Oh yeah, I'm sure that Kate NEEDS to use the layaway program because she "can't afford" to buy them all at once! PLEASE!!

Ilovemykids said...

LOL at Kate Gosselin. What this woman won't do for the almighty dollar. This is a woman that refused free Walmart clothing because it was too "cheap" and now she's out hawking Kmart. Do you think we'll see the kids in matching outfits from Kmart now?

Anonymous said...

OMG someone help me I am gagging uncontrollably!! So what is the message here? Did Kate re-invent Lay away too? I highly doubt she would ever step foot in a k-mart let alone do all of her holiday shopping there. what a farce.

Anonymous said...

OMG I just had a frightening thought. You know how k-mart has a Jaclyn Smith womeen's clothing line, and a Martha Stewart household line, pleae someone tell me this is not a preview for a Kate Gosselin child type of line. I just get the feeling k-mart may be hiding somethign up their sleeve with this latest interview about what is yet to come. I think we should start writing kmart.

grannie annie said...

Looks like someone has already supplied her kids with toys for the season if what she had around her is any indication.

Anonymous said...

Is that her basement she's in?

Anonymous said...

Notice the V-Tech smile there by her feet? haha. Kate never stops, I tell ya.

patrickwm68 said...

ROTFL!!! Are we really supposed to believe Kate does layaway or shop at K-Mart for that matter? The woman doesn't even except church donations from Wal-Mart. LOL!

Anonymous said...

um, um, um, and um....woman is an idiot

Anonymous said...

Wow, You all know that Kate would never ever shop at Kmart right? She HAS to be getting endorsed for this, and I bet she will only take cash, not store credit!

I didnt know that Lay-a-way was in Vogue now lol I honestly dont think it helps you keep to a budget, yeah you can pay over time, but wouldnt that make you buy more since the payments ARE spread out?

Glad that St.Judes will be getting donations from Kates Sheeples because it is a great organization. But I find it sick that Kate is just doing this for money, because she NEVER mentioned them before, even though she said she talks about them all the time.

And I loved how the hosts kinda made fun of her at the end, makes me proud for once that I was from Minnesota

Anonymous said...

Too bad she didnt say how we have 2 Christmas's one fake one for the show where we really confuse our kids then the real one on the actual day that would have been good but honest and kate isn't honest.

Anonymous said...

I thought K-mart discontinued the layaway program?

AmandaT said...

Right, this is just as convincing as Star Jones endorsing Payless Shoes.

Anonymous said...

Thank God I wasn't the only one who heard the sound 'um' every few words. You could (um)make this video (um) one of those drinking (um) games from college. Every time Kate says 'um' take a drink. After watching her I need one!

Anonymous said...

OMG is she serious??? Didn't they do a show showing them shopping in Toys 'R Us for Christmas??? Who they heck does she think she is fooling???

Anonymous said...

Gee -- I was waiting for the tips on planning for a family gathering. What happened to that?
Oh yeah....that's right....Kate doesn't have any family to gather with on holidays.

patrickwm68 said...

I don't know about the rest of the country but here in New Jersey, layaway is not something to brag about.

K-Mart must really being paying her good to plug their layaway program.

Anonymous said...

Kate sure had her, um, paragraphs, um, memorized, um, but definitely lacked in the, um, emotion department.

Thank goodness that lady at the end said something. Kate looked real thrilled about the whole thing. Maybe they told her before she went on air that she wouldn't be keeping any of the stuff! he.

Anonymous said...

Kate said "um" 34 times during that short segment. She's a fantastic public speaker, isn't she? A role model for us all.

ThreeFarmers said...

Aren't these the same people who sent back the Wal-Mart clothes because they weren't of high enough quality?

jlsamp428 said...

Could she possibly have been less friendly?

Anonymous said...

Ahhh!! This woman is over the top! There is nothing she won't do for a dollar! Like we really believe that she shops at K-Mart for anything! Maybe K-Mart is giving her "rewards" but I really doubt she shops there. And what is wrong with the rest of America that they really think she is so great, and thrifty, and such a loving mom?

I also think it is funny that the female host made fun of her at the end...but it is true...Kate talks with no emotion, as if she has "more important" things to do, people to boss around, children to pimp out.

And lastly, please, someone tell Kate to get a haircut...please...or is the reverse mullet in vogue now??

Anonymous said...

OK, Just so I understand correctly. After a spending the past year at numerous amusement parks, resort vacations hideaways, vanity procedures, spa trips, custom building a Mc Mansion, releasing a book and DVD, talk show appearances, 25K speaking engagements, selling family photos for $20 a pop, Kate is now presenting herself to the working class promoting K mart lay away plan and offering helpful hints as to how to remain within a holiday budget. WHATEVER !

Anonymous said...

She doesn't really think she's going to have a "Kate Gosselin" brand at K-Mart like Martha Stewart has, does she?? Martha's success comes from her talent and hard work over years and years. Martha earned everything she has because she busted her butt over time. Would someone please tell me what Kate Gosselin has done?? Except for being an uneducated, hick loser who needs to take some serious remedial English and public speaking classes!! Actually, though, I think this spokesperson thing is a flash in the pan. Based on her "um..." abysmal performance in the "um..." K-Mart thing "um...." she "um..." hopefully won't be getting any more "um..." spokesperson gigs.

Anonymous said...

I've contacted K-mart. Just the idea that they gave her money when she didn't even want a gift card from them for the tups, target or walmart thanks, makes me LOL at how stupid they must be to pay her to shill for them. Will we see her at the local K-mart on an episode now doing her holiday lay-a-way?

Christi said...

Glad I'm not the only one who caught the hypocrisy of someone rejecting Walmart, only to shill for Kmart.

Can someone do a transcript of this (and the other online video)? I'm on dial-up, and I can't afford to spend hours downloading something that'll just raise my blood pressure. :)

Anonymous said...

I've cut and pasted the url from your front page, but, when I get to the K-Mart site, I can't find the video of Kate. Am I doing something incorrectly

Anonymous said...

Lordy be! Is that really how K-Mart wants to be represented? Kate could lull the audience to sleep with her "budget tips" and any astute follower of the show KNOWS Kate would never shop at K-Mart. I'm going to make up a new "Kate" word for this latest farce: disingenuousness.

Anonymous said...

"Thanks!"

LMAO!

Love that last word by Kate! LOL! She looked about as thrilled to be there as her kids did during the Good Housekeeping shoot!

haha!

Steph said...

LOVED the snark from the hosts at the end. At least the woman host saw through her.

Carol said...

Kate wouldn't go inside Kmart to save her life. She was a real snooze in that clip. The only thing entertaining was that every other word was "um."

Anonymous said...

I just finished watching the video and all I have to say is O MY GOSH!!! What a joke! Kate is great at sticking to a budget because she pays for NOTHING!

Oh and umm, umm, umm, umm.....

O man!

Ilovemykids said...

I'll bet the PR firm tried to "sell" Kate to higher end stores, but none wanted her to push their products - no name recognition, so she had to settle for Kmart.

Anonymous said...

OMG!!! You gotta be kidding me?! Like Kate needs or even used Kmart or layaway. She blew up at Jon in the middle of Toys R Us one christmas. She'd never shop at Kmart...I'm sure it's beneath her!

nofantasy said...

FWIW, I love K-Mart! Many of my kitchen items are from Martha Stewart's line and I love them.

I know "Showcase Minnesota" isn't Regis & Kelly, Oprah, Dr. Phil, etc but I can't believe she didn't even smile! That was nasty, even for Kate.

Anonymous said...

Who wants to take bets on when the Kmart products end up in the local consignment shops??

Thalia Menninger said...

It's revolting. So many Americans...TOO many Americans...are worried about being able to afford a Christmas at all for their kids this year, and here's little miss cha-ching describing Layaway to us like it's still 1976 (I didn't realize stores still did such an antiquated thing.).

Maybe more American parents should whore out their children and turn their childhoods into 18 extra years of wage earning. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Anonymous said...

"And um, I plan on buying things on sale, and um, and um" Please Kate get some speaking classes! Lordy, I do not get the appeal of this woman. She is a HORRIBLE speaker, and so monotone when she talks! I just don't get it!

Re: Kate promoting Kmart lay away.

Your momma tells so many lies, she has to go to K mart and put them on lay away.

Fill in your own blank as to the WHO that is saying the 'your momma'.

michelle said...

I counted 31 times she said, "Um"

She sort of comes across as snooty.

Anonymous said...

I can not figure out for the life of me why this woman continues to keep lying to the public? She does not have to worry about budgets this woman is a millionaire. I always wondered how can a charity give to another charity. If your family is so strapped for cash how can you afford to give donations to other organizations, but yet at the same time ask for donations for your family. Would it not make more sense for them to keep the money that they have and not give it away if they so desperately need it? Why continue this viscious cycle of asking for handouts and pretending to be in such need. Stop lying Kate Gosselin you do not shop at K-mart.

Anonymous said...

Kate was on one of the local morning radio shows in Boston on Monday. The host was asking her about how they travel with all of the kids. She totally ignored the question and said she wanted to talk about shopping. Then she went into the whole thing about KMart and layaway. Then at the end of the interview she plugged KMart and layaway again! Thank you for posting this, now I know why she was talking about KMart!

Anonymous said...

what strikes me as odd, is in every single interview, even the couch sessions, why is it whenever Kate moves her mouth her hands are always going in synch with it? very strange. watch next time. every single times she speaks, when a word comes out her hands start moving. like they are connected to her mouth.

Anonymous said...

Her way of buying or I should say getting things on sale is going to pick up her free clothes from the Gap, or wherever they get free stuff at. She does not have to worry about getting anything for the kids because American Sheeple, and TLC will be footing the bill for the Gosselin kids.
What makes these kids so special that they get everything handed to them? It isso crazy. They are not identical twins. They are no more alike than a singleton would be from their older or younger sibling. Only difference is the tups were born at the same time. Big Deal. I am so tired of this family and Kates lies. I cannot wait to see Kate Gosselins exit interview post Jon and Kate plus 8

Anonymous said...

That hair.....good grief !

It is awful. She is going to look back at this hair thing 10 years from now and cringe everytime she sees this freak-do. I am genuinely embarrassed for her. Somebody....anybody....please talk this woman into a sensible hair style.

Anonymous said...

Hey Guys,

I think I can now verify one truthful statement that has passed K.G.'s lips. Remember when she stated that she, "doesn't notice other people"? That's how she survives being her..it makes sense now. She really doesn't realize that other people can see and hear her. Kate, we can all see and hear you. You might want to change your approach and behaviour, it's very unbecoming. People are not laughing with you....can you connect the dots?

michelle said...

I was thinking that maybe she was saying all these "Ums" because she was nervous being interviewed alone. And sometimes when your nervous, it may come across as being uninterested or "snooty". I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. And can anyone prove that she is not shopping at K-mart?

And I don't think her hair is ugly. Infact, I think Kate is a very pretty woman. She even looks a little like her friend, Beth. And Beth is very pretty.

I just want the children to be okay. I worry about them. I've noticed just how unhappy Cara looks during the photo shoot for Good Housekeeping and the picture of her in People magazine.

My only concern is for the children. And I hope Jon and Kate will come around and do the Right thing for their children. It seems, even from the episodes & the pictures, that the children are not happy with this "public" life, especially Cara and Mady.
My wish is for Kate and Jon to see this.

omg are we all supposed to be suckers or what? imagine all of the money they are rolling in and she's talking about shopping at Kmart and using layaway! HA! what a freakin joke!

she seems so blah...like at the end of the interview..."awesome, thanks."

it's so insulting that these companies are using her as a spokesperson, especially when the economy is so bad. gimme a break! it's just sickening really!

Anonymous said...

Somebody....anybody....please talk this woman into a sensible hair style. Yes, it's freakish, but she could wear it any way she pleased if she'd only stop whoring her innocent children out and started acting like a loving mother instead of a money loving mother @#!%$. I never joked about the wall of China bangs on Ms. Duggar because she was a well meaning if unfashionable woman. With Kate the hair is the least of her crimes. Her lies never end and K-mart has been made a fool out of for coughing up money for an idiot who'd never set foot in their stores unless they gave her a big check and fumigated it for her. You know she'd feel that K-mart is full of icky germs from those poor people that go to budget motels.

Aunt Connie said...

On one of their shows Jon said something like he would go to the ends of the earth to do what is best for their kids. He looked quite upset.

Maybe they WILL go to the ends of the earth. That would be a good thing!

Does Kate actually UM think that anyone believes that she shops at K-Mart now??! All that pours out of this woman's mouth are lies! It was so clear how she was trying to promote K-mart it was almost hysterical. The guy even changed the subject to talk about St. Jude's and she HAD to throw K-mart in there once again saying how you put a donation in at the cash register. What a weirdo and GOD give me a break with the hair already. I swear... she looks like a character from Star Trek. I still think she only has to do it for continuity like Jon had to have his beard-y think for continuity even though it was ugly, he hated it and wanted to shave it he couldn't?!
That right there goes to show you how much control their PR firm and Figure 8 even TLC has over their every day lives. You can't shave your face or cut your hair because we don't want VIEWERS to get confused. Ugh...

Rosey in Washington said...

What is Kate going to promote next for money...maybe a strip club, or a bar on the corner?? That greedy lady will do ANYTHING for money, seriously, she has NO TALENT. All she did was HAVE CHILDREN, thats it....she didnt cure cancer, or win a gold medal, or anything..ALL she did was have children, and she didnt even do that naturally...and NOW all she is doing is making money off her status as a mom of 8 children. I seriously think that she thinks she has the most children in the world, but it really puts her to shame when the Duggars are on right after Jon and Kate plus 8, and they have DOUBLE the number of children you do, and they don't live off their show, they dont live off of freebies and repeatedly telling people how much they are "struggling", they are actually living a NORMAL life, and then you put JOn and Kates show next to that and you realize what a circus the show has become.

I mean seriously, this weeks episode of the Duggars was of the oldest Duggar son proposing to his girlfriend and a big family get together, and this week on JOn and Kate you see them shooting the cover for Good Housekeeping. Now if you don't see a difference in the two families from that, I don't know what could get people to understand how different Jon and Kate have become.

K-Mart (which now also owns SEARS) is alot better than Wal-Mart.

Anonymous said...

Um, uh, um...yoo hoo.... Kate... 1998 is calling and they want their hair back.

I am thoroughly convinced that as a result of all the blogging about Kon, many companies have noticed the rabid dedication of the sheeples. And I mean rabid literally. People who are sick enough to harass a grieving mother because she dared to speak out against their favorite reality show, must have rabies.

Despite the controversy, they are gambling that the Kon lovers will snap up anything they endorse. I see a line of Gosselin branded products (bibs & sippy cups anyone?) in our near future. If I see another "money saving tip" from Kon I'm going to throw up. Kon hasn't had to worry about saving money for a long, long time. While the rest of us are actually worrying about how we are going to heat our homes this winter and pay for Christmas, they are rolling in their millions while signing deals with companies like Kmart. A store we know Kate probably hasn't set foot in in 20 years.

RealPhilliesPhan said...

Obviously, Kate doesn't have a clue as to what St. Jude's children's hospital is all about. Her pitch to get people to donate was that " a lot of children are going to be spending this Christmas in the hospital," WTF? Yeah, with a terminal illness. Those kids aren't in there with appendicitis, or the flu, they are there because St. Jude's offers the best care for children with terminal cancer, and doesn't turn anyone away, that's why donations are so important. It just goes to show how phony, uncaring and uninformed she is. She showed about as much personality as a wet sock. Why would any retailer want someone with so little personality to be their spokesperson? For those of you keeping track of the "um's," watch her during the couch interviews, and count how many times she says "like!"

avidshrewwatcher said...

Shrew, until there is special Christmas episode with you yelling through the aisles at the Nutless Wonder and over the Blue Light Special announcement, no one will buy into this propaganda!

Let's take a look at what Kate Gosselin has promoted in the past few months.

Her lunch menu suggestions:

How to make a ham sandwich.

Feeding a large family.

Buy in bulk. Prepare sauces and soups ahead of time and freeze for a later time.

Smart budget tips.

Turn the thermostat down at night.

Holiday shopping:

Buy on sale, shop at stores with a lay away option such as K Mart.

Does America really require the likes the Kate Gosselin to remind us of these suggestions and helpful hints that have been in existance and families have already been practicing for many many years? Kate having 8 children and a reality tv show does not, by proxy, qualify her as an 'expert'consumer educator. As a consumer, I find it extremely difficult to absord anything that Kate says or does as believable thus reducing the effectiveness and validity of whatever she is selling/ promoting.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry but this all all PR driven. To make Kate seem more "like the average mom." Look she shops at KMART and puts things on layaway.

YEAH RIGHT!!!!

The damage control being done is too little too late. We are onto Kate and her greedy misgiven ways. This is just a lame attempt to restore her image and her (and her PR firm's) attempt failed big time. And so does her hair! My goodness, give that woman a decent haircut! Sheesh!

I know it's probably a standard reply, but at least I voiced my objection to them featuring KON in their coupon clipper, especially one offering money saving tips. Hopefully, if enough of us keep emailing these sponsors, they'll get the message.

Obviosuly Kmart does have a connection with Kate Gosselin as she makes specific reference to the store.

Um - ah, um, I counted 34 um's...and she started many sentences with the word, UM! I'm sure, um, she would, um, correct Jon, um, if he, um were, um to do, um, that. Kate - that there is some goooooood English!!!

In response to J & K's 'yard sale'.

This latest attempt at damage control reminded me of the scene in the movie, 'Mommy Dearest' where Joan Crawford threatens the children by taking all their toys away and then intentionally invites the media to her home. Where she then stands on the balcony, her 'precious' children lovingly by her side, declaring to her public and fans that she is donating toys to children less fortunate. In summary, while the act in and of itself is commendable, however, the TRUE nature of the intention behind all the fluff and precisely timed staging of events, disturbingly self serving.

ThreeFarmers said...

How is she a millionaire?

Their house alone is worth about $300K, maybe more.

This season alone, they are contracted for 40 episodes. Let's say after they pay agents and PR and management, they are making about 45K out of the 65K per epi. 40 x 45K = 1.8M and that doesn't include any of the speaking engagements or any of the money they made from past seasons. Not of their assets may be liquid as I hope they are setting aside money aside for the kids. Also, any money in college funds would be counted as their assetts. I'm not even going to go into the tax free Love Offerings they've gathered.

The are easily millionairs, unless, of course, Kate spent it all at the spa.

Anonymous said...

ok ok I got it. She said UM a grand total of 38 times in a 4 minute interview. LOL

I don't believe that. Maybe your question about the segment she was on wasn't specific enough or the person responding to your question didn't understand. But no one plugs some place like KMart for free. She even talked about it on their episode last week in the Q & A's. You give the Gosselins your product for free, they advertise on TV. Same thing for plugging a store like KMart. Why the heck would she waste her time otherwise? Out of the goodness of her heart? hahaha. That's laughable. She looked so entralled to even be there much less give these "tips" for budgeting at Christmas. Give me a break. Damage control at its finest. Not.

Was that filmed in her basement? It looked like the same corner they do the interview sessions but with a different backdrop?

I know she says 'like' a lot. What I notice is that Kon know only one positive adjective: 'awesome.'

iluveeyore said...

I never did understand what "layaway" is, but even though I grew up poor, I somehow knew that the people using layaway were worse off than we were.

I'd see people come into a store and say they wanted to put some money toward their layaway. When I asked my mother what that was, she explained that they couldn't afford the item in one payment, so they would put some money toward it every week.

My parents did not buy anything they couldn't pay for. If they didn't have the money right then and there, we didn't get it. They had no credit cards or checking accounts.

I truly cannot see Kate Gosselin using layaway. I'd bet Kate would probably be mortified doing that. But she sees nothing wrong with claiming to do that and advising other people to do it too. What a tool!

Anonymous said...

I think she said "um" so many times because she was trying to remember her script and what all she was told to say. But the thing is, it didn't sound believeable or spoken with any emotion or feeling. It was delivered very cold and robotic.

It blows my mind that people pay to see this woman speak.

Anonymous said...

I never did understand what "layaway" is...

====

Layaway was used before credit cards were commonly know/used. Layaway allowed people to purchase an item by paying for the item one payment at a time. Once all payments were made the item was theirs. I did not think that it stil existed. The last time I saw a layaway department was at Ames in Maryland.

AmandaT said...

I thought KMart had done away with layaway. Guess it's back. Notice how Kate made a point to say she would use it because they would store the goods for her, not because she couldn't afford it. Still has to snub her nose at the little people.
Just wrote to KMart. There isn't one in my area, but there sure is a Sears where I will not be shopping. To make sure they didn't pull the "we don't know when are commercials will air" bit, I included a link and specifically quoted that Kate was described to be speaking on the behalf of KMart.
Ya know, Katie is sure helping me with my budget, in that I think twice before buying anything.
I do love St. Jude's though, they've been close to my family for years, and my only hope is that the sheeple will send in lots of donations to that wonderful place.

tmc said...

Kate has the personality of a blade of grass. My goodness, she didn't even crack smile and she seems very rude, like she couldn't have been bothered to there.

I'm sure, and most you would probably agree, KON won't be buying any gifts this year. The "Sheeple" will be buying it with their love offerings. It's a disgrace. Why can't they take those donated items and sponsor a family in need, or donate them to a Children's Hospital.

I don't have a lot of money, but my company sponsors at least 10 families a year at Christmas. We all chip in money, buy the toys, wrap them and deliver them. It's a wonderful thing.

I was watching TLC tonight and had a revelation.
After one episode, I was going through the channels, and came upon Suze Orman giving financial advice.
I took a look at the haircut and thought.....hmmmmmm now that looks familiar.
Although not an exact image, Kate's do resembles that of Suze.
I can just see her now:
If I do my hair and make up like Suze, I will be rich, then I can give advice to others!

I am a pr professional and this segment just made me cringe. Honestly, I couldn't even watch the whole thing. What pr person in their right mind (a) puts that woman on air -- she is not saavy enough and has quite obviously not received enough media training. Her attempts to throw the KMart name into her comments were obvious and transparent. (b) as everyone here has said, she is completely unbelivable as a KMart customer. It is just not a fit and any pr person in their right mind would see that and would not recommend this opportunity for their client. It is quite obvious that their pr firm is pitching them to anyone and everyone. Poor KMart just took the bait.

While I am positive Kate would never shop in Kmart, I think it's kind of funny how some people are saying that people who have used layaway are the poorest of the poor. Years ago when I only had one kid and we both worked and had plenty of money, we still used it just because it was there. Christmas is a time when you spend way more money than usual and if you can keep it at the store (and out of sight of snooping kids) and just pay for it gradually, why not? Sure, we could have paid it all up front and then hidden and checked to make sure we still had plenty of money for bills and stuff (hey, we're a military family, I didn't say we were rich, just had enough), but why? It's a lot better than credit cards. I wish Walmart still had it. Some stores like Gordmans has it still. I don't see why it's seen a such a stigma : )

Anonymous said...

Maybe she does need layaway. No more friends to store the gifts at close by right. In fact she can just call the store, demand what her kids want and they can set it aside. Oh the joys of layaway.

Anonymous said...

Kate was on a local TV channel the other day doing the Kmart infomercial. I played it back and counted 35 um's and uh's. She was very cold during the interview, seemed bored and didn't crack a smile once. She made sure she pushed the Christoper Radko ormanents Kmart sells too. She doesn't have the smarts to be a spokesperson for anything. Kmart is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this choice.

That is such a load of organic BS. Now, I am not in advertising, PR or any related business, but I tend to believe that when a company is spending millions of $ for advertising, they know EXACTLY where each penny is directed. Looks like KMart is doing a little of its own damage control.

I never looked at layaway as being for the poor. It's a great way to hide presents, my brother is/was a huge snooper and always found gifts. It's better than credit cards since, the places we went, did not have a fee like credit cards. I wish layaway would come back, but most of them around my area have been cancelled, including KMart.

WOW...I was finally able to listen to the podcast! What a blatant liar Kate Gosselin is! Not tht we didn't already know that...but the nerve of her spouting off lie after lie while we are listening.

What got me the most was "what does your husband do?"
Kate-"computer stuff"...yeah...I guess that's not a lie but she forgot to mention that all he does is sit in his closet at night after the kids are in bed and read anti Gosselin blogs and send out threatening letters to people.

Kate has such a flat affect-her face as well as her voice (her best quality)-talking in a monotone just like Jon-with no enthusiasm at all for what she's pushing at the time. K-mart on this one.

She also answered that they wouldn't have help even if they could afford it-they like raising their children on their own. It's very important for the kids to be with one of them at all times (Jon). We know what you mean Kate.

You two are quite the pair. Who else would want either of you...well maybe Jenny, the helper...she likes the outdoors and might be just Jon's type!

This appeared in various markets across the country, here's one from Minnesota....

Oh barf. My senses could only manage 20 seconds of this tripe. The audacity of 'Ingrate Kate' giving budgeting tips. Like she's a normal struggling American housewife trying to get by.
Give it up Kate. People with brains and a conscience are not impressed.

The Minnesota thing was so much more fun to watch while counting the "umms"....I got 37 but about 3 of those were actually "ahhs"...there is almost a rhythm to them...this would make a much better drinking game that just waiting around for "exhausted" or "myself"...but you'd need a big supply on hand to keep up with her "umms."

What an absolutely TERRIBLE public speaker. People are losing their homes and jobs and she's being paid for this $tuff?

"She also answered that they wouldn't have help even if they could afford it-they like raising their children on their own."

If that is the case, what exactly was Jenny's purpose during the two week long 'working vacation' in July of this past year. It appeared to me that she was responsible for dressing the children, feeding the children, playing with the children, and disciplining the children. She even resided in the same bed as one of the children. Kate might not call that help considering it is something expected in her daily life, however, in REALITY the above would be and is defined as help.

Did anyone listen to the interview with Kate on Kiss 108 radio in Boston (the link was posted here somewhere). Well, based on that interview alone, it seems to me KON will hang themselves with their own rope very soon. Her answers to the host's questions were monosyllablic and montone! The host asked her some very direct questions and you could hear her pause before she answered. For example, the host asked, "So, what does your husband do?" She responded, "Um...computer work." Really, it is worth listening to. You could tell the host knew she was giving him a load of crap. If I can find the link, I'll post it. But if you google Kiss 108 + Boston, you should be able to find it. It's really something. She came off as really odd and creepy. Good, put her and the ball-less wonder on every media outlet and let them answer questions and maybe they will do themselves in and the madness will end with that "fatal error in judgment!"

omgosh... the boston radio person is soooo funny with his interview with Kate. They alluded to the fact of things they read here. It was so funny the joke was on her.
Hee Hee. She was trying to taut Kmart... He called her "something else"

"It's really important that they are always with at least one of us..." (not word for word)...

For example, how they are with you when you get tummy tucks, hair transplants, teeth whitenings? Oh, that's right, you leave 'em at home with the helpers that you don't have because you do everything yourselves. Got it.

"She also answered that they wouldn't have help even if they could afford it-they like raising their children on their own."

J & K previously stated that the reason extended family is not in their daily lives is because, 'they didnt know how to help us'. Present day, they are stating that the extended family is not in their daily lives because, 'they dont understand us' and that they
"wouldnt have help even if they could afford it". Less than a year ago, J & K left the children with Aunt Jodi and Beth for extended periods of time while they were off getting a hair transplants and collecting love offerings. Now they are stating that at least one of them is home with the children at all times. They still have help and family continues to remain absent from their daily lives. J & K's version of their story may have changed but their inability to speak the truth hasnt changed one iota.

OMG she said on the interview her "mindset was on shopping??" what the hell kind of response was that? its a school day and shes talking about xmas shopping and being in NYC at the moment. Im listening to the pod cast now and Im laughing my but off. this is better than SNL. LOL. Hey speaking of SNL it would be funny if they would spoof them.

OMG the interviewer is brilliant. Love the girl that jumps in and says "dont you have your sister or someone helping out?" boy did she skirt the answer to that one. Now she is rambling about lawaway at kmart. what a laugh they must be having in the radio studio.

OMG the interviewer just told Kate "why dont you give jon a nudge and get him to make more money" Im laughing my but off on this interview. this is so funny.

ha ha ha the interviewer just brought it up AGAIN. "You really need to get the husband out there to make more money." Someone had to have been lurking on this site prior to writing those interview questions.

For those of you not from or familiar with Boston, the radio team that interviewed her is known for being absolutely hysterical--they love to "cut to the chase" and ask the most embarrassing questions. I would not be shocked if they did read all of the blogs about Kate and decide to go after her. I for one enjoyed the interview!!!!

Anonymous said...

I loved it. I wish she'd get more interviews like that. They sure weren't in awe of her and didn't really want to let her slide on the lie of not having help.

Oh, boy, give Jon a nudge so he'd make more money.

Really, she can't remember how she warmed the bottles? Was it because she didn't do the warming?

Love it. She probably wouldn't have nannies? Right. Just call Jenny something other name and then it's all OK you don't have a nanny.

Anonymous said...

Oh my goodness, I just spit milk on my monitor...did they actually say preparing for family gatherings?? I can't believe it.
She'll probably have Kraft services do it for her.

Kate has alienated every member of her extended family.

i listened to the interview on Kiss 108 as it was happening. I laughed when my 11 year old daughter blurted out "Kate is such a liar" every time she spoke. Matt did a great job interviewing Kate and you coud tell she was trying to stick to a script when he asked her about what the hardest thing was during the day and mentioned going out in the car she immediatey said "right now my mindset is on shopping". They had to drag out of her that is was indeed Christmas shopping she was talking about and then Matt told Kate to tell the kids "Santa passed on" and how that would solve all the Christmas money. Kate never waivered from her script she went right into a little speech about sticking to her budget and how we all should go shopping now and put it on lay away at Kmart. They kept talking about her once the interview was over. My favorite part was when Kate squirmmed when Lisa asked her about Aunt Jodi taking care of the kids, if you have not heard it go to kiss108.com and cick on matty in the morning, the interview is broken up into 2 parts

Kate is an, um, idiot, um, who has, um, some help, um, here and there.
Good Grief. I'd demand my money back if I'd paid her to do the K-mart spiel.
And LOVED them saying tell Jon to get a job. And stop lying about the help you have Kate as we all know you are out scamming churches every other weekend. Those kids are not with one of you all the time.
I think her bible is missing the 10 commandments. And stop promoting the SIX gosselin website. Yes, she's something else but lets not say what.

I think it's so funny that she is representing Kmart when she turned down a bagful of free new clothes from Walmart. We all know she doesn't shop at any "Mart"! In fact she doesn't shop at all. She goes to her front step to see what The Lord and UPS has provided for them!!

Doing off location radio call in interviews was a smart move on the part of Kate's PR team. #1 no visual evidence of her folding under the pressue of the interview #2 she doesnt have to look in to the face of the person she is lying to.

I just dont understand J & K's need to spin doctor everything they say. Just tell the TRUTH 'it yours life' why lie about it!?

Kate has become so obsessed with herself that she doesn't care if she sounded bitchy or frigid. I bet she looked down upon these people and Kmart that is why she never bothered to smile. Kate you are such an ingrate!
I have been watching reruns of Jon and Kate, but not the new ones, and I have noticed that Jon actually talked back to Kate on the earlier episodes. I guess now he just got tired of trying to affirm his manhood or something. He just probably stopped thinking and just let Kate make all the decisions and he probably would rather have Kate look like the worse parent.

OMG!! I just watched the Cleveland interview with Kate promoting K-Mart layaway. If she were giving this little presentation in a high school speech class, she's get an F. She is so horribly disconnected from her audience and is totally INarticulate. This just shows how cold and emotionally distanced she is from people. Overall message here we can safely infer: "I could give a flying f**k about you people - I just want the money for doing this promo!" She's a bitch and came across that way.

I used to live in Boston and loved listening to Matty in the Morning/KISS 108. I want to hear this interview, but can't seem to locate it on the website (I also clicked on the link provided by another poster). It's not even listed in Matty's schedule ??

I couldn't even get through 10 seconds of the Minnesota interview-OMG Kate is such a tool.

I immediately proceeded to send an email to the show( the same exact wording as my email to Judith Evans for calling Kate an expert because she invented PB&J) . Hopefully many of you will also.

K-Mart (which now also owns SEARS) is alot better than Wal-Mart.

Not in my area.

Thankfully, I have not heard or seen a commercial. I am thankful for that.

I had a hard time finding the boston interview, but finally did. And it was worth it! Hilarious!
This is the link I used:
http://www.kiss108.com/cc-common/podcast/single_podcast.html?podcast=MattyInterviews.xml

Wow, she needs more interviews like that. "So if you had a lot of money would you hire some nannies?" And Katie pretends and says, no, they wouldn't (forget to add "Umm, we already have a lot of money and nannies."). She says that it's important for either her or Jon to be with the kids at all times.
And forgot to add "except for when we go out on dates, go away for tummy tucks, teeth whitening, or hair plugs ... or for when we leave almost every weekend to collect love offerings and a $25,000 speakers fees."
Oh, that Katie. Must be mommy-brain that made her forget all of that.

Amanda T. thanks for that link. It was so revealing of the true Kate. He asked some very pointed questions and she hummed around a while before giving their standard "we have no help" answer. I LOVED it when they asked her about her "sister" that helped and she was forced to answer and it was "No, we prefer to do everything ourselves". Just the whole thing was a hoot because of how uncomfortable you know she had to be with those questions. Thanks Amanda!

I worked in public relations for many years and I can tell you that this segment with Kate plugging Kmart was a complete disaster. What should have been a fun, upbeat consumer segment was instead a tense, forced segment that lacked credibility. In a strange way, Kate reminds me of Martha Stewart. Nothing about the segment will make people want to run out and use Kmart's layaway policy, which is the goal of the entire effort.
