Wow!! Kate has an IPHONE>>> How ever do they afford such rare treats..

Anonymous said...

Also noticed that once again she called it the "family job" although in the very same sentence she said "they don't work"...

Can you say BORING! If Kate's gift is the one of gab, she better get a new gift and fast.

Kate's slipping--- "family job" and "don't work" doesn't make for a lot of love donations....

Anonymous said...

I don't know about anyone else, but I've had jobs that were so easy because I basically didn't do anything (and how I miss those, lol). Maybe that's what she meant?

That woman is so f'in clueless. "Even though they're not working..."

Unbelieveable.

If one of the kids came to her and said they didn't want to do this anymore they would stop. I wonder if the twins would have any say in it at all because it surely doesn't look like it right now.

Is there a "Mr. Technology" in the house? Anyone??..Kate needs 3000 pics developed! chop-chop!! note: Jon no longer works.

On Wiki answers it says that Jon and Kate get paid aprox $40,000 a week of off love offerings. They say the sell out show with an audience of 20,000 people all the time. This is above and beyond how much they get paid for the show. And the cherry on the top all the freebees. Wow. Again I got this off of Wiki Answers so I am not making it up. It almost makes me want to have 6 kids for the money (KIDDING) how they have the nerve to say stuff like "we have to budget for specail days and bagels are a treat for us" they really make me cringe.

What I noticed was that Kate never stopped swinging her right leg. Okay I got bored and didn't finish watching the clip, but for the first 1 1/2 minutes the leg was swinging. Nerves, impatience?

Is it just me or is there a vast difference in quality of this youtube video vs. the one that pinkcupcake put up and took down? This one looks like what I could shoot with my own camera (including the noise background). The other video, while not professional quality, was so much better than this one. (Possibly created by Kon's PR team??)

jon and kate have absolutley no charisma on stage. They don't act the least bit happy or enthused to be there. They also speak in such flat monotones.

Kate's hair! Even in this video it just looks ridiculous. So long and straight in front and then that huge scrunched up part in the back!

Not to be an arm-chair shrink or anything....

But it could be...anxiety or nerves.

Impatience tends to be smaller movements (like a foot tap).

When you are nervous, you don't know how obvious you are with a movement.

When you are impatient, you tend to be more subtle until you grow much more impatient or irritated.

**Based on my personal experience with my mannerisms, my husbands, and a parent who spends way to much time "tolerating" things instead of enjoying the moment (small subtle movement person!)

Perhaps she gets anxious to have to do public speaking?

I do really annoying things with my hands. I had to view myself on tape for a class and I cringed at how "big" of movements I was making when I felt like I wasn't moving much at all.

Oh good grief.....Anon 7:56PM
Your idea that I am on Kon's (as you call them) PR team is ludicrous.
I was sitting about 10 feet from them & videoed with my Kodak EasyShare 7.1, as well as took pictures. It just happens to record well & has great sound quality.

I cannot believe people pay money to see these two.

It's obvious that Jon and Kate will continue to justify their "family job" until they have enough money to never have to work again. They are definitley a strange couple. In addition, both are full of themselves, wanting and enjoying the attention, of course. How in God's name can they expect the kids to call the shots when they are new to this world. Their job as parents is to teach and protect. Yet they insultantly act as if the kids want all this in their lives. They don't know any better as far as what's best for them. With the exception of Mady, which someone had pointed out did speak out with the "No Cameras Allowed" sign. I hope this is the last season. Why can't Jon and Kate be happy with annual updates? Can't they see that they are being used? Move on...Please!

What the heck is wrong with her hair...YUCK!

I agree. I had to stop watching after the first 15 seconds. Why anyone would cram themselves elbow to a**hole in an auditorium let alone pay hard earned $$ to hear these two shysters speak is beyond me. Yes, Kate's constant leg swinging was very distracting.

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't read anything deeply psychological into Kate's leg swinging. She thinks her legs are hot. And according to a reliable source in this household, I'm told that they are. The fact she wore shorts (or was it a short skirt?) when she would be sitting with her knees at the audience's eye level is just a reflection of Kate's lack of class. I bet her favorite movie must be Basic Instinct.

Anonymous said...

At first, I believed that Jon and Kate were sincere with their motives. Since they really do like to chronicle their lives on film-I felt that they thought it would be a great idea to do the reality series. Then, being able to stay home and raise your children-who wouldn't jump at the chance? It seemed all so innocent. However, somewhere along the line greed, laziness, self-adoration and manipulation etc..seeped in. Even when family and friends tried to intervene, they were stonewalled. The whole situation has been blown out of proportion. And it's scary to think of the price that Jon and Kate will pay when all is said and done. But the worse price will be paid by the Gosselin children. Is any of it worth these sacrifices? I hope they wake up before it's too late, if not already.

Note those greasy and nervous legs of hers. Someone must've told her she should slick them up and show them off on every occasion. I also noticed that horrendously horrendous hair cut?, do?, mistake? Did you?

I'd rather pay money to watch my neighbor mow his lawn. These two are not bright and funny. What is the draw here?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I so have to agree here. I was bored in the first 30 seconds of hearing them talk. Even while watching Kate do the Kmart video it was the same thing. You'd think that if this was their job they would make it fun. But I guess after doing this and answering the same questions over and over again you get bored.
Anonymous said...
Could kate be trying to grow her hair out?? I know I had a pixie cut for years and growing it out it harsh, let me tell you.
But I do agree..that flap on the side and the porcupine spikes in the back have got to go.
there has to be a more flattering way to grow out your hair. Use a headband, do something!
Anonymous said...
Kate said at this event, "If we knew how popular the show would become, we would have never done it." Okay, how about quitting now? I'm just sayin'.
Anonymous said...
Very good point indeed. :)
Kate may look hot in a skirt but she sure doesn't in a bathing suit and I agree that hair is really something!
I wonder where the twins were during the Q&A. I wonder who keeps the tups now when they are doing these speaking engagements. I guess no one is ever going to ask any of those questions we have all been waiting to hear the answers to like what happened to Beth and Aunt Jodie.
Anonymous said...
They have absolutely NOTHING to impart to people.
Please quite paying them.
"famly job"...ugh!
Anonymous said...
One way to fix the katie Irene 'do~Swing half the flap over the back and cover those spikes (crown) until they grow out. It is too thick and "side" heavy anyways...doesn't even all fit behind her ear anymore!
Anonymous said...
Maybe Kate in her mind Kate believes that outrageously bad hair was Donald Trump's key to becoming a billionaire mogul, and figures it could work for her too.
I loved them when the show first aired, but I cannot even watch it anymore. If it is true that they make 40k a week, then I am truly horrified that they use their children in this way. (oh and if she makes that much money, please oh please hire a hairdresser.) I would love to hear from these kids in 15 years, how they felt about tall this.
Anonymous said...
$40,000 a WEEK? i hope this is a joke but i have a bad feeling its not. that really does make me sick. they are bascially fiancially set now, so whats the point in continuing with the show?
i used to really love watching every monday too, but everytime i watch the show i cant help but pick out every little thing and analyze it. these two are sick and need to get a real life. i cant wait for the kids to grow up and write their family tell-all...
Anonymous said...
These two dolts have no stage presence whatsoever. It seems like they went to the local trailer park and picked the two biggest morons to put up there. Does Kate have "nervous leg syndrome" or what? Get her, her greasy legs, and that horrendous porcupine hair off that stage and off the damn TV. Who the hell in their right mind would actually pay money to hear these idiots? Geez..............
Anonymous said...
The big issue is, if the Coogan Act doesn't apply because it's a reality show, will the children each have their fair proportion (at least 10% each) in trust funds by the time they are 18, or will they have to come to Kate on bended knee for a "love offering". Assuming J&K haven't squandered it all.
Anonymous said...
Who the hell in their right mind would actually pay money to hear these idiots? Geez......... Wasn't it PT Barnum that said there's a fool born every minute? IF so how fitting since he also ran the freak shows that were so popular and what now are called Reality TV!
Kate said at this event, "If we knew how popular the show would become, we would have never done it." Okay, how about quitting now? I'm just sayin'. Sure, Kate, because everyone goes on TV to make a flop. Get real she no more meant that then she really gave the children an option to quit having to perform like the circus for TV.
I wouldn't read anything deeply psychological into Kate's leg swinging. She thinks her legs are hot. And according to a reliable source in this household, I'm told that they are. The fact she wore shorts (or was it a short skirt?) when she would be sitting with her knees at the audience's eye level is just a reflection of Kate's lack of class. I bet her favorite movie must be Basic Instinct. LOL. That was one of my main complaints when I watched the show, Katie's need to show her legs off to the top of her thigh with sitting sideways legs bared up to there and covered with a pound of lard each so they shine brightly in the lights. Maybe that's why she doesn't like Jon bald it might detract from her shiney thighs. I wonder her taught her that sitting in cheesecake photo style was appropriate behavior?
Now I know for a fact KON reads this board. I have been posting for the last two weeks how annoying it is that whenever kate talks her hands are always fidgeting. I find it a bit more than coincidental that she is no longer fidgeting her hands but rather swinging her leg. she has to be reading these posts. funny.
Living in Central Florida, they were at the Southern Living Women's Show (okay--don't recall the exact name of it) and were listed in the entertainment section.
You paid to get into this show on a daily basis and then walked the exhibits and listened to speakers and/or watched/listened to the entertainment.
Mady and Cara were mentioned as being physically at the show in advertisements for the show schedule.
The sextuplets were not mentioned.
Again I wasn't there--but according to the schedule, the parents and twins were to appear (meaning the twins would be in Orlando) but not the sextuplets (I assume they were left at home).
Their appearance was at 1pm (and IIRC MAdy and Cara were to be in a fashion show--I saw that mentioned somewhere) on Saturday.
So if they flew out Friday night, no school would have to be missed.
Their apperance was sponsored (by a radio station--their banner is behind J&K) and something like "The Dairy Council"??? So in publicity/entertainment speak, that means their appearance and/or expenses were covered by these 2 businesses.
Unfortunately I do not have a copy of the publishing, so I won't ask you to take my word for it, but this was based on advertisments for the women's show that I had read.
A friend of mine went on Friday to see Dr. Phil. Tickets to his show were free.
On Wiki answers it says that Jon and Kate get paid aprox $40,000 a week of off love offerings.
**********************************
I wouldn't trust Wiki answers, Wiki is always changing info as it is confirmed/denied, so Id take that figure with a grain of salt. Im sure they make a good amount from the love offerings, but I highly doubt they make $40,000 each week from this. They get $25,000 for showing up to a speaking gig, but I cant imagine they would sell at least 750 pictures at every stop to make $40,000 for the trip.
And Kates hair was awful. Did she seriously get through hair and makeup without anyone saying something?!
Even if Mady and Cara did not miss any school for this event, what an overwhelming and stressful life to place upon to these 8 year olds. If living their life for a reality tv show isnt enough, they must also accompany their parents on speaking engagements, keep up with their academics, pose for magazine photo shoots, appear on talk shows. Exactly when are they given the opportunity to just be 8 year old kids, form friendships with same age children and enjoy life like an 8 year old should?!
There was a post on IMDB of somebody who saw them at Disney Friday during the day.
Pennsylvania only permits student(s) to miss 10 days per school year. That includes sick days, educational trip(s), etc...How in the world are Kon (short)skirting that state-wide rule?
Anonymous said...
Regarding the PA rule of missing 10 days...that is not correct. My husband is a PA school teacher and in his district you can miss 21 days.
I think the bigger issue here is that with all of these trips to speaking engagements that KON go to...they are not spending time with their kids. Just think of all the weekend speaking engagements. Every one of those weekends they leave their kids with someone else. That is one of the reasons I am so disgusted with that show. It is such a farce. Why don't they film the kids at home without their parents. Because I believe that is the true "day in the life" of the Gosselins. Those trips away for the weekend are never even mentioned on the show.
Sorry, I am a few days late on this one. I am having "audio problems" with my computer, and was not able to hear any of this while it was playing. Could some kind soul sum it up for me via text in a comment to post? Thanks so much :)
This is taken directly from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Education, PA.Statute 13-1327 regarding compulsory attendance, section II (A)entitled "Compulsory Attendance Requirements"
D. Cumulative Lawful Absences
A maximum of ten days of cumulative lawful absences verified by parental notification may be permitted during a school year. All absences beyond ten cumulative days should require an excuse from a physician.
I am so sick of hearing "The Family Job" Doesn't Kate realize that in saying it like that it implies that the Family in it's entirety is WORKING?! She says they do not work but Kate, here is where REAL parents differ:
REAL parents get up every morning at the butt crack of dawn, get their kids dressed, make them breakfast and get the to daycare or school on time and get themselves to their REAL jobs on time.
Contrast:
Jon and Kate Gosselin seem to get up whenever they please, or at least Kate does while Jon does the dirty work of preparing breakfast and getting kids ready for school (or production crew, or built-in nannies or whoever is around that certain week).
REAL parents work hard at their jobs and many are still barely making ends meet.
Contrast:
Jon and Kate Gosselin do not have to work for the food they eat, the clothes they wear, the house they live in, the toys their children play with or the expensive vacations they go on.
REAL parents cherish the limited amount of time they have with their kids after school or daycare pick-ups and on the weekends.
Contrast:
Jon and Kate Gosselin parade their children to the whole world for their financial gain. No REAL time is spent and no REAL memories are made other than those the children will be haunted by the rest of their lives. This does not seem to bother Jon and Kate Gosselin though.
REAL parents do not get tummy tucks, hair plugs, teeth whitenings, hair cuts and the like... they often have to sacrifice these things so that their children can have more important things like a college savings fund or birthday presents.
Contrast:
Jon and Kate Gosselin get all of the above listed procedures and more at no cost to them. Wouldn't it be great if Jon and Kate said something like "We appreciate your kind offers but we'd rather spend that time with our children seeing as how they are more important than cosmetic procedures." We will never see that though because Jon and Kate Gosselin are more than willing to sacrifice precious family time for such cosmetic and trivial pursuits... they are FREE after all!
REAL parents work to support their children and their children's interest. REAL parents work second jobs and long hours to ensure that tuition for beloved dance classes or little league fees can be paid.
Contrast:
Jon and Kate Gosselin invite the world in to get what should be censored peeks into their children's lives. They let their children to the work for them and they receive all of the profit.
Has either parent ever asked any of their children if they would like to participate in T-Ball, Ballet, or Gymnastics? My guess is NO because that would interrupt the show schedule. Although now, I will not be surprised if I saw a one and only future episode featuring a tup' enjoying his or her favorite past-time or extra-curricular activity.
Jon and Kate are not real parents, no doubt about it. REAL parents care more for their kids than to put them on television and let their children work and support them... it is always supposed to be the other way around. J&K don't get that.
