The fact that the new show is about "going green" is so silly. Still trying to convince people that they are something that they're not. I really really want this to be the end of the show.

jonandkatewho? said...

Me too. I'm so sick of them presenting one thing to the world and living another. Can't people see it? It just blows my mind!

The complete and total irony of her cookbook "Love is in the Mix"...or whatever it is... can't people see that "loving" is the last word anybody could ever apply to Kate?

Makes me want to retch! Sure, they'll go green for one episode. Lessee, that's about $65K right?

Noooo proooblem!

Going green, eh? Does that mean she's going to stop using tons of disposable everything? (Yeah, I can dig that a family that large generates a lot of dishes, but they DO have a dishwasher...)

The one-hour special about going green will be followed by a two-hour special about going orange. At least this is a subject about which Kate is knowledgeable.

HBailey said...

I know I've heard them say more than once that at the end of every season they take a 'family vote' to determine if they are going to continue filming. They've said they will stop if there is not a unanimous decision to go foward.

Guess they've abandonded that idea.

I know a couple who are exactly like them...she's very controlling and demanding...he's very passive. What's interesting is he has the same reaction to his children that Jon has...very impatient with them and easily frustrated with them. It's like he takes his frustration out on them because he CAN with them....he can't with his wife. It's very sad. Jon commented after the Toys R Us scene she made that she looks 'horrible' when she acts that way and he's so right. She has no idea how awful she looks when she treats her husband that way. My husband (thankfully) has the good sense to call me out when I'm making a complete fool of myself.

I used to love this show, but once I saw the video of Aunt Jodi confirming what everyone had suspected, I was done. The last straw really for me was the recent episode when she berated Jon for interupting her on the couch and Jon coward down like a child. It was sickening to watch.

I hope they stop the show, stop all the 'publicity' (books, public speaking, etc.) and try and go back to a more 'normal' life. She's a nurse and he's employable...ALL of the kids will be in school this Fall so they both can get normal jobs and make a decent living. I don't think this will happen because I think Kate is too far gone...I think she's too wrapped up in the money and publicity.

I do think it's a shame.

If there's one thing that can be said about KON, it's that their PR/hype machine is remarkably effective. Even EW is speculating as to the future of the show?

Also, the claim that Jon is concerned about his privacy is the biggest bunch of BS that I've heard come out of either of their mouths. Considering the nonsense they spew on a regular basis, that's saying a lot. No "celebrity" (I use that term loosely) concerned about privacy goes to Mr. Chow or The Ivy. You know how many restaurants they could have gone to that aren't staked out by the paparazzi? Come on.

These 2 clowns aren't going anywhere soon. In fact I think Kate is writing a new book: The New American Dream: How to Be Lazy and Freeload Your Way To Fame and Fortune. There's a reason the sheeple love them so much. It gives the sheeple hope that one day they might get rich without having to actually work for it either. Isn't that what drives all the "you're just jealous" comments? The idea that anyone critical of KON would actually want to be living their life? No thanks.

Going Green? Didn't Sara Snow already teach them how to do some of that stuff? Also, I recall an old episode where they were talking about pancake Saturday and on the screen it showed all the crap it took, one thing was 20 paper plates because they had to double up. Here's a hint, buy some real plates and use 1 plate per person and wash them with the lovely organic cleaner that Sara taught you to make Kate.

They are just never going to go away. They gave their faithful fans heart palpitations Monday night questioning if there will be a Season 5 and it was all for nothing. They have a bunch of episodes "banked." They taped the 100th episode w/Emeril just March 11th.

With their logic, they can keep filming/airing new episodes but it's not Season 5 unless they say so. Two years from now and another 100 episodes later they could still be saying, "Oh we just don't know if we'll do Season 5."

Their fans just want new episodes and that's what they'll be getting in April and this summer. Season shmeason, a new episode is a new episode. Forget about children's rights, what about these poor orphaned episodes without a season to call their own. If an episode airs without a season does it make a sound?

Most definitely J & K will be back for a 5th season, however, as predictable as J & K + 8 has consistently come to be, the episodes that actually do make it to air will be those that are the most self serving to Kate's 'career'. Obviously this reality show has nothing to do with the 'struggles of raising two sets of multiples' but episode after episode of producing and marketing an 'image' or illusion of said 'image' that will ultimately be to Kate Gosselin's advantage. Thus , Kate's apparant willingness, per the season finale, to proceed with the reality show despite the negative impact it has had on her husband and their marriage.

I don't buy the 'she has too many dishes so she has to use paper plates' explaination. With the money they have, they should buy an industrial dishwasher. And dishwashers now a days are very economical, they use alot less water than they use to. And water can be recycled unlike stuff that ends up in the landfill.

JShine said...

I'm still mad about this. I'm not the greenest person in the world, and I will admit that. I really admire people that do everything that they can green, because I know that it's hard. (Our biggest problem is the amount of garbage we are producing a week) But again we are trying, but how can this family, keep claiming to be one way, and then show footage that is completely contradicting themselves. They don't care. It's so tiring to me.

Truth be told, I think the show is so popular because of people like us who just can't stop watching. Hey, I need someone to talk about. I watch because it amazes me how horrible that woman is. I watch to see if Jonnie will ever grow a set. I watch because it gives me an excuse to use really foul language.

I saw the video on TMZ and peed my pants at the title. Jon & Kate just ATE roflmao. Here they are coming out of a really expensive restaurant.....really?? Wasnt it just yesterday you told us of rooting in the couch for change to eat?

The green episode is gonna make me laugh. They bragged one episode of how many paper plates they go through. Oh, now they are green after how many millions of diapers they just used on the pack? My popcorn is already popping just waiting for April LOL.

I guess Kate is just lazy. It takes ten plates for a meal for this family. Oh wait, it takes only 8 for them as you rarely see Jon eat and never see Kate eating with the family. I think she just munches on carrot sticks and celery all day. Hey! Maybe that's why she's so orange??? That's it, the carotene!

I have an ordinary older dishwasher in the home I rent. I am pretty damn sure it will hold 10 plates. I only do dishes once a week or so because it's just me, and no I don't have 8 kids. I try to conserve water this way as well as not run up my electric and heat bills.

You could fit the plates and the silverware for 10 people in one dishwasher, it's really not a big deal. I'll bet what she is trying to avoid is washing off the dishes and loading the washer, and putting away the dishes after they are washed. But doesn't she have all kinds of help around the house? Even if she doesn't, she has somebody to watch those kids so it wouldn't be a problem for her to run dishes through the washer two or three times a day, even. These people must spend a small fortune on paper plates. I've never seen anything like it.

With a family that size all those paper plates and other goodies hitting the trash make an impact.

Kate is just L-A-Z-Y, folks. She wants nothing to do with any kind of housework. I think she's close to living out her dream. Spa and shopping days, lots of sleep, speaking for lots of $$$, and public appearances on all kinds of talk shows.

She won't be bothered to go green for more than an episode. She doesn't do anything that doesn't benefit her in some way.

Going green?? Hahahahahahah! They live in a large, large home with that huge vehicle and they fly and take limos "hither, tither, and yon." Paper plates, plastic cups and useless tractor rides also are not exactly environmentally friendly. They have two new sets of washers and dryers to replace the (almost new) sets they left at their old house--they also got a new (big) refrigerator and a better automatic dishwasher. OK-- I understand that some of the things they have may be needed for such a large family, but "going green" they are not. The only "green" J&K care about is the almighty dollar. What a joke.

I'm from the deep South and in the "old" days people like my grandmother and aunts use to call people "green." It was an insult. It meant they were ignorant. I can well remember my grandmother saying, "ignore her, she's as green as grass." Those sayings immediately came to mind when I read about them "going green." I'd say based on those old sayings, Jon and Kate have been green since day one.

Going Green.....please give us a break! We know that is yet another fabrication in total conflict with how the Gosselins' really live.

On another note: When will the supporting viewers wake-up and see what Kate is really about? She is a mean person who is motivated solely by greed. It takes no effort at all to see that she thrives on hurting others, whether it be family, past friends or any other association she is in contact with.

She does & says things with the intent to hurt and humilate others. I am still reeling from seeing her cleaning out the previous owners frig, and then telling the camera crew to get a shot of what was under the freezer, citing it a fire hazard. Why do this? How must those people have felt? Kate knew the previous owners would be horrified & embarassed and that is exactly why she did and said those mean things.

Her hateful pattern has repeated itself over & over on the show. Remember when she held the "garage sale" at a church? She never quit belittling the efforts of people involved with that project. Jon gets the same abusive treatment from Kate day after day, and I am guessing someday he will finally say.....enough & leave her.

She seems to be very lazy in accomplishing any real work, even when it involves her kids. But that woman is a pro at giving out her nasty directives & stinging insults.

jrchaffee89 said...

I don't understand whats so hard about washing up eight plates and cups. She could get nice plastic ones and have the kids take turns washing them. I'm sure they would love that. They are old enough to stand on a step stool and at least 'help' wash up. But she can't be bothered with kids in HER kitchen and actually teach them anything.

Green? My Aunt Fanny! said...

Like everyone else here, I get so frustrated when I see Kate using paper plates for nearly every meal and snack. And I don't but the crappola that with that many kids to feed, it would make too many dishes. Most standard dishwashers can handle ten plates, ten cups, and assorted utinsels with no problem.

Or if you really want to conserve energy, you could actually handwash those same dishes. Double sink, one with hot sudsy water, the other with hot plain water, and a dish drain to the side. Simple as pie.

I grew up in a family of 8 kids and we never had a non-human dishwasher. That meant every evening, someone sat the table, another child cleared the table when the meal was done (smaller ones had assistance from older ones or mom), and two more children did the dishes (one to wash, one to dry). The pots and pans were done by an older child or my mom.

I cringe when I see this sort of waste, realizing it occurs on a daily basis in that home. With all of Kate's supposedly great organizing skills, why can't she manage to figure out to a) buy a set of inexpensive but attractive plastic dishes for everyday use; b) have the children take turns each night to gather the dirty plates, rinse them and place them in the bottom tray of the dishwasher, and c) remove them the next morning for use for that day. Have two or three sets, if it makes it easier!

I was sorry to hear that J&K+8 is such a big ratings pull for TLC. I can only hope that it goes the way that "Trading Places" did years ago. I loved that show, but then they kept changing it around and people eventually lost interest. Let's hope viewers will do the same (soon) for J&K+8.

This whole thing is all a publicity stunt. It's becoming so obvious now. Jon and the college girls, the rumors of divorce, the rumors of no season 5... all fake! Obviously TLC is trying to get ratings for the new season 5 so they most likely started all these rumors... or maybe it was Kate herself! After all, more viewers = more $$$!

Where I'm from, I can think of at least 3 or 4 families (in which the 'kids' are now in their 30s,40s,50s etc-roughly my parents age) who had 16 or 17 children each. Back in the 1940s and 1950s when these families were having their children, there were no dishwashers. Everything was done by hand. Older children helped and if they didn't, it didn't get done. What would be the big huge deal with letting the twins help with the dishes? Aren't they almost nine? My own mother made me help dry the dishes when I was their age, and she had two of us. I'm not a huge fan of the Duggars, but at least their children help out around the house.

In terms of the paper plates, I think it's appaling. This woman has the latest and greatest in appliances, and she's STILL using paper plates? And instead of giving the kids each their own yogurt, why not use one large container? It would also eliminate the kids fighting over the flavours.

Going green isn't exactly cheap...green products are typically a little more expensive than regular products(like the cleaning supplies). I'm expecting, and was looking at trying to use cloth diapers for my baby, but cloth diapers are really very expensive to get started with. We don't have a whole lot of money, but we try our best. Kate Gosselin has all KINDS of spare cash floating around (even though she'd deny otherwise) and she can actually afford to go green and maintain the lifestyle. But she'll do it for one episode, convince her loyal followers that she's a saint for doing so, but in reality the hold notion of 'going green' will end up among the ranks of the kids special days, the twins music lessons and Bob, Beth and Jodi.

Sorry if this is long-winded and rambling :)

Does Kate seem embarassed by all the negative publicity? Does she seem at all concerned that others, even family members and neighbors, might think they are pulling a terrific con and are total grifters? Does it look like she is trying to hide how much money they have made without an education, talent or effort?

No, she doesn't care, they don't care. Typical of a narcissitic personality, it simply does not enter her mind that what ANYONE else thinks matters in the least. At least SHE, and maybe Jon, have no clue and they don't want to have a clue. If they aren't bleeding, then no one is bleeding. If it doesn't hurt Kate, it doesn't hurt. That is how they live their lives. And to their kids' deteriment.

I wrote to everyone I could find who supports this show and, although I don't watch it anymore for obvious reasons, I still follow the bizarre twists and turns of their PR machine. This cookbook (gag me with some organic fluff) and going green, why is it so obvious to us that it is all Barnum & Bailey and not to the rest of the world? Why the hell would anyone buy her cookbook when we've seen the little bits of crap she feeds her kids every day?

My head hurts. Can't a petition to send Kate Gosselin to the moon by herself be sent to our new Pres? It would lighten the mood of the country.

At my child care facility we have approx. 50 people (children and staff) for lunch everyday. We use real "stuff", including 6 tupperware serving dishes with lids, and can fit most of it in one load of our regular size dishwasher.

So if they have enough (free) dishes to serve 3 meals a day on real plates, they still won't reach what we do in one meal.

Interesting! I believe the two of them are in cahoots to EVERYTHING publicity wise that comes out.

If Jon had actually been doing beer bongs with college students, someone would have been smart enough to take a cell phone photo to make some money... Don't worry, we on GWoP will have plenty to bitch about for Season 5.

Do NOT give EM Tanner any business. Last year, one of the posters here wrote her about contributing to the exploitation of the Gosselins. She responded with an extremely NASTY letter- definitely not one that was "customer service oriented" at all.

Same for that Pastor Craig Yoshihara at the Roswell, GA church. He responded with a VERY NASTY response to a poster who expressed disappointment over sponsoring the Greedy G's.

I never did understand why they dont use the dishwasher. She even complained that the old one (in the new house) wasnt washing "up to her standards". I recall in an episode from the old house where it looked like she was using the dishwasher to wash big bulky items like pans and stuff. I use mine for the opposite. I hand wash pans and odd shaped items that I may use again that day. I can fit all of my 12 dinner plates and salad plates and soup/cereal bowls plus all the cups, glasses and silverware into one load. I dont have the top model like hers either! She could do 1 load per day and save alot in the landfills if she wasnt so lazy!

Going green takes some effort. I also noticed that since they wont be having studio lights installed in the new house, why dont they install some florescent bulbs? We have replaced all of ours in our house and I have not proclaimed to be going GREEN! Our bills are half now with all the changes. Not only do you save money, but you dont have to replace the new bulbs for 10 yrs, thus saving more in the landfills. Plus they are alot BRIGHTER!

Wait, they dont care about their electric bills because TLC must cover those now. Oh I see....when you dont pay for anything, you dont care. Going green is just as they have stated above, green for CASH.

I have an example that proves Kate is a selfish narcissist: the Toys Are Us episode when she screams at Jon to the point of embarassing him so much he ran out to the van. When confronted about that by him, she basically said that she didnt care, because she "doesnt notice others around her" GUILTY!

I can't believe that people would think that J&K are not genuine. They have sooo much stress in their lives with 8 children they're raising. And Kate deserves all the Oompa Loompa Spa treatments she can get. The poor woman is exhausted!! And the fact that they want to go green shows how genuine they are about the environment. They care, they really, really do.

April fools LOL.

Okay if they are truly going green then maybe Kate could stop using that environmentally unfriendly spray on tan, doesn't that stuff deplete the ozone??

And Jon, he is going green from all the partying he's been doing lately with co-eds, from being hung over.

Like these two ever really cared about anything but the green in the dollar bill.

Anonymomma said...

I have to laugh about the whole "going green" thing with these two. Haven't most of us been doing 'green' things during the past few years? This isn't a newfound sensation sweeping the nation. Well, maybe to them it is. Considering they've ben known to pass around copies of the electric bill account to neighbors, friends, and relatives in hopes that someone will pay it for them.

I don't know about the rest of you but, considering that I'm not even close to being a big eco-friendly type person, just on a daily basis I unplug electronics not in use (like the hairdryer, certain lamps that I don't use a lot, the toaster. etc.), use florescent bulbs, and bring canvas bags (or even reuse plastic bags) at the grocery store. If I have to take the baby to the doctor, I schedule my eye appointment the same day and do that along with the weekly grocery shopping and a few other errands in one shot to save on gas. Plus it saves me a lot of time rather than having to do it all seperately later.

I guess when you don't even see the bills it's easy to ignore being 'green'.

Someone on here said they had solar panels installed recently? Are you sure it wasn't more of that insane industrial lighting? Or even possibly a heater for the pool? They have a solar type heater that you place on your roof and siphon the pool water continuously up through it to warm it, then back down into the pool. Just wondering. It's not exactly in K8's nature to spring for something like solar panels unless of course someone else is buying and they come from somewhere like Ann Taylor Loft.

How Not To Protect The Environment:

1. Purposefully get knocked up with sextuplets.

2. Drive a diesel fueled, 15 passenger Dodge Sprinter (especialy on days where you only have to take two kids to the eye doctor!)

3. Fly across the country for dinner at a restaurant three thousand miles away.

4. Use doubled up paper plates every day while feeding your family of ten plus staff and production crew.

5. Drive across town to throw your cardboard in a dumpster because not only does your garbage man not take it, but you are too damn lazy to get off your ass and recycle it.

6. Run a deep freezer and 3 refridgerators simultaneously.

7. Install industrial lighting all throughout your house.

8. Even though you have 20+ acres of property around your house, refuse to hang clothes or even a clothes line for that matter but instead, resort to running two industrial sized dryers all afternoon for laundry from ten people.

9. Spray tans = aerosol = ozone damage.

10. Take your family of ten on outtings where you demand that entire buildings be 'closed to the public' so your group can experience your memories my yourselves. Never mind the cost it takes to run said buildings at these events, have them do it for you. You deserve it!

11. (And my all time personal favorite) Continue to re-experience the same episodes of your 'reality' show (i.e. the dentist episode). Never mind the carbon footprint the production crew left the first time, wasn't big enough! Do it again!

While reading your comment it occurred to me that Jon and Kate's privacy had never ever been invaded. We have never seen any of their poops or pees. And no camera has captures Jon's butt crack. It is shameful what they have allowed to be filmed as lasting legacy for their eight children.

And to think all it took for Kate to cut relations with her parents was mismatched baby cribs.

What happened to those cute personalized Em Tanner plates she had a while back?

She must not be getting anymore freebies from Em.

Seriously, those babies are nearly $25 each. $25 for a personalized plate. Yikes.

--------------------------

Do NOT give EM Tanner any business. Last year, one of the posters here wrote her about contributing to the exploitation of the Gosselins. She responded with an extremely NASTY letter- definitely not one that was "customer service oriented" at all.

Same for that Pastor Craig Yoshihara at the Roswell, GA church. He responded with a VERY NASTY response to a poster who expressed disappointment over sponsoring the Greedy G's.

Hmmmm...wonder what Em and Craig have to say now. Publicly aware people that they are MUST know what those two Christian icons have been doing. Ya think their feeling a little green around the gills?

I used to DVR this show, but have stopped watching it completely. When the kids were young it was about their day to day lives. Now it is an ongoing commercial for hotels, magazines, amusement parks, etc., who pay them to visit. It makes me sick. Plus Kate is a (rhymes with witch). I don't see how Jon puts up with her constant put downs.

I know I've heard them say more than once that at the end of every season they take a 'family vote' to determine if they are going to continue filming. They've said they will stop if there is not a unanimous decision to go foward.

Guess they've abandonded that idea.

I'm sure they do put it to a vote. I can hear Kate now. "Ok children...and that includes you Jon...all those in favor of ending the show, thereby angering God for defying His will, so he takes away our house and all our toys and makes us live out on the street with no food or shelter from the cold and rain; and making Mommy and the other nine hate them forever, say 'nay'. All those in favor of doing another season, say 'aye'."

"Just wondering. It's not exactly in K8's nature to spring for something like solar panels unless of course someone else is buying"

Mark my words. If in fact the Gosselin home has been installed with SOLAR panels, the J & K + 8 'Going Green' episode will be dedicated to the installation of said panels and and hour long of in your face product placement thus the Greedy Gosselin family having paid zero out of pocket for the product/materials as well as, labor/installation.

Um...really??! said...

Going green??? really?...rather watch paint dry. Not only because it'll be equally boring, but...what a load of crock! LOL I'm no "green person" myself...(what does an average 20 yr old know anyway, right?)but I do know that green is one color Ms. Katie is not....she should just stick to the orange. I found that more entertaining to watch....

Maybe they'll show us their new flat screen (energy star rated) that they replaced their tube tv with, and we'll be treated to the solar panel installation of course! Maybe all Kate's new appliances are energy star and they'll change out all their lightbulbs to the pigtail ones. And plug Clorox's new line of "natural cleaners". How dull, anyone can and probably has made those changes if they were going to (save the solar panels - until they make them more efficient and realistic to install on your average-sized home!). Gosselin-brand reusable shopping bags anyone?

See Jon and Kate Go Green... with envy!

Why can't Jon act foolish in public without thinking? Lindsay Lohen and Amy Winehouse don't have to think about twins and sextuplets. They don't even have them! It's so hard to be Jon.

And does Queen Elizabeth II have to personally manage nannies, housekeepers, drivers, and chefs? It's so hard not to have a butler. Oh she's so exhausted!

Oh how they envy the olden days when you could just put unwanted people in the poorhouse or asylum.

The KON FU G's should really end this show for the sake of their marriage and their kids. Obviously, no true heart felt love for neither REALLY exists!

I read this suggestion in a mag awhile back and we use it and love it. Buy each family member a set of dishes ( plate, cup & bowl) in a different color. After each meal that family member rinses their dishes and puts in dish washer. I run it and if anyone was too lazy to bother they have to hand wash to get their meal. We started this when the youngest was 3 so the tups should be able to comply. It would teach them to do some things for themselves too.
Also, cut the fun (dangerous) tractor rides, use vinegar or other natural cleansers ( very easy to make), buy food in family packs not individual servings, and most of all, cut out the hairspray and gels needed to resemble a peacock/porcupine mix. Think those hair products are organic LOL?
We have also gardened for years ( using seaweed as fertilizer and starting our own seeds for true organic veggies!). We know Kate won't do that because gardens require dirt. How horrendously horrendous. My kids have gotten great benefits from gardening with me!

Anonymomma, you hit the nail right on the head with your post. "Going Green" is something that trendy people say and do. It's a fad, like low-carb diets or sticking American flags in every orifice following 9/11.

There are those of us (and we aren't even Canadian!) who walk the walk, not just talk the talk when it comes to the environment. We don't do it because it's trendy. We do it because it is the right thing to do.

It's an attitude that goes with the actions.

I'm glad you brought up the sextuplets first, because I will concur: someone who is concerned about Mother Earth would not have willingly and knowingly contributed to Her overpopulation for any reason, the very least of which being the maximum number of freebies that could be received.

Then again, I guess even the bare minimum of effort to "go green" will help somewhat...and I guarantee that it's that bare minimum we will get from Jon and Kate Gosselin.

Narcissism Please said...

'going green' .. and i refuse to use capital letters, on account of my lack of enthusiasm ..
is going to be their episode with emeril.
it has already been shared .. a number of times .. that this episode has already been shot.
[emeril's twitter thread was even linked..]

it has also been shared that emeril does a show for a "green" network.

.....
so they weave a 'cookbook-goes-green-new-j&k+8-web' .. and everything "MAKES SENSE."

Kate Gosselin Shares Some "Secrets"

How do you make ends meet, especially in these economic times?

"We're doing the same things we have always done: Clipping coupons; watching for sales; stocking up when things are on sale and planning meals (and other purchases) according to sale flyers."

Why did you want to write a second book?

"The same reason I wanted to write a first book--for my kids! Also, I can't describe how wonderful it feels to be an accomplished bestselling author. Who would have thought?"

Going Green:

Plug for solar panels (that were provided free) for them. I hope it's not from the company that employees my husband...(they are closing up in a year)

Low flow toilets. (free)

Low flow showers. (free)

She will be provided (really cool) cloth bags that probably would cost us $20 each...(not the freebies or $1 from the local market)

You will not see her bathroom b/c she probably has a huge tub (wastes way more water than a shower) and a shower with lots of jets.

Programmable (plug) thermostat.

What I WANT to see in a green special is:
composting, clothes lines, use of baking soda, vinegar, lemons in cleaning, aluminum water bottles, reusing old torn clothes to make bags, using patches on torn jeans, reusing glass containers to store food.

Nahhh we aren't going to see the latter.

Maybe he should be asked how much his church made off of this appearance and if they got a percentage of the book sales (Barnes and Nobles provided the books). Exploitation is exploitation, and the Gosselin kids are getting it from their parents and all of the other people and companies making money off of them.

AARRGGHH!!!

FROM THE "BABBLE" INTERVIEW THAT BABYGIRLHK11 MENTIONED ABOVE:

"Do your kids have sense that other kids don't get followed around by cameras?"
"No. Little kids at this age, their normal is normal. I'm sure they assume that ever child at school has cameras following them. They'll figure it out later and be like 'Oh, alright. Cool.' "

No. It's. Not.
No. They. Don't.
No. They. Won't.

Read the comments below the EW article posted. There are some being made by a woman that is signing off as Aunt Jodi (Don't know if it is actually her or not) but this is one of her comments:

"It's funny for me to see so many people rushing to the defense of Kate.

Things you may not have known:

- Kevin and I are no longer allowed to see the kids ever since Kate had me kicked off the show. She's decided to get her free childcare elsewhere, and now has no use for us.

- Notice how Beth is no longer on the show? She wrote most of Kate's book, but Kate kicked her to the curb when Beth wanted her share of the money. Kate no longer has any use for her own supposed "best friend".

- Kate has nothing to do with her side of the family anymore.

- Jon & Kate aren't much different than Octo-mom, in that they both had quantities of children that they couldn't afford, and then relied on the exploiting of their situations to pay the bills.

- Jon lives in an apartment over top the garage of the new house; he and Kate haven't shared a marital bed in months.

- Kate actually told my husband that TLC had approached them about adopting another set of twins once the existing kids outgrow their cuteness.

- Both Jon & Kate continue to accept "love offerings" from churches despite being financially set."

Like I said, I don't know if it is actually her but interesting comments nonetheless.

Just wondering... has anyone else thought that because the tups were premature and that they are behind in skills, that they may choose to hold them back from kindergarten? then they would have another season where the tups would be around for taping. Can't you hear Kate speaking about the tups having prematurish levels? and Jon responding in his usual mumbling?

---------------------------------

I don't think the state allows this. My twins were preemie and had early intervention since the age of 3. At 5, and upon registering for kindergarten (pre k isn't mandatory in PA) they were tested in areas such as if the knew how to properly hold a pencil, identify colors, etc. so that the school could be more prepared.

But I do see K8 blaming any lacking skills on being preemie. While some can be chalked up to that, a lot can't by 5. Such as Aaden not being able to identify his own name, or spell it.

I know it was reported somewhere that Easter Seals came in and gave two of the tups physical therapy in the first year. I wonder though, why Kate didn't continue with early intervention. Preemies, especially born as young as they were, are highly encouraged to participate in these programs for a reason. Why wait until they are behind to try and fix a problem?

What's their definition of "going green"?? Because I surely don't count driving a Hummer as being environmentally friendly.
