Maybe she wanted to publicly wish her GROWN son a happy birthday. She did not share her childhood letters to him about the splitting up of a family. She has a great relationship with her kids, unlike Khate. I'm sure he was happy to read it. She has lots of fans and she also probably wanted to share with them how she feels about her adult son. Has nothing to do with what Khate did..
Kate's dancing shoes are in UK sizes. A 5.5 is a USA 7 1/2 or 8.

As for the ever plummeting Amazon price... I will be interested when they pay US to read that crap. If the current trend is any indication of things to come, Id say that should be in about three weeks.
And, Kate/TLC please note, I wont even entertain the idea for less than a dollar a page.
(If that is what the Amazon review was referring to ...I dont care if OTHER people subject themselves to the horrors and lies of her book, Im just saying: for me, it would take $1/page min. Thats all. BTW~ that reviewer didnt seem to mind spewing hate, did they? Glass houses... stones... Pots... kettles... you know the drill.)

I agree about the toe thing, it has nothing to do with her feet or her shoe size or toe size for that matter. It is the fact that she cries sacrifice, poverty, debt, and that she misses her kids when she is supposed to be practicing in the basement while they are upstairs, making all these disclaimers about first and foremost a mom - how busy and exhausted she is what with all the baking and the many casseroles and then she is out and about over-indulging herself at every turn. It is the deceit, the lying, the manipulation of the mom base. We all know that it is a lie yet there are some with blinders on that fuel her efforts to insult and play all us real moms for a fool. She is just a despicable person any way you look at it. Open season....

I remember one version of Cinderella where the stepsisters cut off part of their foot to fit into the glass slipper. One cut off a toe (Like Khate's big Flintstone toe) and the other, I believe, sliced off her heel. They were caught out when the Prince saw the blood. Maybe that's how Khate fit into 5 1/2 (I know, I know, they probably WERE Euro. size 5 1/2, not US) and why she has to get such frequent pedis.
Oh - forgot to add - I checked the sizes chart that's in the back of my yearly calendar. A British 5 1/2 is the equivilent of a US 7 or a Euro 39. Sounds like Khate's shoes were still too small. I doubt seriously that Khate wears a size as small as a 7. 8 - 9 is more like it, based on her height/bone structure and appearances.
This may sound crazy, but regarding the difference in the way Kate looked on DWTS vs how she looks now: I think possibly they were actually padding her midsection to make her appear thicker and more "mom-shaped" to perpetuate that (gag) "poor single mom" image she's trying so hard to put out there.
I googled some images and looking at pics of her in her costumes even vs. her in her practice outfits you can see a difference in her midsection.
It's possible that maybe it was just the wardrobe department hating on her and making her look bad, but as much as Kate likes to flaunt herself I don't think she'd allow it unless she had no choice (TLC is the boss, after all!).
Isn't Kate wonderful? She donated her shoes! Of course she didn't buy the shoes, didn't own the shoes and it probably wasn't her idea....and no one is bidding on them...but shoot! It is a wonderful gesture....by someone.
I think it is rather nasty, actually. Who wants someone elses sweaty dance shoes? EW! Only a crazed fan would buy such a thing.
One thinks of the ultimate fate of John Lennon, Rebecca Schaeffer, and Selena. Only that type of fan would buy such a thing as shoes....why would anyone want to be famous and attract rabid fans? Why would anyone willingly put their innocent babies in such a situation? Fans who spend hours making videos of YOUR baby? Creepy. I just find the whole thing horrid and creepy.
Maybe the pair of shoes she's donating are one of the ones Billy Bush gave her for the kids. Mady or Cara had to donate their shoes!

OH, I definitely think that the way Kate was 'costumed' on DWTS was completely orchestrated and premeditated. Thus, a week after her boot from DWTS, the revealing of Kate's 'abs' in a staged photo op in the parking lot of a nail salon. Remember, this is the woman who demanded that the DWTS designers dress her appropriately as she has eight young children to consider, but yet, thinks nothing of walking around in public (knowing full well the presence of A photographer)wearing an ill fitted sports bra exposing her bare mid section.

I most sincerely doubt that the evil one will really do this once she finds out that her little slaves will not be hers to do with whatever she pleases in CA. I posted something earlier this week regarding the sub-discussion on Todd Bridges. The evil one is too narcissistic and too infantile to accept that she would not be able to run her set (household) the way she can run it today. In PA they may have taken out "work permits" and set up accounts, but they are free from the type of oversight and rules that exist here in CA for children working in the entertainment industry - and there is absolutely no way that TLC would risk their ability to do business by violating the extensive labor laws which protect professional children in this state. I don't see her sitting by quietly while a set child wrangler tells the production crew they shall not film the children partially nude, using the bathroom, or in conditions which put them physically at risk, not enough food and water, rest, shelter etc. She wouldn't allow the children's father to have input regarding whether something was appropriate or not... I just don't see her moving to a place like CA until she no longer requires her 8 little slaves to bring home the bacon.
As far as Todd Bridges (and other Different Strokes cast) are concerned, those child actors were treated according to the laws in place at that time, they had set teachers, child wranglers and their Coogan accounts were funded. Their parents took the monies permitted as agent and manager - which was far more money that they had ever had before. However, the issue with these young stars is a perennial problem, they are entitled to their Coogan money when they turn 18. If you had never had a "normal" moment in your young life and all of a sudden someone gave you 750,000 dollars, can you say that you would have used good judgement, or would you, as they did, try to get some "childhood" for the one you lost working.
Just one observers opinion.
I was listening to one of my local radio stations today (WAAF-for all you New Englanders) and Lisa Lampenelli was on. For those who have not heard of this comedienne, she is one loud mouth, brash, says it like it is women. Well, she started talking about Kate.
She said she hated her. She hates people that are famous for doing nothing. I think her exact words were: "What is she famous for? Dumping a bunch of kids out of her vagina?" Everyone there agreed that she uses her kids to get ahead and that her new show will flop. Lisa also said "No, I really hate her, those fricken kids made her famous and she's spending all their money". They said a few other non-printable things, this being Lisa Lampenelli, but none-the-less, hysterical! Total Kate-bashing at it's finest!!

ROL reporting is always horribly lacking in research and full of grammatical errors suggesting it is written by some pretty unprofessional "journalists". They throw the story out there that she has tiny feet because they heard the shoes were a size 5.5. Anyone can see she doesn't unless they are blind. I wonder where they find these people.
And I'm pretty sure baby mama is wondering right now how to bid on those shoes.
I don't care what size shoe Kate wears. I wouldn't want to touch any shoes her skanky dirty feet have been in. She should understand... since she's such a germaphobe and all.
About the school bus stop:
The kids go to a private school, so students come from all over - no set geographical boundaries like public schools. Many private schools that offer bus service do the same thing - establish a pickup/dropoff point that is central to an area where enough familes live who want to use the service. Some private schools build in the cost of bus service in their tuition, while others simply offer it as an "extra" service, requiring the parents using it to pay the cost. In either case, they are trying to keep the expense as low as possible; hence the centralized bus stops.

If you look at the infamous bikini shots of Kate, she has a flat tummy above her abnormally high faux belly button, but a few inches below it, she has what resembles a kangaroo pouch. She must have no muscle tone there because of her uberpregnancy, so I bet her lower belly is flabby without the spanxx.
And running around saying she has tiny feet is just begging for ridicule. The woman is l-a-r-g-e, right down to that Flinstone toe.

Most definitely Kate is in cahoots with the tabloids. If there were no tabloids , Kate would NOT have a 'career'. Scandel and controversy = tabloid headline = Kate's 'career'.

I'm a regular customer at Amazon.com. I own a Kindle and I post on several book threads there regularly (mostly on mysteries). I searched for both Al Walentis and "The Secret Life of Jon and Kate" and came up with nothing. Maybe the book is only in the planning stage at present? Or maybe it's at the publisher but a release date hasn't been set yet? Anyway, that's one book I will definitely be pre-ordering. Sure hope it comes in a Kindle version!

Well now that we've found out about it you know that TLC is going to place a LARGE bid to make it seem like she's popular...it's only a matter of time. That way ROL can report (just in time for her new show) how much the shoes went for and that her shoes sold for the most.
Dlisted has pictures of Kate picking the kids up from the school bus in the mall parking lot. There is one particular picture where some random guy is flipping the bird at the cameras. What is more interesting is in the background of this picture, you can clearly see the not-a-nanny in the van helping the kids get settled. So does this mean super-mom Kate can't even pick up her own children from the school bus and get them in the van without help??? It is funny that when Radar Online has bus pictures they only ever show Kate hard at work doing everything on her own because she is a single mom you know and she doesn't have help (roll my eyes here).

It's bizarre.

What a very excellent point! Charity begins at HOME and NO ONE needs more help than the poor Gosselin 8. May the heavens watch over them.
Kate is not very photogenic. The cameras just don't like her. That's why she looks so different, even odd, in so many photos and videos. There may be one decent photo for every 100 or 1,000 bad ones.

I really have no comment about Khate's shoe size it is that mouth of hers that I would like a measurement on!

I think it is the effect of different camera lenses, odd camera angles, lighting, and even the devices we use to watch with. Also,
stars get training in the basics of what a camera captures--how to stand, how to hold your head, which expressions highlight your best features, etc. Photos aren't exactly the same as what we see with our naked eye.
Think of how easy is to take a bad picture--accidentally--of someone you like, making them look fat, old, spaced out, or mean. The tabs keep lots of extremely unflattering candid photos of stars on file to use to discredit them.
I think Kate is a perfectly normal, healthy weight. Most women we see as stars are extremely thin, and I think that distorts our perception of her.
At the same time, she has a stunningly distorted picture of herself--she wears unflattering clothes, shoes, and hairstyles. Wrong cuts, wrong sizes, wrong shapes, wrong age. Wrong garment for task at hand--let me just say bouncy castle and leave it at that.
All that vanity and self-centeredness--all to no avail! Narcissism is such a waste (insert smirk here).

I was wondering...
In light of the hearings regarding children in reality television that were just held in PA, is the PA Attorney General going to look into the fraud perpetuated by the Gosselins against the churches they spoke at where they received "love offerings" under false circumstances? From what I understand, their methods were similar to charity style Ponzi schemes (soliciting money under false pretenses, i.e. they had no income and could not support their children).
Has anyone in PA looked into this? Or has too much time gone by? Just curious.

Kate looked bad on DWTS because she just down right looked bad! Either Kate didnt care that her dance outfits were not flattering to her ACTUAL physique OR it was an intentional ploy to instigate more fodder for the bloggers and gossip/entertainment media. Considering that Kate's so called 'career' is so heavily founded on tabloid headlines and the love her vs hate her debate, my money is on the latter. Hence, the staged photos and accompanying headlines of Kate's 'abs' the week following her boot from DWTS.
Crispybacon - I saw that picture too- and decided she couldn't possibly bother to make sure they were in their safety seats correctly! Who her, um, bother to buckle her kids in?
I guess Kate gave up angling for that Starbucks sponsorship. I can imagine the commercial she had in mind:'Kate Gosselin, you have 8, count 'em 8, kids. How do you do it all?' 'Well, I pamper myself with a Starbucks drink once a day!' I have not seen photos of her there lately when she used to go daily. ( I just thought of this as I was at Starbucks today)
Now the addiction is manicures and pedicures every other day. She has an addictive personality. She's addicted to fame, attention, money, freebies, plastic surgery, lying..

I had to share with my fellow GWOPers my own "Kate Gosselin" experience today. I was on my way to pick up my son after school and stopped for a stop light. A silver convertible Corvette came up behind me, stopping very close. And lo and behold, the driver was a Kate clone, with her old spiky blond striped hairstyle. I mean, this woman looked so much like Kate I did a double take - right down to the dissatisfied scowl on her made up face. She had the french nails too!
Anyway, the light turned green, she zipped to my left and passed me and then pushed her way back into the lane a few cars ahead. See, entitlement attitude just like Kate!
Very surreal.
I wanted to add -- this morning I was listening to the radio on my way to work, a local Bay Area station. They were talking about some survey that asked "who's the hottest single mom in Hollywood?" Results were 65% voted for Sandra Bullock. Madonna was way down on the list, as was Pamela Anderson. Then the girl host said, "There were zero votes for Kate Gosselin," and the male host hooted and said, "Well that's no surprise." Then I was at work and had to turn it off, don't know if they talked about it any further.
