This is the previous article about question Kate as a spokesperson.

Everyone with a clear head knows that Kate can't string two helpful, thoughtful, and insightful words together. That is nothing new. I just don't understand how the companies who hire her can see how obviously tedious she is. The woman is a drone.

Kates days are numbered. Kate is as fake as a three dollar bill. The whole wide world is opening it's eyes to the REAL Kate, and NO ONE likes what they see.

God is finally going to punish Kate.

A "spokesperson" by definition should project intelligence, sincerity, and ability. Kate projects pettiness and laziness. Ho hum. Not a great person to pitch a product.

Let Proctor & Gamble know what you think about their new spokesperson:

Um so, um I am here to um promote the Proctor and Gamble Pop-Up store here in Manhattan, um you all know P and G from um, the coupons you um get in the mail. And um, with a family of 10 um, we know how to cut um coupons!

Yes. This is someone I want to listen to.

Miriam,

Very good! I think you did that better than Kate. She sounds like such an idiot when she talks like that. Oh, wait a minute. She is an idiot!

Kate, your ship is sinking, and fast.

Kate is odd. She gets this weird, monotone voice, that I suppose she THINKS it makes her sound serious but she is only boring. I hate when she has her right arm bent up to her neck and leans against it when she talks. I'd love to know what that pose means in body language.

Funny you should bring this up about Kate's voice. She has said numerous times over many shows that "my voice is my best quality." No kidding, she really has said this often and I think she truly believes it!!

One of the problems that Kate has with being a spokesperson is her inability to relate to people. This is also apparent in her relationships with former friends as well as family. It is not hard to tell that she is extremely fake, and for the most part is not a nice person. A spokesperson is supposed to sell an item(s) for a company and use their ability to relate to people along with being a good representative. Kate is neither of these things.

Also, for P&G to say that there has been no complaints about Kate being a spokesperson I would have to beg to differ. I know people on this website as well as others have complained to this company about their choice of Kate to represent them. Who are they kidding?

Hey, It's hard for Kate to be a spokesperson she has to use real words. She can no longer make them up as she goes along, that's why all the um's.

I do not see what Kate does to save money that every other family in America isn't doing themselves. What makes her specail? I would much rather see a person who really is doing much more than average in saving money be the spokesperson. If she canned her own food or collected all the veggies and fruit from her own garden and showed us how to preserve it for winter, then I would say she is a more thrifty person than me. Clipping coupons? How about buying store brand because even with a dollar off coupon, store brand is still 12 cents cheaper. Nice try Kate. In your upcoming cook book are you going the top secert recipe to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? I bet you will because you seem to think that is something only you would know. Never mind the folks I know who make the PB&J made from their own homemade peanut butter and from their own garden jelly. Those are the types of folks I want to see be spokespersons.

I used to be a service rep for P&G. They are very concerned with any amount of disapproval that any customer has or had. If my supervisor had any complaint via e-mail, through a store manager or face to face with any customer I was told about it immediately and asked to rectify it the best I could. I am sure they are taking this seriously. Look at the economy? People are only buying what they need, not what Kate is selling.

Why then, is P&G lying about not receiving any complaints about Kate?

Rats...does this mean I have to stop using TIDE?

I'm feeling that Jon & Kate's momentum is changing.

I am not sure why they are denying any complaints about Kate. I just know that my stores had to look good, out-of-stocks had to be rectified and all feed back from customers was appreciated and ENCOURAGED. They were a great company to work for (I quit three years ago when I had my son).

I have e-mailed them several times myself to complain about their bad choice of a spokesperson.

Maybe they are terrified of her. I know I am. Look what she does to Jon when things aren't her way.

I can't be bothered on post on those sites but I have stopped using P&G not only because of the vile Kate but because it's cheaper to use green home made cleansers and reusable cleaning clothes. Them choosing her to speak for them just spurred me on a little sooner.

I finally got so tired of this BS that I just fired off an email to P&G. I hope others will do the same.
Here's what I wrote:

Not a question, but a comment.

I am very disturbed by your choice to use Kate Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus 8 as a spokesperson for your company. I have watched this show and there is nothing flattering about this woman. She belittles her husband and smacks him on camera. She is extremely rude to him. She exploits her children and shows blatant favoritism to some. She tries to portray herself as a Christian role model, but she acts the opposite. Was she chosen to represent your company because she clips coupons and tells people to save money by making purchases on sale? Everyone already does that, no one needs to be told, especially by her.

I could go on and on but I think you get my point. I have been a consumer of P&G products for many years. However, I am really going to have to re-think my future purchases if you are going to continue to use this annoying woman as a spokesperson. Thank you for listening.

On a vary limited budget - I buy only what I need and generally it is not a P & G product.
Glad the word is getting out -
we are making progress.
Thanks for the article Kenneth.
Thanks again for this site.

Well...the obvious conclusion is that P&G ALSO lies, just like Kate.
It's a marriage made in commercial heaven.

It's so funny to me that this blog is brought up in the comments of all of these articles -- by the sheeple at that. It is like free advertisement. That is sort of how I found this blog. I saw someone on another site (can't remember which) refer to GWOP and I had no idea what it was or what it stood for. I googled it and found the site, and have been here ever since. The sheeple are leading people to the site. Ignorance is truly bliss.

As I have no knowledge of contracts, A note to Ruthie - a former P & B employee - What type of contract would k have signed?? Long or short term?? For a specific amount??
Thanks

I wrote to P&G the first time J&K were on the cover of the weekly newspaper coupon insert.

I RECEIVED A REPLY VIA EMAIL FROM P&G...."thanking me for contacting me and assuring me they would forward my comments to the appropriate person".

I'm not sure why P&G is saying they never received any complaints.

I guess mine ended up in the e-mail trash department.

Roger from Erie, PA said...

I can guarantee any reputable company is going to care about who their spokesperson is. If they get enough negative feedback, they will pull the plug, contract or not!

The reason they picked Kate (or perhaps her agents came a lookin) is because her show was doing so well at the time. Once it has died down and they have gone away, do you really think they will keep Kate on as their spokesperson? It isn't Kate who they are pimping, it is her children.... That is the draw to Kate, not her, but her children. Kate doesn't get that and if she does, perhaps that is why she is jealous of them in her little mind.

I also wrote P&G and received a rather generic response some time ago, so they are lying about what they are receiving regarding Katie Irene and her being a spokesperson. Why? I haven't a clue.

cheryl said...

Maybe P & G paid for the Utah condo and NC beach place before they realized their quality spokesperson.
Time for the pier to collapse.

Di said...

I just sent an email to P & G - told them not to bother with their 'generic' response but rather to forward my email to someone in a position to DO SOMETHING about this pathetic situation.

ruthy said...

Reply to Cheryl,

I was just a very humble, glad to have a job at the time, service rep. I would go into local stores and check on P&G beauty care items.
(see if they were out of stock and what needed to be ordered)

I am not sure what kind of contract she has.

They were a good company to work for in regards to paying for travel time and hourly wage.
I do think they will respond to the backlash they are receiving. I am wondering if they just don't know what to do with the "crazy woman" and that is why their replies are so vague.

I sure hope when Jon's done with that hat he lets Kate wear it.

Here's hoping that Joel McHale and "The Soup" read the article. I can't wait to hear what Joel has to say.

I would have loved, to be a fly on the wall, when Kate read this article.

I sent an email of complaint this afternoon and received the following response:

"Thanks for contacting us.

We appreciate your taking the time to let us know how you feel about Kate Gosselin being a spokeswoman for P&G brandSAVER. Please be assured I'm sharing your comments with our P&G brandSAVER Team.

Thanks again for writing.

Mary

"

I was amazed that it was canned, but at least specific to the Kate thing. I have a feeling they have a new prepared "Kate Response" that they are instructed to send out as a result of the emails they are getting.

Good sign...

Rap541 said...

Why then, is P&G lying about not receiving any complaints about Kate?

Because business people aren't going to publically admit that they're getting complaints. When and if Kate leaves the position, Proctor and Gamble is not going to say "Yeah we fired her, good riddance!"

They're politely say Kate has moved on to different things.
