassment to her kids."
-----------------------------------
I watched a snippet of the TODAY interview with Kate this morning and, although I like to keep the focus on the kids and not too much on Kate's appearance, I have to say I thought she looked bloated and puffy except when the network was promoting the upcoming segment with her and she was over-smiling to maybe show off the pearly veneers. Is she indeed just jet-lagged? You'd think the make-up people on TODAY would try to put a little blush of color in her colorless face other than the harsh and dated dark-blue eyeshadow. (By the way, the interview...an "exclusive"!!!!...continues tomorrow.)

I can't explain it...it's like she got sorta thick all over, different from "fat." What the heck is that? Her facial skin tone is dulled; muddied. Her face looks oddly large. It's gotta be the hair...or something with the tanning? Never thought I'd vote for the rooster tail but I think this longer hairstyle drags down her face. Her features aren't delicate or fine-boned...you'd think a stylist would counsel her on what hair goes best. I guess the Kate of J&K+8 from just a few years ago...the one with less make-up; the fresh-faced mom of naturally-blushed cheeks, with cute short hair (sans spike) and wearing casual, comfortable clothes...is gone forever. I say this a little sadly...it's like one was the younger sister and we're now looking at the older sister. It's a shame but maybe it's that non-glow from within. She's lost shine.

I had to smirk a little when she said something about wishing/thinking about her life back at home baking and cooking for her kids...what! She just can't keep using these lines!

I haven't read passages from Kate's "book" but here again, the TODAY host (Meredith?) read one intended for Aaden, with Kate saying something about not being able to "father" him but trying to lead the way. (OMG, poor little kid!) What a slap in the face to his actual father! How can she act like there's no daddy in her children's lives? Sounds to me like the book is an excuse to put down Jon!

Hugh Hefner was quoted in the news as saying (I'm paraphrasing) that he thinks sex addiction is a bunch of baloney (different from sexual obsession) and Tiger simply got away with it (I guess he means because of who he is). Not that I'm a fan of old Hef because I'm sure not, but I think he could have a point. In a strange comparison, who is Kate Gosselin to be capitalizing on her kids again with these ridiculously-private "letters" in the form of a book when there are thousands of moms out there who could do it so much better? (Except most of them would never do such a thing in the first place.) She can pull it off, not because she has a legitimate subject or any talent at writing, but because of who we’ve let her become when, truly, she needs to be boycotted so she'll stand on her own two feet and make her own fame at something OTHER than her children. It's such an insult to genuine writers out there who would love to get published but don't have Kate's connections or tabloid fame.

I watched five minutes of The View with Joan Rivers co-hosting, making mincemeat of Kate while the one gal, Sherri (?) defended the whole single, working-mom thing. Somebody of the four ladies there said that Kate did a little better with the dancing. Whoopie, however, said she didn't like Kate crying around (about her life's dilemmas); translation to me, that nobody's buying her annoying, whining-like-a-big-baby “bit”).

I have to agree with commenter here, WoeIsMe, how probably all of the dancers have something to be concerned over as they concentrate on their time-consuming gig with DWTS but you don't see others going on and on about their personal lives like Kate does...of course, what else would Kate have to talk about? (And, what exactly is she trying to convey? That she’s a martyr for her children, exhausting herself with dancing, all for them, putting a guilt trip on their little heads that if they’d never been born, Mommy wouldn’t have to be so over-burdened? You have to be careful around children with that kind of attitude! It’s not how to build self-confidence in them, that’s for sure. Just how much self-sacrificing, arm-twisting did she have to go through for this multi-thousand-dollar “job” at DWTS? Go ahead, Kate…just keep talking out both sides of your mouth!)

Seriously, her self-pitying and smug mantras are too repetitive and wearing VERY thin. I've scanned a few recent articles here and there where columnists are seeing right through Kate's NOT entertaining schtick. But she's relentless in her quest for the limelight...she'll just keep slogging away on that dance floor or whatever else comes up. You know, she's like the diva actress who doesn't read reviews. Too bad, because constructive criticism can be empowering for change. Then again, only if the person is capable of self-improvement...in which case, they probably wouldn't be called a diva!

It's more a popularity contest rather than who can actually dance. Does anyone remember Maya last season, she clearly should have won and not Donnie, but with his sister buy his side she got a lot of support for him.

I really wonder if that purse Steve totes for Kate contains a flask of alcohol because she really looks like she has been dipping into the sauce. No wonder Tony has to hang onto her so tightly and drag her across the floor at times. Her vacant dead stare with her half open eyelids is really getting on my nerves. So many more deserving people belong on that show rather than a non-star like Kart..her presence is offensive and insulting on every level. I could not believe it when another female sports reporter criticized Erin and said she was making a fool of herself..Uh Hello! Has she seen Kate??

Thanks for your kind words, Canadian Mom. Your vacation with your son sounds idyllic ... how wonderful to "get away from it all" for a spell, and spend some quality bonding time with your child. [Kate, are you taking notes????]. Glad you're back!!

Kate has lost her mind, making Jon now seem sane.

And the infamous question that goes back to show 1, episode 1;
What about the kids.............
No, I mean the real kids?

Eight IS enough!

I have to ask because I cannot remember, is Sherri the one who believed the world was flat at one point? What all happened, what went on? I didn't see it. Is there a link to watch a clip anywhere yet?

Exactly. She looks thick and pasty, for lack of a better word. I'm wondering if she can't look at the "old" photo of herself, and compare it with what she sees in the mirror. I think all of the plastic surgery, botox, lipo, extensions, etc., had the reverse effect. It makes her look old and used. I took a look at that hair, and if that's what $7,500 buys, she was royally ripped off. I've seen better hair on ladies of the evening standing on street corners in the south of the city (not that I frequent that area!)...

It would certainly explain kate's face. No, no, you know what I mean. ;) the puffiness, the old before her time, alcohol abuse is not kind to people's faces at all. i mean how can you spend all that money on improvements & end up looking like kate does now??? How on earth has any of it improved her?? I don't see it & she looks much worse to me. Boxy, more saggy everywhere, no natural glow to her orange skin, horse teeth, straw glued to her head, she looks more like a bad third grade project than she does being worked on by medical professionals. If kate were a house her real estate value would be a fraction of what it was a mere 5 years ago when all of this started.

At the rate she's going when she hit's 40 she'll look older than Methuselah.

I was glad to hear their real opinions for once too. When they did the beginning of the show with Joan backstage, she did not say Kate's name, but she said something like 'I can't stand that bitch' and then a second later it was announced they would discuss Kate on DWTS.

ET is on. Kart looks like a tube of toothpaste, squeezed from the middle. Who advises this woman on her clothes? Either they hate her, or they need to be fired. Her shirt looks too small - smocked on top and then pulled tight over the uniboob/tummy. It should be flowing below the smocking, but it gives a whole new meaning to her being full of herself.
