While I am thrilled that the show is finally ending, for the kids' sake, it is unfortunate that Kate will almost definitely get a show of her own now on TLC. It might take a little while to develop, and it could easily flop once it airs, but it's pretty clear that this woman wants to continue in television and will pursue it at any cost. For that reason, her children's lives won't get much easier--not until their mother decides to think of them before herself. They have jump-started her TV career, which seems to be the main thing she cares about now.

In any case, perhaps the kids will finally get a LITTLE bit of their privacy back. We're not talking about them being able to go back to a completely normal life, but if the camera could stop zooming in on their hysterically crying faces and capturing their private moments in their home, that would be a pretty decent start. Let's hope that some true good comes out of this for them...

I can't imagine what sort of show TLC would develop for Kate. Aside from the 8, what could she do that would be interesting to watch? I am sitting here trying to come up with a single idea and I can't.

I have a new theory...I really do think this could all have been a publicity stunt to up ratings but also get a way out of the show.
With Jon's new little video spoof about changing his ways and going back to the way he was ...then Katie continually says things like "I wish he would go back to the old Jon." Or saying she wished he would call and it would be the old Jon.
Then they say they are going to be together for Christmas and Kate will make her famous sticky buns....I can see Christmas being their way of getting back together and then telling public that with the TV cameras off they were able to pull it back together. That hailey was in on the whole thing and had Kate's blessings. I mean wasn't it kind of strange that he hooked up with her and not some stranger or some chick he met somewhere else. I think it was all planned by them and the network to boost ratings, get as much as they could out of it and also get rid of cameras so the kids could go on with their lives.
Maybe...

An idea for Kate's show?
Teaching how to say "Um" as many times as you can in a sentence.
How to have the ugliest hairdo known to man.
How to demasculate your man.
How to scream at your kids.
101 uses for a wooden spoon.
The list can go on and I bet she will..

My guess is that she'll attempt some kind of "organi-Kate" show, where she teaches all the viewers at home how to make delicious, healthy, 100% organic meals for the kiddies. Insert a few anecdotes about her perfect little children, what a great mom she is, and how much she wishes she could be with them right now, if only she didn't have to put on her make-up and designer clothes and parade her self-absorbed self in front of the camera.

Going back to my original point, the new show could easily tank, and it probably will. The kids were a main draw with the original show, and millions of people watched because of them, not because they particularly like listening to Kate for 30 minutes.

Knowing TLC, they'll probably do what they did with "Jon and Kate" this season, and they'll let the disastrous new show flounder for several months before finally accepting the truth and pulling the plug. Of course, even if that happens, Kate will push and push some more until she finds something else on TV.

As for me, I forced myself to watch "Jon and Kate Plus 8" this season because I like the kids, but when it's just Kate, you can forget about it. My TV won't settle on that channel for even two seconds, and that's one promise that I will NOT break.

I don't really care if Kate gets a television job as long as she doesn't drag the kids on the air with her. Face it, she's got to be the worst mom possible for these kids, and at least if they are lucky and have a kind, nurturing nanny, they are better off with her than with their own mother. And if they have privacy and fade into relative obscurity they might get a chance at at healthy adulthood. I wish the best for the 8 kids.

Do what one poster said...work a shift at McD's.

Next episode, sell clothes at Ann Taylor. Work in Target, dunkin donuts, starbucks, barnes and noble. organic farm, spa, salon, do hair.

there are all sorts of things to do!

Well, nothing around children. especially icky boys. YUCK :)

I can see where some might think this whole divorce thing was a ploy for ratings.
I would say 'maybe', except for the fact that Kevin and Jody have told on national tv that Jon told them what had occurred.
I find them credible.

Kris said...

She may or may not get a show of her own. Even if she does, it won't last. Seriously, without the kiddos she wouldn't have been able to make any money at all in the entertainment industry.

Angel1 said...

I'm just glad there's finally some sort of announcement. I hope the 8 can have some sort of a normal life now. At least as normal as they can have with a mother like Khate.

jibberjabbers said...

Honestly, who cares if Kate gets a new show. As long as the kids aren't in it, then there is no reason to bash Kate and her new TV gig.

Let her 'show' run its course and maybe it'll be a huge wake up call for Kate if and when it fails.

But for now, TLC will be replacing the Monday pm slot with Cake Boss.

Sidney said...

I hope TLC ropes Kate into a show of her own, and that it tanks. That would be divine justice!

theresa said...

Now that it is over...one can only hope that these children will become the center of their parents' lives. I doubt that will happen but at least J&K+8 is done and we no longer have to be witness to the abuse these children endure.

BTW...I can't wait for Maddy's tell all book!! 2018 can't get here fast enough!!

suze said...

Can't stand Cake Boss, That guy is as loud and obnoxious as Kate.

And as far as Kate getting a show- so what? As long as the kids arent involved why should we care. She does need to make a living and if a talk show works, then I say go for it.

Susan said...

If Kate doesn't get her own show, there are so many "celebreality" shows on TV...she'll do fine! I saw the other day that mean-spirited Omarosa from Trump's original reality show a few years ago is getting her own gig. I guess anything is possible.

Joanne said...

TLC will never learn. Why would they give this idiot her own show? She has no talent. All she did was have 8 kids, and so have many other people.
She needs to go back to nursing because she wont be able to keep up the lifestyle one it sinks in that NO ONE CARES about Kate Gosselin.
I dont know why her and jon think they get to stay in the entertainment business when it was the kids that got them on in the first place, NOT THEM. Stupid people.

AnneMarie said...

TLC Sick of JON"S antics?? Seriously? Kate's no walk on the normal side either!

Stupid network.

missycristin said...

I don't "care" if Kate gets her own show, I simply can't understand how anyone would find her entertaining. I was never on the "don't watch" bandwagon, but I did fast forward through a good part of every episode that I DVR'd. It was the same old stuff over and over again.

Ladylou said...

The J&K plus 8 is over and I am so happy!!!!

I too don't care what Mrs. Gosselin does for TLC, she won't hold her own for very long.

I have a brand new granddaughter. Brea Elizabeth is only 5 days old and my interest in the Gosselins has been pushed way back since she has been born.

I say thanks to God every day my family is middle class and works hard and our 15 year old granddaughter secretly wrote on my kitchen note board.. " I love everyone who lives in this house" which pretty much means what it said as everyone was gathered in our home for a celebration dinner. I am glad we have as much as we need and not as much as we "want".

Greedy Kate will never know the peace she could have had... had she not had dollar signs in her eyes.
I wish she could feel the love we all have for each other and we cherish every minute of it... the good (and there are more of this)
and the bad of really living a life not just existing in a life.

* * *

I couldn't agree more. If TLC or any other network wants to give Kate a show all her own -- that doesn't bother me one bit. I know that any show featuring a solo Kate is doomed to dismal ratings and won't last too long :)

However, I actually am hoping she gets some sort of show or other work that will keep her busy, away from home a lot, and let those kids have as much time away from her as possible.

I believe Kate never was and never will be a good mother to those children. Therefore, I don't wish for her to spend more time with them.

For the Moment? said...

I think many things will come in the law suits that prevent the name Gosselin being attached to any type of family show. I predict Kate's next gig might be Playboy. She is working on a six pack she says. I think it is a big mistake for Kate to team with TLC against the father of her kids. She is a Gosselin. Her children are Gosselins. The name will be destroyed and never again linked to family-oriented entertainment.

The party is over for K8 period, although she obviously doesn't think so because she thinks she is interesting. We all have seen what a dufuss she appears when she has been on other shows and the topic isn't about her. -what can she talk about? Childcare....hair-styling ...fashion...how to win friends and inffluence people ...recipes(she's not a recipe follower, she said on an episode)...sports...table manners ...keeping your"cool" ??
--I don't think she has much to contribute to any show...unless it's how to dress and/or screech for Halloween.

"As long as the kids aren't in it, then there is no reason to bash Kate and her new TV gig."
=========================

Sure there's a reason to bash Kate and her new show (and it's still a big IF she gets a show). The only reason she's attracted attention is due to her kids, not because she has any talent as an entertainer. So it will be interesting to see what, if anything, TLC decides she can do to carry a show by herself. It's painfully obvious from her appearance on The View, as well as the slapped-together J&K+8 shows she's narrated, that she has no hosting skills. Without the little moneymakers, Kate's dull and boring as hell. Whatever TLC creates for her (IF they do) is doomed to fail.

I am surprised that Khate is not in the media today sobbing and whining and playing the victim now that the show is over. That would be her normal response to evoke sympathy from the sheeple to at least be able to get back on the scamming church circuit. I don't know, but I am not yet ready to say it's over yet. TLC and the G's are slimy, plotting crud and one can never predict what they will pull.

HALLELUJAH!!

Stick a fork in Kate, she's done! She can't sustain a show by herself, that would take talent. As for Jon's show biz aspirations? Please. As if.

My prayer is that the children get a guardian ad litem SOON, and that they get some much needed therapy to process what has happened to them and to adjust to REAL real life.

YEE HAW!

Kids! Go have a normal life! Run, play, eat, roll in grass, make crafty things, experiment, laugh,
learn and grow in love!

Jon! Take care of those 8 wonderful
children and show them how absolutely precious they are to you! Love them, lead them, support them, teach them, nurture them with everything you've got.

Kate! I don't care what you do, just do it without making your children be part of a matching set,
supporting your lifestyle while being watched by 1.6 million people across 2 countries. Get your own life, Kate, and for once
please put your children first for real. Thank you.

YEE HAW! The Gosselin 8 are Free!

I'm glad for the children that now maybe they can finally get some privacy and live their young lives out of the spotlight.
Their parents, however, are another story. I really don't care what Jon or Kate does as long as the kids aren't dragged in it.
If Kate gets her own show--I know I won't watch it--but it's a free country, the sheeple can tune in. There's plenty of vapid, no-talent reality TV "stars" out there already--what's one more?
I have no idea what Jon will be able to do right now--he seems almost unmarketable. Telling him to work any job is fine, but jobs are none too plentiful in the state of PA (as elsewhere) at the present.

SuzieO said...

I'm glad it's over too although I hope that includes the re-runs. I have been confused for some time about the re-runs. There is well over a hundred episodes and for some reason they keep showing the same 15-20 episodes over and over again. I wonder why?

Did anyone see this in the NY Post?

Jon is "TOO FAMOUS" to get a job? Whatever drugs he's on, I wish he'd share! LOL!

"Being famous has led reality TV star Jon Gosselin to think that he can't go out and get a regular job.

In court papers obtained by the celebrity Web site RadarOnline.com, Gosselin, who is battling cable network TLC in a breach of contract suit, said the reason he can't get a regular job is because he's too famous."

You know the old saying "It aint over until the fat lady sings" well I am waiting until after the court case to celebrate. Like a previous poster, I do not trust T.L.C. or Kate.
I hope with all my heart that this is the final freedom for the kids and if their mother (excuse the term), does get a job it is a continent away from those children. Whether Jon wants total responsibility is another question after his "run of freedom", these kids could spend an awful lot of time without parents.
At the moment we are celebrating the fact that they are not actually being filmed in a show, but the rabble continues to film them elsewhere.
We can only hope that this ends soon. I do not and never have, bought into the scam theory, too much issue here.
Whatever T.L.C. has planned for Kate, we know she will never carry it successfully and who knows, T.L.C. may be hoping this too and they can wash their hands of this fiasco. They almost have to keep her happy until final custody and lawsuits are through, this may take a long, long time.
T.L.C. may have earned a lot off the Gosselins' backs, but may wish they had never heard of them.
Kate will probably end up in the tattoo parlour....Come and get yer Tattoo, free with a coupon!!!"

It's possible TLC is only telling Kate that they're thinking of or planning a show for her to keep her on good behavior and to keep her from joining Jon in a lawsuit against them.

I am guessing (with nothing to support my hunch) that the TLC suit will result in a "compromise" that includes annual TV specials. Anyone else think this?

For me, I think this is enough. The house of cards have fallen. The funny part is that if those two weren't so greedy it would still be standing. They would still have a show. But no, Khate wanted to be a STAR. She couldn't stand faking being a housewife anymore. She kicked Yawn to the curb. The truth got out. And here we are.

Job prospects for Kate.

- dog trainer
- children's hair stylist
- adult woman clothing stylist
- late night infomercial host to sell her books or hair styling products (Get the porcupine look!)
- teacher aide for preschool class
- voice coach for "husband calling" contestants (SuuuuuEEEE!)
- a medical model (paid patient)
for med student rotations in plastic surgery
- a shoe designer

Maybe she will be doomed to sit home and watch videos of her show and critique them all day, every day. TLC loves her so much, why not?

------------------

Excellent point Betty. Not that Kate might sue but that keeping on her good side and dangling goodies in front of her is clearly a good strategy for TLC to keep her happy and on side, while they fight Jon, and to have access to the kids if they do manage to beat down Jon as a parent to the point that he can't prevent them filming.

I don't care if Kate gets a project or a show, people can watch or not watch as they see fit. My concern was the kids in the 40 shows a season fishbowl with their parents being given enough incentive to act like jerks for the camera even beyond what their natural inclinations towards being jerks might lead them to. Even for the kids to be filmed - a reasonable number of hours, for pay that they get to keep, that is protected from scheming parents, under the normal child actor restrictions and protection, doesn't bother me. However I don't think that can happen with TLC - they will get the bit in their teeth and run with it so better to not have the kids on camera at all.

I can't see Kate doing anything of interest but if she does, I think anyone is free to bash her for the same things they'd bash any other celebrity for. Bitching at Jon or about him, or talking about how wonderful she is as a mother and how precious the footage - I mean MEMORIES - is, is not going to get her very far.

Kate as the tv personality talking about her organic feeding of the kids she left behind (or would she do it in her kitchen because some of us are out talking while others of us are making dinner?) might not be that interesting. Most of us know how to put grapes on a plate but if the sheeple want to tune in and see their muse, go for it. She has used the kids to get famous and now she will have to take her lumps, get the projects she can get, like anyone else would do who has that kind of media exposure. How many reality show people have gone on to have real, lucrative FILM or tv careers? I don't know because I don't watch but it will be intersting to see if TLC can make a silk purse out of this thing they created. I'm sure they'll try.

stopthemadness said...

Arent there 2 more shows? one to see all the ugliness as it all went down (Kate approved of this?) and hear her fake protests "Did I actually say that? tee hee, that's so the old me" and the real last one which will be what? Kate tell HER side for the tenth time and blame everything on Jon and talk about what she's going to do next I suppose. We'll all be on pins and needles for that.

I do find it distressing that Kate will find other TV avenues open to her after the end of J&K plus 8. The only reason Kate has a public profile is because she abused medical science and then exploited the brood of children she knew she could not support emotionally or financially. To offer her more media exposure, even without her children in tow, is to continue to reward her for exploiting them in the first place.

The final episode is from when Jon took the kids to the firehouse on August 25th. The one where the kids were put to work selling lemonaid rather than Jon/TLC writing out a check.

I would imagine any couch time/interview with him is also from that date. I don't think TLC has filmed him since. Does anyone remember anything later?

Teresa said...

The above is on season 4 episodes of K8 & Jon. Seems TLC is systematically removing all the "ugly" K8 moments. If you have saved episodes on YOUTUBE. Do something to make sure TLC techies can't get at them. Who knows, maybe Jon has been getting some evidence regarding K8's abuse of him and the children, for the upcoming divorce.

THANK YOU GOD!! I'm so happy to hear this news, but I agree with the poster upthread who said it won't really be over until the lawsuits are settled. At least, in the meantime, the kids may get to have some semblance of a normal life. The tups have never known what it is like to be out of the spotlight, and Mady and Cara have been in the middle of this mess since they were 3 1/2, so I doubt they have many memories of life before the show. Jon - please stand your ground and make sure they aren't exploited in Khate's "new" show.

Kate will probably be as successful on television as Laura Schlessinger was. When LS started her show they actually had to pay people to be in the audience. The show never aired.

From the looks of the last few weeks tabloid covers the JK frenzy is over and so is Kate. All of her lies finally caught up to her and a lot of the people who used to support her now mock her.

I think we'll see a common path from here on out. She will try a few things and won't get ratings and will become obscure. Maybe she will do a TLC Christmas special or something once Jon realizes he needs to let his kids be filmed in order to live the lifestyle he wants.

Then Kate (and probably Jon) will write a tell all book. She will promote it by saying that she realizes she had problems, went to a therapist or whatever, and saw the light. Just like all of the other has been celebs who suddenly have to write books about childhood abuse or addiction. Celebs like Kate will scrape the bottom of any barrel to try to get back in the limelight.

Yes, Kate will have a revelation when the paps stop following her. She might get a couple of weeks of notice for her revelation but then will disappear from the radar screen again.

The woman thinks she has special talents to promote because TLC told her this but she doesn't.

Gimme a break I sure deserve it said...

I think I have a good idea for Kate's new show. It could be centered around Kate trying a new job for a week. There would be choices and the kids choose. There reactions to watching footage of her working are filmed. I think this would satisfy KateHaters and fans alike.

:)

"Kate is going to provide new insights into their recent life events"??

AS IF Kate Gosselin is capable of insight of any kind on any topic, most ESPECIALLY herself and the life she has so totally screwed up.

TLC and Kate are going to pile it high & deep til the very last possible nanosecond. And with melodramtic music swelling in the background to set the mood for that special touch of 'reality'.

SPARE ME.

The future said...

I think Jon will sign a contract with TLC to allow the kids to be filmed again (w/o the clause about him being able to take them off again) IN EXCHANGE for TLC paying him (not in a joint account with Kate) per episode he is in and allowing him to pursue other venues for income.

And I think TLC will start filming kate and the kids again with an episode here and there with Jon in it...with a catchy new show name and more about Kate than the family.

Hope rises that a positive outcome from this show would be to kickstart legislation to protect children in reality media. At a minimum I hope it jars the conscience of legislators to start a dialogue with each other on the need to protect children in the face of greedy parents and greedy networks. Society, as shown in this blog, does not condone uncontrolled filming ... legislators need to listen and to protect our future.

Whatever show they do with Kate will be a failure. Even if all the sheeple watch, that's still not a very large viewing audience. J&K's numbers were falling, and that included people who watched strictly for the children. Remove the children from the mix and Kate is just not at all interesting to watch. In fact, she's downright annoying. I would never tune in. I can't stand the woman.

I don't understand the Draconian grip TLC has on this family. On Bravo, people come and go on reality shows all the time. They leave midseason, the come on for a few episodes, they leave and come back as their life circumstances allow. It all seems more casual. Those Bravo shows are highly successful too.

Why is TLC trying to ruin the father of this family?

Unless it's all for show? Why is Jon agreeing to a televised sitdown with Kate on TLC after all this????
After all the animosity? Something's very fishy.

where's Jon No more Kate said...

I will never watch TLC again nor will my family. We have discussed the way TLC has treated Jon and are appalled.

What ever happened to The Learning Channel?

TLC has become, for me, digusting because I think of how they have used/exploited those children and treated their dad.

Everyone knows Kate is a liar and they support that...Kids cry to be back on tv...if so it's because of what she's said..she is a liar and crazy. I feel for those kids to have to live with her.

Kara, the theory has been articulated since the very first tabloid photo was taken. If you go back in the blogs, waay back, you'll see many have surmised the same. Add in a new book about reconciliation and the Church tours (moneygrabs), seminars, interviews to follow etc., and noone will ever remember all the LIES, or maybe they will??

I feel really sorry for the Tups. They don't know what it's like to live a normal life. When Kate said "They love filming!" I did believe that could be true. Not because filming is good for them, but because it's all they know. Now it's going to be hard for them to adjust to leading a life without the camera people and the trips. I wish them luck
As for J&K, I find it rather disgusting that they think they have a future in entertainment, but I don't care as much now that the kids aren't involved

Whether its Kate's show, JOn's show, hailey's show, their reunion, reconcialiation, whatever, if it comes to fruition, it will not last two shows. Why - because its all very self serving and not entertainment. And if there is any friction at all, it will certainly not be watched by people becasue everyone has enough dramas in their own lives. And if everyone is all lovey dovey, its worse again because its all very self serving and FAKE. Everyone's been fooled enough.

VIDEO: Kate Says She Wouldn't Get Out Of Bed Without The Kids

that's funny. she wouldn't get out of bed when she had them either.
(that was in the second special? or was it the first one? she had to have her coffee brought to her in bed)

Whatever. Maybe by some miracle Kate will be so busy with her new show that her unemployable husband will have to stay and do lots of custody with the kids (and maybe get alimony. it would serve her right to have to pay him)

And to top it all off, I won't be the least bit interested in watching it. Yay! (maybe the dogs can come back, though that might really confuse the dogs)

Then Kate (and probably Jon) will write a tell all book. She will promote it by saying that she realizes she had problems, went to a therapist or whatever, and saw the light

you know what, though? if she actually does hit bottom, go to a therapist, and see the light, that would be a *good* thing.

(and if Jon reads a book, I'd like to read it. as long as he gets an editor to read it first. i hate it when he sounds stupid.)

Amen Lucy. It's long overdue for Kate (and Jon) to make their own careers and stop riding on the backs of their children. And if the laws are changed to prevent this kind of mess from happening again all the better.

Actually, she already did and nobody cared. No one took her side on that issue. She said her children were sad there's no filming during that weekend. Then, all the commentators say that if your children have withdraw from filming, that's actually a very bad sign that your children are addicted to cameras. They say that you better remove the cameras while they are young.

Other than the obvious reasons that this show must end, there is one thing to consider outside of the Gosselins for the demise of it all. SPONSORS! TLC may not be able to get sponsorship anymore because the idiots went public with their finances and cried poor me when those who were padding the pockets knew better. I agree that TLC is wagging the new show in her face to keep her quiet and under their wing a little longer. I think finding sponsors for another show for her would be a tough sell at this point.

Molly, you are so right about this! I know a family who is always running around. Their kids are involved in every opportunity that exists. They rarely have a quiet day at home. So when my daughter once had their daughter over to play, that child was BORED. She didn't know how to sit and play with Barbies, or to get involved in a pretend game of "house." In my opinion, her lifestyle isn't all that good for her, but it's all she knows. Same goes for the Gosselin 8.

That is a beautiful statement. I wish we all had that perspective. Maybe this country wouldn't be in the mess we're in if we did.

As for the future of J&K:

The lawsuit will keep J&K off the air long enough I hope for people to forget about it. Once J&K stop being featured in the media ad nauseum as they currently are, people will forget and move on to the next train wreck.

TLC will likely be successful in their lawsuit against Jon who will be ordered to make restitution. Jon is hosed, financially. Hopefully this will be his true wake up call. He will write a tell all but most if the profits will go to TLC. Can anyone say Willie Aames?

Kate will try and pursue other tv gigs. There may be some initial curiosity but that will fade and in the end she'll have her own "epiphany", come back to the Lord and write a book about it. She'll do the Christian talk circuit (which is what she knows and how she got her start) and will make a little $ that way. She'll remarry someone and try to become queen in her small pond.

The kids, like many other children of the self centered and self absorbed, will grow up spoiled and desperate for attention. There will most likely be learning issues, possibly drugs and reckless behavior. Family will do what they can but ultimately the kids are J&K's and no court is going to take away their parental rights.

TLC may be talking about giving kate her own show to keep her under "contract" and keep her under theire control so that they can film specials with the kids around the different holidays. Those types of specials would sitll be moneymakers for tlc and would probably draw an audience of sheeple who need a "kate fix". If by some chance she gets a gig with another network or something she may be under contract to the new network and tlc would be left out in the cold.

I can't see how the kids are now "going to be able to run free, in the grass" etc. (Paraphrase) They will live pathetic little existences, devoid of affection or normalcy, til one or more than one of them are able to fly the coop, where I predict they will run amok and become Asian-looking Danny Bonaduces. Over? The only thing I'm happy about is that something was officially announced - but that does not mean that I think this mess is over.

Yes, TLC stopped shooting J&K+8 thanks to Jon's epiphany but there is no doubt in my mind that they are waiting to see what happens in the two court systems - the family law court in Pennyslvania and the case in Maryland.

If Kate somehow gets full custody and/or permission to film the kids in the divorce case, you better believe that TLC will bring back the cameras and start to shoot K+8. This is why I hope and pray that the PA family law judge saw the news coverage re the Balloon Boy saga and has a clue how far parents will go for a reality TV show - if he saw how the Balloon boy was vomiting during 2 interviews due to fear of his parent(s) who wanted a show, he may wonder just how things are in the Gosselin home too.

Now in Maryland, after the depositions I think there is still a chance that Jon will settle his case by allowing his children to be filmed even though he has filed a counter claim for $5 million. What will ultimately happen in Maryland will depend on what comes out in discovery. Again, too early to tell and start to celebrate.

But hey, that does not mean that I have given up hope on the State of PA pulling the plug permanently either. Their budget is now in place so I think they will come forward due to the permit issues, and once the information in these lawsuits through discovery prove that the kids were in fact working, things could get really interesting for Jon, Kate and TLC.

So is this madness over? I'm not so sure. What I do know is that TODAY the Gosselins kids are off TV except for reruns, and this is a good thing. JMO.

Do you think J&K will try to collect unemployment?

Goodbye Kate said...

The party officially ended for me when "Kate or TLC (neither knows how to except responsibility)" kicked key people out of the 8 kids lives.

When Jodi and Beth were no longer around, I started to question things. Like what was Kate's motivation. If it was to benefit her children, her kids need aunties. Also, those women had volunteered out of the kindness of their heart.

In the instances with Jodi/Beth and Jon the issue was money. Kate wants to keep all the money "she" thinks she is making solely on her own. She doesn't think other people should benefit besides herself. Not even her own husband. Will she give any of the kids money? No, they already had college funds given to them. Kate is pretending that she put money away for them.

The sad thing is, Kate has been lying for so long that she believes the lies coming out of mouth to be the truth. You know if you tell yourself something enough, you believe it. She thinks she is the victim.

HELLO, she lies awake at night crying and alone because she kicked everyone out of the kids lives because she wanted all the money for herself!!!!!!

No, I'm not jealous because I have no problem with other shows. I actually really liked seeing the 8 kids grow up. I was totally invested in their lives.

I just hope when they grow up they run to Uncle Kevin/Aunt Jodi and run away from Kate.

Sail Away said...

Recall that despite his claimed 'epiphany', Jon worked in a subtle caveat in his new stand against filming the kids. He said something along the lines of "it's not good for the kids to be filming DURING the divorce", so won't surprise me at all if, given the chance, Jon has yet another 'epiphany'somewhere down the road by deciding that the kids have sufficiently healed and 'want' to be filmed again.

Nothing these two scam artists do would surprise me anymore.

Except willingly disappear into anonymity.

So its over, good. IMO if TLC plans to develop a show for Kate, good for them. The general public consider Kate to be a joke (people are laughing at her now), uneducated, can only talk about herself, has no discernable talent other than birthing babies, she's a narcissist (sp?). If TLC wants to throw their money promoting a show for Kate, let them. Its like throwing money down a well. I wonder what the TLC shareholders and advertisers will think of that?

my9cats said...

Just curious. Has there been any comments as to whether the tups speech is improving now that they are in school with other kids 3 days a week. Or their behavior?

IMO probably the greatest harm those two dolts have done to their kids is to neglect their poor speech patterns and their out-of-control wildness.

This has nothing to do with being preemies, and everything to do with parental negligence.

"Do you think J&K will try to collect unemployment?"

----------------------

In order to qualify for umemployment, one has to have worked. If they admit to having been employed, that would mean that the children also were employed. They are claiming the show was a documentary, therefore no working permits were needed. If they were to file for unemployment the state of PA would be all over them, especially in view of the recent Child Labor Laws investigations.

My prediction for Kate's show: an American version of the English "Perfect Housewife". It will be cancelled after Kate unleashes a tirade of verbal abuse upon the hapless contestants.

After that, I can see her going into her own Christian ministry where she can combine her love of travel with her love of telling other people what to do.

I believe the kids DID cry, but in a typical, 5 yr old whiny way...kind of stomping/kicking your foot. But in true Khate dramatic fashion, it's not worth speaking unless you embelish.
Just like "we were all sitting watching tv and Alexis asked me about the ring" Either she knows what she's saying is a down right lie, OR she's soooo delusional she thinks her version IS the truth.

I think TLC is coddling & humoring Kate for the time being while the lawsuit / countersuit is going on. Think about it for a minute: As long as they keep Kate happy (by telling her she'll get her own show) she doesn't join in the lawsuit with Jon against TLC. Right now TLC has them divided, and they want to keep it that way.

If Jon & Kate unite against TLC (with claims that they violated child labor laws, etc.) it could be very very ugly for TLC.

Best to keep Kate happy, even if it means spending a little bit of money and bs'ing her to do so.

Re: Jon and money.

My understanding is that Jon would continue to get paid for doing nothing whether he was on the show or not, and that he knew he would stop getting paid when he denied filming of the children. I don't think it was a money thing at all with him. I think his biggest concern was if he is out of the picture he is not going to know what is going on behind the scenes with the filming, as he knows first hand how brutal it can be. Nobody ever bought Kate's oh they are just being filmed playing lie. I think that was why TLC wanted to get rid of him because he was calling them out on some of their indiscretions when it came to filming the children
