Wow, they can actually touch things like normal children? And Mom is going to allow it?

THIS is the big "it's all been building up to this?"

If you couldn't touch a thing it would be a VERY boring place. Hopefully the renovations have made it less boring than when I was a kid.

organizedblogroll said...

Is this almost over yet??

OR is it just a break in filming so Katie Irene can do two more book tours and hopefully those going through KON WITHDRAWL can buy their
DVD's of the first few seasons, to tide them over?

M Kate said...

Feel good fun for the entire family? Not from what the previews suggest. More like "Let's sit as far apart from each other on the couch" fun for Jon and Kate. Those two couldn't look like they hate each other any more than they do on this upcoming episode.

Love 'Em & Hate 'Em said...

I can't wait to see another place closed down to the public so they can be given a personal tour. Gosh forbid the cameras show how the 6 kids are totally incapable of interacting with other children but their siblings.

It should be interesting to see if Jon is in both of these. Does anyone know because they were shot in February when he was supposed to be at his ski condo in Utah.

This is probably going to be one big placement ad for hand sanitizing gel...

No, that was the Hands on House

Did they close down the Please touch museum for them? Seriously whenever we went there it was packed and the kids had to "gasp" wait their turn.

No, that was a smaller place in Lancaster County.

No they did not close down the museum for the Gosselins. I read not sure which site that this blogger was there with her kids while they were filming but were kept away from the Gosselins.

I wonder if it's the science museum in Queens, NY. They did come visit NY & there is a hands-on museum around here.

How is Kate going to deal with this? A Place infected with germs. Did they lysol/clorox the place down before the gosselins come in? Hopefully so Kate doesnt have a fit.

Well even with the "tempting" commercials I wont be watching. I am about a month and a half in of not watching J&K and honestly at this point I don't miss anything. The recaps here are great and any Gosselin info can be found here.

And after this episode will be the premiere of "Twelve at the Table". I just hope the Hayes family doesn't get greedy like the Gosselins.....

I will not be watching the trainwreck tonight - I would rather read about it here tomorrow. If you must see it, TLC is showing the whole hour-long "Season Finale" on Saturday night, March 28, at 9:00. Do not add to their ratings tonight!

Lala said...

I didn't realize these two epsiodes were still going to air. I thought from the previews that they decided to do a different format for the season finale discussing their "difficulties". I guess I don't understand how that will be incorporated into the museum and globetrotter episodes. That makes me think the previews are all hype about nothing....and it's just going to be these two episodes as originally planned.

Pleasant Viewer said...

I am looking forward to the two new episodes. I like the Gosselins.

pinkdiamond611 said...

At least this is an appropriate place to take four year olds. A day trip where they can learn something. Wow.

Addison said...

Are the twins going on this family outing too? I bet they'd be bored to tears (probably literally) at a place like this. Hopefully this one was filmed when they were at school...

DirtyDisher said...

If they're going somewhere "special" again, I'm not watching either. I hate their stupid trips. It's so boring.

Penelope said...

I am a busy mom of two. I take these trips of the Gosselins and am storing them in my head for summertime when my kids and I are off.

I like to see the positive side of things and if that's what the Gosselins do, I'd might as welll make it work for me. I also like watching the kids and my daugters do, too.

I have two kids myself (3yr old & 2yr old). This is my one benefit to watching the Gosselins and living in PA and not far from where the Gosselins are - getting cool ideas for where to take my kids in PA - Crayola, Dutch Wonderland, Hershey, Sesame, etc. I haven't tried any of these places yet since my kids were too young before, but I may hit Crayola or Sesame this summer. Of course when I go to Crayola, I won't be dressing my kids in outfits that MUST stay clean. They will get the full experience for sure! :-)

They've already gotten greedy by exploiting their children. There are no degrees of child exploitation. If you sign up to do a "reality" series about your family you are being greedy and exploitative. Period.

Fantastic site! I commend the people who founded this blog. I've been a viewer of the show for about a year. The rate at which it has gone downhill is shocking & quite upsetting to watch. Kate has become a monster. It was obvious from the start that she had issues with control, greed and seemed incapable of showing or even feeling any human compassion for Jon and the kids.

Her supposed OCD tendancies have left life-long marks on her children as has been evident in many of the shows. It is disturbing to watch her boys become upset when they get dirty. Even a walk in the woods was too much for them to handle.

It is almost embarrassing to watch her demean & ridicule Jon during their interviews in the chair, and the beaten man cannot even get a word in edgewise. I loathe Kate Gosselin and lately have seen Jon handle things in a less than acceptable manner as well. What a mess!

Jackie said...

"It's all been leading up to this" will probably be nothing more than Jon feeling jealous of Kate's "career" and being overwhelmed home alone with all the kids.

Jon's already admitted it to a magazine, and even in tonight's commercial Jon says something about hard work on his end while Kate twirls her earring and just looks at him in boredom.

Honestly, TLC wouldn't squeeze in a marital breakdown in between Globe Trotters and a kid's museum! Don't you think they'd milk THAT for all it was worth?

Plus their first two episodes involve Betty getting a spa treatment (likely paid for by TLC) and a free trip to the aquarium.

Btw, I meant to say the whole family is getting the free trip to the aquarium. Not just Betty. Lol.

I think the "its all been building to this" is just going to be a short part at the end of the show like a statement or something. I dont think it is going to be an actual show.

What J & K Gosselin conveniently left out during all their trips to these wonderful attractions in PA (and elsewhere) is the REALITY of the out of pocket expense involved ie, cost of travel (gas), admission fee, parking fee, cost of food and drink etc.
As I am sure most are well aware, the out of pocket expense for the Gosselin family to attend these attractions was a big fat ZERO!!

I haven't watched the show since they moved into the new mansion. I found myself getting knots in my stomache every time I watched...mostly when Kate was being nasty. Also, when I found out about how she treated Jodi and Kevin...well, I just couldn't 'support' them any more by watching.

I had no trouble stopping...man, I even change the channel now when commercials about them come on!

It bugs the HECK out of me to see that TLC is using the media reports about trouble in paradise (in the marriage) to get people to watch the show. Is NOTHING beneath them to 'sell' these people?!

I have NO idea what the shows are about tonight, and I really could care less...but there's no way that I'll be watching. Thanks but no thanks, TLC.

jill said...

OMG! Really? An ENTIRE episode deicated to Kate's fashion/transformation? I can't stand her...

Also, could Jon look more nervous when he mentioned the trip to his mom's????

fozzybear said...

Oh my GOD! Jon actually spent a whole whopping fifty dollars to what...pay someone to move some furniture? Also I wonder if the dogs eat 'organic' dog food or is it the cheap stuff from the grocery store? Gotta wonder how long their marriage is going to hold up under all the strain. They haven't in my opinion seemed happy in quite awhile.

So she is blaming the CHAIR for their terrible body language! and frumpily clothes :-)

Also she can't do the pictures for Jon at home so she has to go somewhere outside the home . . . well I guess she doesn't have to do the clean up or pay the "helper" to do it.

Madeline said...

OMG--3 minutes into the show and I'm really annoyed. Did you see the art lady grab one of the tup's hands and not allow him to fingerpaint on HIS OWN painting? So much for original work.

Please let these children paint WHAT THEY WANT TO PAINT....

At this age, I remember watching my kids little stick drawings start go get all the parts - first a head and legs, then arms...then hands...

"I CHOSE...." bla bla.

When will someone step in and save these kids???

Madeline said...

She didn't even let them pick their own colors?!?! How terribly sad.

RealMom said...

I have been to the Please Touch Museum, Sesame Place, Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Park recently. I paid a lot of money for admission $50.00 per kid unless you take infants. I paid $75.00 per adult at Hershey and this price is whether you go on rides or not. Add food, travel, parking and don't forget the games and souvenirs once you get there. A very epensive day for a family of 4 so I can't imagine what you pay for 8 kids. PS. She started the show by saying Jon was away on a trip, then it was Jon was at his mom's for 8 days.

Reallity? TV said...

fozzybear said...

"If you get your shirt wet, you're going to have to ride home in them. Please Kate, its just water they won't melt. Let the kids have some fun with out always ruining for them.

4thekids said...

Kate: "doesn't take much to thrill me."

Funny, because I thought days-long spa retreats, first class travel, and vacations that you don't have to pay for are what thrills you. She is such a liar. Just like when she said the kids were going to paint because Jon was gone and they were going to make pictures for him. Turns out Jon saw the pics for the first time in the interview chair, and they're actually to decorate the house.

This woman only spews hatred and lies, and I hope Jon wins the battle and they don't do another season of this show EVER.

fozzybear said...

I wonder they put special organic groceries on the shelves just for Kate! "I'll have some egg plant please!" Running through Kate's mind (Only if it's organic egg plant.).

I own the green shirt she had on earlier. I like it but silly me I actually paid my own money for it.

Reallity? TV said...

Seriously? You can't threaten the kids with being cold and wet outside and then tell them it's ok when they inevitably get wet... that is just so unfair to them, as most things are.

Are they actually going to get to 'what its all come down to' or are thye going to show the same clip over and over. I'm assuming it will be after this break as the final 'cliffhanger'

Tehcymum said...

Dear Jon,
You have summed it up completely for your children. They can't just be "Insert Gosselin Child Name here", but they are "Jon & Kate plus 8".

They have no choice.

You two have taken away any choice they have.

Thank you for saying those words - because someday someone is going to figure out that if Kate doesnt like the lights, and Jon has lost his individuality, that this is bad for the children.

nikki said...

Ok, did anyone notice that Kate picked out the colors for the kids portraits? Did anyone also notice how freaked out she was getting at the mere thought that the kids would get paint on their clothing? Did anyone also notice how grumpy Maddy was during the Harlem Globtrotters game, and how Jon was too busy on his Blackberry than to pay attention to his own kids? Now that TLC is started that new series, Table for 12, I think Jon and Kates days are numbered. One last thing, did anyone notice how puffy Kate's eyes were during their last interview? I wonder if she really wanted to get into all those rumors that have been circulating about Jon? And whoever is doing her spray tanning should be shot! She used to be attractive and now she is just a mess. I can't wait for this show to be over and done with. Then they can focus on getting those kids the psychological help that they are going to need once the show is done!

Cheesy flashbacks to all of the places they've been able to go because of the show.

Kate loves it, Jon is frustrated. They "don't have any privacy at all." They "can never go back." They both insist "maybe they'll be back, maybe they won't." But we all know Kate is going to win, they're going to be doing a season 5. Yawn...

Kiss of death. He wants to end it (the show), and she doesn't. She totally disregards his feelings. She says that they can't go back, but they sure can. They can tell the camera crew to leave, end their contract, and just live their lives as quietly as possible. Honestly, I don't think she would care if they got divorced. She obviously doesn't need him, she just needs her cash cow kids. Wow. Didn't her whole demeanor just speak volumes? She would rather take the money over her husband. He came out and clearly said that he doesn't have his own identity anymore. How sad. She does treat him like the 9th child. Either the show ends or their marriage does. Does anyone want to place any bets as to what ends first?

jill said...

That was what it was all building up to. Nothing we didn't know already . . . all that matters is Hate being happy. Who gives a fig about the 8 children or Jon needs or wants.

Lets be serious, Jon and Kate, the only people getting my pity are the 8 innocent children you have chose to put in the public spotlight.

Dh had to watch tonight to see what the hype was about. He asked at the end, what happened to the clip she was yelling about the $50? I had to tell DH it was only to get people to watch.
DH also said they will auction of the set on Ebay. I bet they will. All the furniture and deco could go to habitate or humanity or something.
I'm assuming if they are back, they will use the big set in their garage. That has a bigger sofa and they can sit farther away from each other.

getting a life as we speak said...

Ok, I can honestly say without a doubt that I WILL NOT be watching season 5 (if there is one).

Kate basically admitted she will continue exploiting her children as long as she can live the 'celebrity' lifestyle. Jon is tired of being in the public eye simply because he got busted with the college girls. If he was the average joe nobody would have cared about it.

Big fat waste of time. That's an hour of my life I will never get back.

How exactly is basically forcing your husband to live a life he hates "submission"? Just wondering...

nikki said...

You have to wonder if they even sleep in the same room anymore? And did anyone catch how the kids pics were going to be hung in the basement? Wow, heaven forbid the kids artwork interferred with what your interior decorator picked out for the house, hey Kate? And what's going to happen next season when they are in kindergarten all day? Are the camera crews going to follow Kate around all day while she picks up her organic dinners from her chef and gets her toes done? She didn't even seem to miss Jon that much when he was out of town. She just kept the circus going? Heaven forbid she stayed at home and actually played with the kids herself instead of schlepping them from here to there. What is really sad is obviously those poor dogs aren't allowed in the house. I know PA gets awfully cold in the winter. Do you think she keeps them outside all the time? Geez, considering she made her flu ridden vomitting child sleep on the cold laundry room floor by himself, keeping those dogs outside wouldn't be THAT cruel, would it?

TLC, please can a season 5. Enough is enough.

beachluvin said...

So, in a nutshell...can someone please explain what the hype was all about?
This is what I am getting from reading the comments.
Jon wants to stop the show but Kate doesn't but since Kate always gets what she wants, they are continuing the show.
Now, what about the set? Why are they tearing it down if they are continuing with the show.

BTW - this is not the first time Jon has threatened Kate with stopping the show. I forget where they were, perhaps it was en route to Utal....I can't remember but Kate was doing her usual complaining and Jon said to Kate "ok, lets stop now and go home....let's end it".

Annie A said...

he's so done with the show. looks like he's done with her, too.

Obviously, she loves the fame, the showbiz part of it, she made sure that she repeated that she LOOVES her job several times. what job is that exactly, I don't know!

I hope for the kids' sake that they don't come back. the only sad part about that is, there would be no updates on GWoP!

oh, and to force your kids to paint with "adult" colors to match your own taste and your walls? come on. what kid would choose brown and ochre (sp?)?
what 4-year old girl would NOT choose hot pink and purple for her painting?

Beth said...

"Maybe we'll be back, maybe we won't..."

They'll be back. Again, this is just another typical teaser, they need a "cliffhanger" to keep people interested. I bet season 5 is already in the works - why would they make all those production changes (Jeff???) for only a couple episodes?

Unbelievable.

It's hard to know what to believe with those two, but I do honestly think Jon is starting to get it. Maybe not for the right reasons (he wants to stop for his sake, not for the kids'), but I think the lightbulb might be starting to go off for him. Hopefully he is being sincere and can be assertive enough to be heard.

justanalizing said...

I wonder if they are planning on not coming back and using this whole thing as a "cover" so they don't have to admit that their ratings or down or that people have began to despise them? Or admit that maybe this site accomplished what it set out to do.
Just a thought

mollybloom said...

Love the comments. They may quit? Because Jon's been caught being a bad boy in public? Right.

Helloooo. They can't quit the show unless they can find something equally lucrative to bring in the bucks. These two are so full of it.

What was the deal with Jon going online to check on something his insurance agent told him about? Was that a plug for the insurance company? That part of the show was so random.

Jon is miserable. Kate doesn't care. She is happy with her life.

Angel said...

So that was the "BIG" announcement?!?! Kate is obviously the ring leader behind this fiasco and is happy being center of attention, while Jon is tired of it and wants to go back to "normal". We all know that Kate is not going to let the spotlight go just yet. I can't believe how she just went on and on about how SHE loved what she was doing and loved her new life, and just brushed off Jon's feelings like "oh well who cares what you want, i'm famous" I won't be surprised to see Season 5. Maybe Jon has realized that this whole thing has gotten out of control and now that the kids are older, they need their privacy and some type of normalcy, while Kate sits back and focuses solely on herself. Man, how this woman has changed! She's not even home with her kids anymore and has the nerve to say she's "lonely". Please! She had no problem leaving those kids with the nanny to go shopping...and of course the focus was all on her! Wow, just wow!

Mrs. H said...

The end was pointless. My sister and I were watching it and wondered what the point was. It is only going to add more fuel to the fire.

I love my husband a lot. If we were doing something and he said he didn't want to do it anymore I would listen. Why tell it on national television? It is very simple to stop the show. Yes life won't be the same ever again but I am sure if they were to stop the show 5 years from now no one will care where they are. Let the whole family do what they want, just stop the show already. If that's the case, Kate can't just do her own thing then? She still can't do the speaking engagements? Let Jon have his job, his friends, his life back. He is still young. If she loves him so much and cares then she should have said her happiness isn't as important as the rest of the family. She is just so selfish it bothers me.

Every time I watch this show I just know how not to act towards my husband and daughter. Seeing act like such a witch makes me want to be a better wife and mom.

Oh and did anyone catch her "sighs" about "having" to be on Oprah again and how grateful she was not to have to go to that awfully cold city to do her show again? Yawn. If O has them on her show one more time, I'll cancel my subscription to her magazine and never watch her again either. Maybe Dr. Phil will do a whole series about their marital problems? Watch, that will totally be next! And then they'll write a book on how to "renew" your relationship! They'll go on tour to share how they "saved" their marriage from the brink of disaster. From the looks of it, it seemed like Jon was more ticked off at the fact that those college coeds he was hanging out with knew who he was and the jig was up? What is a married man with 8 kids doing going to a college bar in the first place? Lord, could you only imagine Kate's blood pressure when she found out about that? I am surprised she didn't put him outside with the dogs!!! :)

Nobody mentioned the reason why they are getting a new set. Because the old "chair" was so uncomfortable, that is why they have been sitting weirdly. hahahaha good one Kons.
And a double hahaha that Kate had to pick out the colors for the kid's paintings. EVERYTHING about them is phoneybaloney, nothing is authentic. And of course, all of those freebees raise the kids IQs. Too bad one of the boys couldn't tell the difference between corn and eggplant.

There will be a Season 5 so don't get your hopes up that the show will be canceled. They still have to plug the furniture company and still have their trip to Korea. There is no way that Kate would ever give up the perks of the show. She's addicted.

You can't be "Just Jon" when you are "Jon & Kate Plus 8." Duh. He didn't know he has become a
TV personality? Poor me. Cry me a river. This is what happens when you invite yourself into everyone's home Jon. They think they know you. Duh. Ask any celebrity. You asked for it and traded your soul and life for trips, money, houses, etc. All the good must be split with the bad. Which would he rather have, A crappy job that didn't pay much, a small house that might have been foreclosed by now, 8 starving kids,a wife who had to work nights while he was home with the kids???Seems like he did OK. Too bad you are so unhappy Jon because Kate is verrrry happy. Hope it was worth it.

Jen K said...

As I already mentioned, I didn't watch. However, judging but what I've read here...wow, these two are liars to the nth degree.

At the Penn state talk, Jon not only said they were doing Season 5 (way back in Feb) but that they are producers. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he also say that "in the next season" he is "more assertive" or something to that degree?

How is it that in February he can predict his demeanor about events and actions which at that point had not yet occurred? Unless of course this is more script than reality, which I think we have been able to determine is the case for quite some time now.

She said on one part that the kids
"know" how to behave in front of the cameras. This was during the part about her part time helper. She probably gave them a pep talk on how to behave in front of the camera so IMO, what you see is not really how they are. I am a middle school teacher, and when I know that a visitor (principal) is coming, I tell them, and they "know" how to behave. It can be my most difficult class, but when they know a visitor will be walking in, WOW perfect little angels.
As far as Jon cheating on Kate, my DH and I agree we dont blame him the way that she talks down to him. He can't even get any word in. He probably wont leave her because of the child support he has to pay. We watched previous episodes, and we noticed that the tension between them increases by each episode. They have issues that they hae to deal with.

Oh, and on a positive note, KON's book, Multiple Blessings is FINALLY of the NYT bestseller list. Maybe word of this site and other anti-KON sites are spreading and more and more people are finally figuring out what pathetic phonies they are?

Oh, and one last comment, what exactly does Jon do for work at home? Is that Kate's way of keeping him on a leash now, to make sure he doesn't cause any more "glitches" in her "perfect" world? And besides her self tanners, who ever does her hair should be shot too. What is up with her hair?

I've never posted before, just read along, but tonight I have to put in my two cents.

The most heartbreaking theme of this episode was how selfish and self centered these two parents are. Yes, Jon complained about a lack of privacy, but it was only because HE had issues with it. Kate enjoys doing the show because of the free trips and crap she gets.

I wanted so badly to hear one or both of them say how they thought it was affecting their KIDS' lives, their KIDS' privacy, their KIDS' emotional health. But, once again, it was all about Jon and Kate. Boooo.

JJ28 said...

Wth... Jon said he had to stay with him mom to walk the dogs, and fix the house up because her husband was out of town. Why did the house need to be fixed that very week? I'm sure it could have waited! Such BS!
And what's with that family addressing family members through other fam members? Like Jon's mom, why don't the kids call her Grandma? No, "daddy's at his mom's house"... wtf? And Jon's mom's husband.... why not just say "my step-dad"?

nikki said...

OK, so exactly why do you all think that the "nanny" didn't want to be photographed? My money is on the fact that Kate wanted to make sure that she didn't make any money off HER kids. Isn't that why Jody was cut loose too?

Snerk said...

There are four things to remember about this show: Kate lies, Kate lies, Kate lies, and Kate is in charge of everything that Kate wants to control (except it looks like Jon is learning to play while the cat's away).

Sheri said...

Kate is so hard to watch now. You could tell Jon was trying to be sweet, and she rolled her eyes at every compliment or comment he made. He says she looks good in anything she wear and she makes fun of him for it. He says her painting is nice and he really likes it and she tells him to put it down without saying thanks.

You can tell he's dying to end this show and she'll never let that happen. The only way he has out is to leave her and I'm sure he can't afford the child support which makes that option nearly impossible.

If she really had a "job" then she wouldn't need the show. She loves the publicity and notoriety the show brings her, but you stop that and her whole career ends.

Here's hoping that season 5 never happens. Maybe do a special here or there with an update, but to have another season of over 40 episodes is just ridiculous. Those kids deserve better, and if J&K are serious about their marriage, they would stop just to save that.

AtlGA said...

Well, Jon was honest and said he wasn't happy. She is. So he seems to be setting himself apart.

No way twins could be happy going to school being exposed on TV and all.

Yes Jon takes the freebies, hair transplants, trips,...Allstate now....I always thought he was dragged into this from day one.

Just trying to make a little sense here. I would think he would love going back to work, have somewhat a normal life with co-workers...like he said..there's no going back..this is probably why he was out looking for attention and got caught.

As long as Kate goes on about her new preaching career, he's stuck, along with their kids. Very bittersweet.

RealMom,
I was reading your post about what Jon would rather have, and I am thinking he'd probably rather have what you think is the worst choice. That's what I'd rather have. I'd live in poverty before I would subject my family to such nonsense. I'm sure it was fun when it first started and now it has spiraled out of control. I wish some older woman from their church would mentor Kate about how to be a wife and mother. Maybe she didn't have this modeled for her when she was growing up. The same for Jon...I wish some older man from their church would model what a husband is for him. The show is not worth the dissolving of a family.

What I thought was funny was how Kate talked about the kids and "culture." Saying that they try to have their kids experience all kinds of different things. Something to the effect that the more experiences a child is exposed to has been proven to contribute to a higher I.Q.....
Well with all the free trips and experiences that are given to those children, they should end up being geniuses! lol

Agreed! Jon and Kate are two able-bodied reasonably (ugh) intelligent people who could create a nice life for their family without the show if they really wanted to. I'm sure in their minds it's 'poverty' or 'wealth' but there is a huge area in between where most people exist that is just fine.

Problem is, they would actually have to do the dirty work themselves rather than pimp out the kids. It's always about the kids and what they (the kiddos) can for for them, rather than the other way around.

The Please Touch Museum wasn't shut down for them, but they were NOT allowed to interact with the other kids (non-Goessling kids) in the Museum even though they wanted to (they are kids afterall, kids like to talk to each other). I totally agree! Like Jon said he's having a hard time being "Jon" because it's always "Jon and Kate" or something to that effect...that really made me angry. Just because he's in the spotlight shouldn't make him any different than anyone else. What I mean is...since I became a mom three years ago, I am totally a different person that who I was before kids. I always conduct myself as a "mom" and as myself whether I'm with my kids or not. You'll never see me hanging off of guys in a bar because as a parent and a grown adult, I wouldn't do that...celebrity or not! I am definitely not watching anymore! This has to stop!

Wow, was I the only one to see Jon acting? He's not unhappy to be Jon and Kate plus eight, this whole thing was so scripted. TLC had to try to pull ratings in, so they used this bad actor Jon pretending to have such a hard time not having his identity without the kids or his wife. They will be back, and Jon wants to be back with next season, TLC is trying to make everyone think it's not decided, so when the season returns, the ratings will be high, because everyone will want to know how they came to their decision on returning. Plus, they'll homeschool the kids, all of them, so that they'll not lose any footage of their "cash cows".
To those that think he's really upset, rewatch and see his bad acting skills.

cleo said...

That was all an act on Jon's part. He is in no way anymore ready to give up the good life than Kate is. The pathetic thing is that even if we were to believe what he said was true about not just being able to be just "Jon" and it is difficult for him. Would not a real human being realize what it is doing to his kids?

This was just more of the same and the scam goes on.

Did anyone notice that the little kids referred to their grandma as "daddy's mom"? That's so sad they they don't even know her as Grandma. But then again, I don't know why that surprises me.

I also thought it was humorous that Jon said he had to work because he was looking at the Allstate website. First off, that isn't work for regular people. Looking at an insurance website is what regular people do when they get home from work in their free time. And second, no agent would not answer their clients questions and just tell them to look at the website.

Dear Jon,
You have summed it up completely for your children.

I absolutely agree! This is the LIFE that J & K Gosselin chose in the BEST INTEREST of their children!! A life where, including the children, can no longer be identified as individually their own but one that is a PRODUCT of the reality show known as J & K + 8. This is NOT the cultured life comprised of experiences and memories that Kate so desperately wants it to be, but a life manufactured, created and marketed per terms and conditions negotiated in order to promote the biggest bucks$$ and the highest ratings with absolutely no regard taken to the long term ramifications it may have on the children involved . Sequestering children from the REALITY of the world and allowing them life experiences by way of critic instigated scenerios that involve preferential treatment and back door access with an occassional peek at those less fortunuate (ie St Judes) does not qualify as or encourage cultural awareness (thus increasing a child's IQ) but accomplishes quite the opposite; it merely proposes a very one sided and deeply skewed distorted VERSION of life. When one sits on national tv and complains that they are deprived of privacy and have lost all sense of their own individuality, their LIFE is no longer your own, they SOLD it at a cost!!! The disturbing part is, J & K made no mention of their children when discussing their conflicting feelings with respect to the 'odd' place that they are in right now. If J & K Gosselin had actually put the BEST INTEREST of their children first and foremost from the get go perhaps they would feel less conflicted as to the path of their own individual identities!!!

Kate belittles Jon in a way that is uncomfortable to watch. She has talked down to him from the start, but her hatefulness has steadily increased at precisely the same pace that she has become thinner, tanner, better dressed, and more coiffed.

On the flip side, Jon is an enabler in this train wreck. He allows Kate to treat him this way. When is he going to put on his big-boy pants and be a man?

This couple seems to promote the idea that they attempt to follow biblical teachings. If they think that their relationship is in any way representative of the scripture's views on marriage, then they are really misguided.

The Duggars seem extreme in many of their views, but at least they seem to treat each other with genuine respect. It is clear that Jim-Bob is the head of the home, but it is also clear that his wife's feelings and wishes are his first priority.

I enjoyed your show at the beginning, Jon & Kate. I think you lost me somewhere between the hair plugs and the teeth whitening.

babygirlhk11 said...

Jon started working from home sometime in season three I think. It was around the episode where Kate "hated" shopping for her own clothes because she wasn't good with fashion. But they went on their rare saved for trip to update Kates wardrobe. What a huge change from then to now. She doesn't even have to have Jon pick her clothe for her anymore because she "loves" to shop. Anyways point is Beth and Bob helped him get into what Bob does...web designing I think...He seemed apprehensive about it then...but now Obviously he doesn't like to work from home...and who could blame him...Anyone would need an occasional break from her!

What a damage control show, especially by Kate. Poor, poor Jon. I thought "the show was our life and our life is our show".
I agree, Kate is addicted to the limelight and money. She will do all she can do to sabotage Jon so she remains there and in control too. Jon should use his spare time at home taking some college classes so that he might get a career....or maybe he could sell insurance. ;)

It's all been leading up to the Gosselins getting a new confessional set for Season 5.

At risk of sounding like a defender, I want to offer my opinion on Jon's mom.

It is plausible to he went to spend some time helping his mother and while he was there he also did some things around her home. I assume she is an senior woman and her husband is probably an older man. Jon is capable of doing a few things that perhaps they physically can't.

As for why the children called her "Dad's mom" is because she is NOT a grandmother to them.

My own father was not a big part of my life. My children referred to him as "Mom's dad"...and considering the dynamics, it made complete sense.

I don't see that this is something they should be judged for. We don't know the behind the scenes of each family. Believe it or now, there are often good reasons for families to not remain in close contact.

Wendy said...

Unless TLC is going to change the name of the show to "All About Kate Gosselin" they shouldn't continue taping it because it is becoming a way for Kate Gosselin to feed her ego. She isn't even there majority of the time. How can she be called such a great mom? Growing up my mom worked, however, she came home every night. I saw her daily. She sometimes went on business trips for training but they were few and far between. I hate that she is exploiting her family to make herself look better. She has repeatedly said that she grew up with very little. I don't think that should be a reason to need more than she already has. I hope that Jon was being honest when he said that "maybe" their show will be back for another season. I'm not saying that to be mean but I am saying it because it's not benefiting the whole family the same way in which it used to. And at the end of the day, they are a real family and should remember that. You can never go back and re-live the moments in your child's life. Moments like when their first tooth falls out, school vacations and the simple moments like jumping rope. Maybe it really is time that they just go back to their normal lives and enjoy each other.

babygirlhk11 said...

I wonder if the reason Cara and Mady were barely in these episodes is because they have made it clear that they don't like it anymore...well actually Mady has quite verbally made that clear several times. You can't have it both ways, Jon.

And the fact that Kate is enthusiastic about doing another season for her own benefit (a.k.a. her "ideal" job) is sickening.

I am so over this show.

As I watched it I began to visualize what would happen if it was Jon who got pulled over by the cops. Kate would have had a field day and I'm sure that poor Jon wouldn't have heard the end of it.

On another note, Jon and Kate will probably get divorced and the new show will be simply titled "Kate and eight." and it will be how she deals with life as a newly divorced mom. It will show how she has to get the kids packed and ready so that they can spend the weekend with Dad, while she goes to the day spa and then goes out to party all night with all of her new best friends.

Holy lack of insight, Batman!

JON is having trouble dealing with being a public figure? HE is having trouble with the lack of privacy? HE can't just be himself because everyone is watching him in public? People think of HIS life as episodes and don't see HIM as a person?

"Grown-up" Jon is having problems with this, yet they give no thought to how these same things may affect their CHILDREN?

Well, thankfully Kate is happy. Screw everyone else, huh? Kate has her mansion. She spends half her time (at least) away from home, flying first class, staying in nice hotels, ordering up room service, visiting the spa, getting praise for the book Beth wrote for her, and getting lauded for being such a great "mom" of so many kids (even though Jon is the one who has for years done the butt wiping, tooth brushing, kid dressing, bed making, bath giving, and tucking in). Yeah, what's not to love?

I guess the good news is that Mady must have escaped the Konpound and run off to live with Aunt Jodi...because she apparently doesn't exist in the Gosselin family any longer. Run, Mady, run!

My husband and I just discussed the show. He thinks because Jon is so unhappy Season 5 will be all Kate. I said that would probably be the best thing for him since he is so unhappy. If he really is not happy why would he continue? I am so sick of his sob story. Did he just realize he is not "just Jon?" The million dollar house, Oprah, Hawaii, San Diego, Utah ski trips, morning TV shows, Globetrotters, Phillies, Florida, etc. weren't a clue that he was not "just Jon" anymore? Interesting how it did not seem to bother him until the recent bad press about him going out. NOW it is inconvenient. I guess he doesn't realize that not being "just Jon" is why people wanted to take pictures of him and party with him. "Just Jon" would have been home with his wife and 8 kids.

He NEVER did. She also referred to Season 4 on the wall; I think he just signed his name. 4) HE HAS CHECKED OUT OF THE RELATIONSHIP 5) If I had to sum up his deameanor in one word - it would be "REGRET." I now firmly belive he A) Regrets having so many kids w/K8 and B) perhaps even regrets the "show", even with all it has brought him (materially). Stupid as he is at times, I think HE is "Getting it." SHE is so lost, she may never be found.
I predict the marriage is over - sooner rather than later.

I was thinking about how someone made a post this weekend about one of Kate's speeches and how she cried when she talked about missing her kids....it's amazing how she can work up a cry and claim to miss her kids dearly, yet in this last episode she pratically drools all over herself and the fact that she's "famous" (i use that word loosely) now. Wow, Kate if you really cared and loved your kids as much as you say you do, you would end this madness. Quit the show! Your husband is not happy anymore, your older kids are not happy, and tups are probably tired of it too. There really is no point to this show anymore. The tups will be in kindergarten soon, and filming will be pretty much pointless then. This show was interesting in the beginning, seeing how they managed in everyday life with 8 young children, but now they don't even seem like a family anymore. Kate's always gone, they have a nanny, Jon and Kate are only filmed together in the "couch" scenes, Cara and Maddy have practically disappeared from the cameras, Jon is more miserable then ever, Kate seems detached from the entire family...I mean the list goes on and on.

Just a few observations:

Jon does not really want to quit the show and give up all his perks and freebies. He is just pouting that he got caught acting like a straying husband. Katie certainly does not want to quit the show. They are doing a pseudo conflict, just to reign in the sheeple, and tease the rest of us.

What 4 1/2 year old doesn't know what an ear of corn looks like? Granted he may not know what an eggplant is.

The dogs are still there and there doesn't seem to be any interaction with the kids, other than them feeding them.

Ahhhhhh the nanny. Hmmm, I'm surprised Katie doesn't call her that, wealthy famous people have nannies, not just sitters.

Katie didn't look as skinny tonight. Orange, but not as gaunt. Jon looked bloated and red faced. Too much partying?

Ah the uncomfortable chair is why the body language. Does it make her pull on her earring, and look bored and detached too?

Tonight was the most animated I have seen her in several episodes. She frequently told us she was not melting down over things.

Even short hair needs to be kept out of their eyes. I think they would look adorable with bangs. Poor Hannie will have to suffer with her migraines so she can look like Mama's little "hula girl".

Oh no the Allstate commercial....40 years down the drain. I told DH we'll have to look for new insurance.

Kate mentioned how she read somewhere that if she cultured her kids they would have higher IQ scores. Was she reading a magazine from 1960? No one uses IQ anymore, HELLOOOOOOO!!!! Have you ever heard of just exposing your children to new things so they will be WELL-ROUNDED?

Please name yourself said...

I saw some of the old shows on the marathon run this last weekend. Remember when Kate wore sweats, no make-up and looked tired, cooked in front of the camera, Jon played with the kids? For Kate and Jon to say that the show has the same intent and it is for the kids only has to watch old episodes to know that's not the case anymore. The one episode I really enjoyed was the one they talked about each kid and how they needed to be parented differently. That was interesting and showed that they did know and care about the kids. I have always been bothered that Kate never went on the one on one outings with the Boys - only Jon. Public displays of affection must be outlawed for the kids. Don't ever see any of that anymore either. I think I about puked when Kate went into the you should do a show about the "image" change of the two of them. My god, how selfish can you be?

JON, IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE THIS...

IF YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT AN INCOME WITHOUT THE SHOW AND KATE, THINK OF THE CHILD SUPPORT YOU WOULD GET IF KATE CONTINUES ON THE "PATH TO STARDOM" THAT SHE SO DESPERATELY WANTS.

Sincerely hoping that all of the Gosselins somehow can come out of this without being too damaged.

Oh, and Jon, that Allstate bit that you must've agreed to do was the final straw for me. It IS all about what you can get out of whomever you can get it from at the expense of your integrity and self-respect. I seriously doubt I'll be watching your show again.

Sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors. I'VE JUST HAD IT!

Jon's job is taking care of the kids. For which, he gets paid very handsomly, however, he works hard for the money. He is the stay at home Mom. He is not the first and won't be the last. More power to him. Its a lot harder staying home raising kids than it is to got outside the home and do a job.
Mady needs to be off camera. Its not about her anyway, its about the tups.

Note that I did not watch any of the show except the last few minutes on tonight for the "big announcement".

I feel sorry for the 8 children wrapped up in this mess, but not at all for Krazy Kate and Crybaby Jon. Those two have had choices in all this, and they continued to sell their family's souls and privacy for constant vacations, a new house, new dogs, new toys, designer clothes for Kate, matching clothes for the kids, and plastic surgery procedures for the adults. Even when everyone else could see what was going on, they didn't care.

The ONLY reason Jon cares now is because he can no longer out and get drunk without making it in the tabloids. I'm sure he's tired of pretending to like being married. Neither of them are good actors for that. Of course now that they have money in the bank, a new fancy house, and all the luxuries they need, suddenly he's no longer interested. I don't feel sorry for him at all.

Let's see. They've already gotten rid of Beth and Aunt Jodie. Then they got rid of Nanny Jenny. Seems Maddy and Cara are for all practical purposes out of the show. It will not surprise me at all if next season- and Kate will give her right arm for a next season- if it will just be her and the little kids. After all, notice that the last 2 weeks has been her taking the kids places by herself. I think they are seeing how that goes.

If I were Kate, I'd be VERY, VERY worried with this new Table of 12 show. Happy couple, happy kids. All that the Gosselin family has lost. When viewers decide they'd rather see a real, happy family, Jon won't have to worry about another season. TLC will make the decision for Kate.

I loved the signing of the set wall... what, are they going to auction it off as Gosselin artifact?

Not artifact...memorabilia!!! Remember Jon packing up the truck with memorabilia for the garage sale. Maybe Kon is hoping for a space at the Smithsonian next to Archie Bunkers chair...

I changed the channel when Jon was shown looking at the ALLSTATE web site. Exactly what was the point of that shameless plug?
Also, my skin began to crawl when Kate got all excited about a great program idea focusing a show about her evolving look and fashion choices over the years. Holy Moley!!
Why does this woman think
that clips about her wardrobe and changing look would make for an interesting show?
Talk about being full of one's self!!
Besides, I'd like shopping too if someone else was footing the bill. TLC, you've lost a viewer. I've got better things to do.

I'm guessing it won't be Jon Minus 9 afterall. It's already become Kate Minus 9. we reap what we sow, or something like that?

1. Why couldn't Hannah cut her hair?
2. The painting people were pretty evil. I can't believe they way they wouldn't let the kids paint however they wanted.
3. I can't believe the way Kate acted like they had to go someplace special to paint on canvas. Does she not know you can buy paint and canvases and do it at home?
4. Poor Mady looked pretty upset during the basketball game. I was not shocked.
5. Why in the world does Aaden not know how to spell his name? And how does he not know what corn looks like?

Those are just my top 5 thoughts. There were many other disturbing things in tonight's episodes.

I will NOT be watching the next season. I took it off of my DVR. I just can't handle it anymore. It's ridiculous.

Ahhhhhh the nanny. Hmmm, I'm surprised Katie doesn't call her that, wealthy famous people have nannies, not just sitters.

-------------------------------

Right. And if Kate calls her a nanny, it would be like admitting they aren't poor, and then they wouldn't be able to beg for love offerings or charge 25k a pop to hear Kate whine about how hard it is to...whatever it is she actually does.

KateisaMistake said...

I got the feeling that Jon threw some kind of hissy fit and threatened not to do the show at the museum, and Kate said that was fine and went about her business...just to prove that she could do it without him....Did anyone notice how when Kate went out shopping, she just left with a little weird wave, and not one of the kids seemed to care if she was there or not, like she didn't really matter anymore anyway - kind of sad, really - I can't leave my three kids that easy and they are a little older - they like kisses and hugs and goodbyes and they want to know where I am going....

phree said...

When my son was in preschool (tups age) there was a set of twins he played with. To ensure they developed individual identities they put the kids in 2 different schools. Double the work for them but worth the benefit for the twins. Kon does not seem to want their kids to have their own I'd's. Seclude them from other kids, dress them alike, and mock their quirks. These kids are going to run as far as possible in 8 diff directions once 18. All the seclusion shows in their evident developmental delays. For those who blame it on them being preemie, this is a result of nurture ( or lack thereof) not nature.

nanasez said...

"Kate mentioned how she read somewhere that if she cultured her kids they would have higher IQ scores. Was she reading a magazine from 1960? No one uses IQ anymore"

The term IQ is still used. I do IQ testing all the time. What Kate is talking about is research demonstrating that organisms that develop in enriched environments have larger brains, more neural connections, and (in humans) score higher (as a group) on IQ tests.

What she DOESN'T get is that an "enriched environment" doesn't necessarily mean "culture." It means lots of varying experiences that stimulate different parts of the brain. It means feeling different textures, coloring with crayons, cutting with scissors, playing in sand, having books read to them (we never see books around the G-Home), singing songs, doing puzzles with grown ups, lacing beads on a string, playing in sand, doing things that GET HOMES MESSY, GET KIDS DIRTY, AND MAY MAKE SPOTS ON CLOTHING.

SandyW said...

Kate's 'cultured' comment was just part of the damage control they were doing.

All along I thought they were dragging their kids all over to be taped at various locations just for the free trips. But Kate set me straight it was so they could get 'cultured' up.

A whole lot of creative writing was going on in this episode.

Pink said...

During the time the tups painted their pictures, did Kate ever encourage them or praise their efforts/talents? I may have missed this, but what I saw was her sickening commentary about needing to turn her back to look away so she didn't have another melt-down over the fact they might get dirty. It was clearly evident those kids have taken on this hideous problem of hers as some of them exclaimed...."I have paint on me!" You could see them wondering what the consequences might be for this sin.

Also, I don't buy Jon's story on not wanting to do a season 5 because of his comments to the press while in Utah. Why the sudden change of mind? I bet it was all for ratings.....them wanting the viewers to drool in anticipation of another season. Notice neither Jon or Kate made the kids a concern on whether to do another season. For Kate, well....she simply just loves what she is doing now. And that is never being home with the kids while she spreads her lies to the nation. I cannot get over how she continues to draw crowds at her book signings, and I really am aghast at how the churches ask her speak and even pay her for it!

Oh poor Jon...he can't be himself and feels like he is always labeled as a half of J&K+8. Ya know...I have a solution for that...stop doing the show. Put your foot down to Queen Kate and stop the show. I can't feel sorry for your lazy ass one bit.

Also, if your so unhappy about being at home with your children then go out and do something about it and get a freaking J-O-B! Let your 'helper girl' stay at home with the kids while Kate travels and becomes famous (and I use that word very losly).

And lasty, what a freaking selfish bitch Kate is. (I rarely call anyone a bitch but that is truly what Kate is). Could she have sounded anymore happier than she did about her new found 'fame and fourtune'? I swear it was like she wanted to get right up on her soap box and shout how happy she was to be doing this show. What a BITCH!

And yet he loves the freebies way too much to stop. WHY did his face look like he's been beaten up? Did she beat him before the interview to try to get him to submit but he voiced his opinion anyway? That selfish bitch won't quit until they pry her cold dead body off the interview couch. Who are the morons paying her to travel around and be a spokesperson or whatever the heck it is that she does that she loves so much? She was talking on her cell phone the whole time she was in the museum pretending to engage with her kids. Sick. They will not stop. But I can't see how sheeple can enjoy them now knowing he is unhappy and there reluctantly. The vibe that already reeks of death will only continue to fester and get worse!

I used to enjoy watching this show. It is so uncomfortable to watch it now on so many levels. I feel somewhat sorry for Jon and I don't blame him for wanting to go out and connect with other human beings who are not associated with the show. There is no proof he cheated on his wife, he took a photo with two lame fans. Big deal. I agree they are exploiting their children to their detriment now.
Kate is a crappy mom who is NEVER satisfied and always complains. She's aggressive and mean to her family and she's ugly inside and out. She is trashy and hides behind her religion. What a creep!

PS: Good for Mady for getting her freedom!!

for a summer- what fun they would have!
They would dig holes, throw rocks,
be read to, play in sand, with playdough, have neighborhood friends- I will give them each a container to store their collections- I promise to return them by September!

I was thinking back to my kids at that age- my oldest dug a huge whole in my garden one spring-
he put on his boots and would
go outside and work! Imagine
Kate letting her boys do that!

I like how Jon is trying to cover up his not living at the house anymore as "staying with his mom because she broke her foot and her husband is gone." He said it like 3 or 4 times. Yeah. Right.

I was actually predicting that he'd wait until the kids were at least close to middle school before he ran like a screaming banshee far far away from the family. Lost that bet.

they should be ashamed said...

"They live in rural PA.!!!! I doubt Star magazine will be waiting outside the gate if you end the show..."

Hilarious and so true!!

So let me get this straight, now that Jon is upset because he has no privacy and he is tired of the cameras the show might end? Has anyone ever considered that the kids have no privacy and are tired of the cameras? Ugh, I could scream!

I can see this as the beginning of the end of the show, really. Maybe not next season but probably soon.

Kate "loves what she is doing". What the heck is she doing? Posing as a supermom type figure? What a joke. And Jon "works from home"? That's an even bigger joke.

Money isn't everything Kon. When will you both realize that?

********
This would all be true if he actually did still stay home taking care of the kids. He even said he wants to ski at least twice a week. Can't do that and be a stay at home dad. He is protesting kate's desire to keep doing the show by running off to Utah and forcing them to come up with excuses for his absence. That, and staying with his mom because he "has to help her". Maybe this was all a ploy to force them to let them be producers. Maybe the other producers quit because of thier bullying tactics. If they threaten to not come back, maybe they'd be made producers..my theory.

The set thing--Clearly they don't want any non-LANE furniture so they have to say how uncomfortable it all is so next season they can say oh look at our new LANE set!! They could not just suddenly change it without that lame explaining they did. What will they have? 2 separate couches to sit on so they don't have to lean away from each other?

Hannah will NEVER have a chance to grow up a normal child the way her mom is treating her. What mom says her kid, who wants to get her hair cut, can't do it because MOM wants it long? She used to LIE and say Hannah would not allow it to be cut. Now we know Kate wants to let her hair grow longer than Crystal Gayle. Why must Kate live vicariously though her child? Let Hannah cut it, get rid of the favoritism and let her BOND with her siblings instead of just mom!!Long, longer, longest hair on the kids? What kind of stupid garbage is that?

Uh they're taking a break...I hope they stick to this resolution. It really seems like Jon doesn't want to do the show anymore but I know they'll be back as long as Kate wears the pants in the family they'll be back.

Do they ever pay for anything? Free circus tickets-box seats even, free basketball game so many other freebies. Why do so many people cater to this group god know there are plenty more deserving families that deserve free stuff look at some of the families on Extreme Makeover Home Edition...not all of them but many are truly greatful for what they are given.

Seems that it is that they are getting rid of old set. Which is a new set because they replicated it in the new house when they were tricking us. Apparently they never ever liked the loveseat and that is why they have trouble sitting. And they autographed the walls, ick.

Being honest said...

Kate loves what she is doing because she is surrounded by "yes-men" and feels special because she is a "tv star" who makes a lot of money by showing up to churches and going through her speech about the family.

It appears as if her only friends are TLC employees - producers, camera people, assistants...If she ended the show, she'd be left all alone, since old friends and family have been alienated. Very pathetic.

I have seen her interviewed on TV and she does not know how to speak and answer questions. She often shakes her head and casts her eyes down and repeats "I don't know..." until she remembers what her PR team taught her.

The last few minutes of the finale was painful to watch. She talked over Jon more than usual to make sure he didn't say the wrong thing. I did find it striking that neither one of them discussed how the children were coping with the changes and kept their answers focused completely on themselves. To even think that a family vote would change whether there is a season 5 is B.S. - most children want to please their parents, especially when there is competition among the whole group for love and affection.

Finally - how come these people never read their children storybooks?? I wonder if it just ends up on the cutting room floor.

I think the red face we saw on Jon was the reaction to Botox... he looked puffy at the lips and his forehead didn't move. Classic signs of "work" being done. LOL.

Jon "seemed" to be trying to kiss up to Kate like a little whipped puppy.. although it was done very suttle. "You wear clothes well" and " I like your picture" were all good lines to make it seem Jon was trying to scratch his way out of the dog house.

What a scam.

I used to love this show. It was so much fun watching the craziness of this cute family. And then it all went to their heads and the reality disappeared. She used to stay they would do it as long as it was fun and real. We all loved to see their real life. Now they take huge expensive trips, buy huge houses and do things daily that average people would not be able to afford.

Kate has changed so much. She was always kinda mean, especially to Jon, but what a primadonna now. Someday she will probably look back and realize it should have been about the kids, but instead it is about the show and the money. She shows off so much for the camera she forgets to love those kids. The example these parents are giving is sad. They are going to have quite a houseful of spoiled monsters soon, and what will they do when the show is not there anymore to spoli them?

Kate can't call the "babysitter" her "nanny" because that would imply that Kate isn't taking care of her kids. And if Kate isn't taking care of her kids, then kate can't write another book about being a great mom and hence can't make another million dollars.

So you won't see the nanny ever, she won't be mentioned, because there will be an illustion that there isn't a nanny and that Kate takes care of things all by herself. She is supermom don't ya know.

Boooo.

Cathryn, these are my thoughts exactly! I watched some scattered moments last night. Looks like I was wrong about the big reveal being about the booing and negative attention affecting the family. Wow, these two are so completely selfish. The whole appeal of the show is the kids and they get no say whatsoever? So sad that the decision is all about the parents. They apparently think nothing of broadcasting their kids most personal moments for the world to see and critique. The kids may not be working in KON's minds, but they have paid very dearly to give Kate her dream lifestyle. Hope you have enough money saved for the therapist bills, Kate.

Note to Kate: Whatever you do as your "job" is based on exploiting your kids, it's not based on any talents or skills you have. Selling your children's baby photos and slapping Bible verses into a book is not a job, and it certainly doesn't make you an author.

Wanted to add in quickly that I caught the first 10 min. of the Hayes show and it is worse than Jon & Kate Plus 8, IMO. Their Ragu pimpage was more annoying than Jon pimping Allstate. The Hayes are wannabees and they were actually making fun of KON by making constant jokes about glitter messes. Seems TPTB have read this blog inside and out. It's not endearing to me and I won't be watching this show, either.
