Hooray - I love it! The more people in the media who 'get it' and speak out the better!!!

I really liked this article. It really shows that there are people out there in the media that feel the same way I do. I am tired of hearing pro Kon comments and interviews from the mainstream media. I think it is only a matter of time before this show is taken off the air, and these children will finally be able to live a normal life (well as normal as they can get with a crazy mother and lazy father).

I think this is good for a laugh, but does not even come close to touching on some of the real deep issues of this situation. Great article, but not very hard hitting clearly. But any light on this situation is great, I am just waiting for some big names to do a show on this, like Nancy Grace or Dr. Phil.

Nadia,

I thought I heard that Dr.Phil did do a show w/J&K?? And he was pro-Gosselins! Even giving them gifts and I think free something for a year. Maids or diapers or something.

He could definitely do a follow up, but I doubt he'd want to admit to supporting them and then dissing them. I wonder if they have some of the same sponsors that would also make it difficult for Dr.Phil to comment negatively on them. Money is the bottom line for these folks!

Dr Phil had Jon and Kate on for a very few minutes. Kate talked about the chaos and the kids fighting over toys. Dr Phil (had his staff arrange) gave them a gift of two or three thousand dollars of toys IIRC so they could each have their own (not that Kate spent it that way) and six months or so of Nannies for Hire that Kate used to hire the daughter of a friend of the family and made a TV episode out of it. Dr Phil was saying an experienced nanny could help Kate learn to keep the kids occupied and doing things. Instead Kate went for just a babysitter.

One good point Dr Phil made when Kate was saying something like no one could handle all those kids, pre-school teachers do it EVERY day! I laughed and laughed.

It's probably still on youtube somewhere.

Good article by the way. I like his point. Every day life makes dull TV pretty quickly so they have to contrive situations and force the kids to go along. Not really healthy for them.

To me what is so very sad is that the question has to be asked. Shouldn't it be the barest, lowest level of commonsense that the answer should be no?

Sorry I should have put that differently, I saw the show that Dr.Phil did with Kon before but I was hoping that he would do a show about the real issues that have been brought up since then. Alot of people were pro-gosselin at that time (myself included) but have come to see the damage that is being done. I would like to see him do a show with Jodi and Kevin and Kenton and Charlene, and ask the hard questions. Sigh, maybe I am just dreaming on that one, I agree that it would make Dr.Phil look bad to be Pro-Gosselin and then "out" them but Nancy Grace would be great.

I totally agree with the comment upthread - Nancy Grace Dr. Phil and other caring media people need to report on how the Gosselin children have about as much privacy as animals in a zoo. And I agree with the person who mentioned common sense should raise concern for these kids.

Finally a local journalist gets the vibe. I truly feel sorry for the parents and grandparents being subject to the ridiculue of the Gosselin children.

The only problem with Nancy Grace (yes I watch her show) is she shows pictures of her twins on her show and posts them on her website.
Granted the pictures are not horrible like KON (no nudity, potty scenes etc), but the pictures are out there. I just feel that ones private life especially involving children should be just that--private. Not on TV or public access websites. JMHO.

Reading Eagle has some hilarious articles about KON. This one was great, too. I think PA has had their fill of KON & I am sure they feel sorry for the kids. There are tons of articles that is getting the word out about KON and the exploitation of their children. I am so glad for that. What else needs to be done for these kids to get their lives back??? It's all over the news now, and more articles are being published and TLC is still promoting exploitation...I just don't understand how it can continue legally!

Wonderful! I am going to email the reporter and thank him for bringing exposure to the horrible way these children are being exploited.

If more reporters would go public as he did then perhaps TLC and P & G would rethink their priorities.

Great article, I got a laugh out of it. It reminded me of something my husband said. He wanted to e-mail TLC with his idea for a new reality show. It was a show about us and how we care for our two dogs, pay all our bills, and work while going to school. If people watch 30 minutes of Kate making soup, why wouldn't they enjoy watching me take my dogs on a walk or studying for my next test?

Nadia, don't count on Nancy Grace to expose KON for the cheats that they are. She's been on a Casey Anthony "tot mom" kick for a good 6months straight.

I agree about Nancy Grace. The Gosselins aren't big enough for her attention. However, if Jon or Kate ended up in jail (hello, IRS), Nancy would be all over it. Well, why not?

I appreciate how the Reading Eagle doesn't hesitate to directly target the Gosselins with their commentary.

I've already emailed Nancy Grace and CNN.

I also sent an email to Greta Van Susteren asking all of the above to investigate J&K+8.

I got the usual mass email from CNN thanking me for my interest and while they can't follow up on all of the suggestions, they do read all of the email and send it to the proper department.
