Am I the only one that is getting the message that this video is no longer available?

It is still up, see my comment above.

I'm able to see it. They make me ill. I just can't figure out what makes them so special??? The world is full of mothers, most of which are good. Why does everyone care so much what Kate Gosselin has to say?

Dana Carvey once said that there is a fascination with all things on TV. If you put a watermelon on TV and then displayed it in the store, people would gawk over it excaiming "there it is!!! that's the watermelon from TV!!!".

I guess that's what we've got here.

Anonymous said...

Eh, the person who posted those clips has the comments on delay/pending approval. She must be a sheeple. I wonder if anyone asked about Jodi, Beth, exploiting the kids, etc.

hellokitty said...

I'll never understand why people ask Kate for advice.

anna said...

I understand the mom of the quads asking her a question..just one mom of HOM asking a question of another mom of HOM..but only a few of them were even questions that I had not heard the answers to yet. Like the screening camera/crew people...But other than that, I don't see the fascination that people have in them.

Anonymous said...

Kate is such a great mother that she has no suggestions for toilet training beyond the M&M thing she read somewhere. Ha!

Anonymous said...

Why *DO* people ask her for advice? Hey sheeples, how about asking a professional, like your kids pediatrician?

Kate didn't even have the answers to the questions she was asked! She didn't know what to say about the potty training, the 15 year old babysitter of the 16 kids, nor the one about her becoming a nurse again. She avoided the nurse question like the plague!

Anonymous said...

She admitted in part 3, that "week after week" filming is so fast paced and different crew people coming in. Those kids are living in a circus. I think the twins must hate it, the little ones no nothing else.

betsy said...

If you listen closely, at the beginning of Kate's attempt to answer the potting training question, you can hear John start to say something like "just let them sit..." then he trails off. Was he about to suggest they are just left in a dirty diaper until...when? I may be wrong but I think that's what I heard him say. More good advice from John and Kate! Ummm...not so much.

Anonymous said...

I think Jon was referring to their methodology of making the boys especially sit on the potty until they go.

Anonymous said...

I swear these two act like this show is going to go on and on forever. I hope this gravy train comes to a screeching halt in the next year.

I saw the first video. The second and third had been "disabled" by the time I got to them. Gee, I wonder who had them "disabled?" Counld it be KON?!

Watching this was a little awkward for me. Being from Alabama (although not speaking with such a twang that I heard most people speaking with at this Q&A session) I kinda felt like Kate gave off a "superior" vibe. Almost like "God, why are we here in hick-town answering questions about our obviously superior life?" YUCK! What the hell is going on with her hair anyway?? Oh, maybe she has to keep it ugly for continuity. Hmm.. she also had no real advice for parents or the 15 year old girl... wonder why that is? Perhaps she doesn't have any read advice because she's a pseudo mother. Kate you've got a lot of growing up to do... you really do need to learn how to take care of your kids.

I wonder if the cases of Orville Redenbacher Organic Popcorn that she can't find at her store anymore have arrived on her doorstop yet?

Im sorry I still can't get past the clipping coupon story.

I'm not even one minute into part one and Kate is already condescending Jon! The girl asking the question said she was a student at some university (couldn't catch the name) and Kate whispers to Jon - "college." Uhhh - duh!!

Anonymous said...

I was actually there in Birmingham yesterday and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the show and they were very down-to-earth people, just like every other couple you may know. They were joking with the audience and each other. I didn't feel that Kate was showing any kind of "superiority" at all. The question about the potty training thing would've been a tough one to answer for me too, and I'm a mom to 3 kids. The lady's son who was almost 4 was still not potty trained. Yes, that's something to speak to a dr. about, not Kate. When the question was asked about the 15 year old, I felt like Kate didn't understand what exactly she wanted her advice on. So she told her to make sure she got her schooling out of the way and settled down before starting a big family, I see nothing wrong with that.

Anonymous said...

Man, she just rambles and rambles at the end of part two!!

Anonymous said...

I started to watch the first video then stopped. Just can't watch this freak show any more. Have not watched their show in 3weeks. I do not watch TLC at all any more. I do read the blogs some to see if they any closer being off the air. I just do not understand the appeal this couple has to folks that would pay money to see them. I don't get it.

Anonymous said...

HA! That potty training woman had to mention she had multiples otherwise Kate would have said, "I don't know. I've never had just one child so I can't help you." But I guess it still didn't help the woman because Kate still had no clue. What Kate wanted to say was, "Well, when my boys had trouble, I just sat them on the potty in their room and turned the lights out and told them not to move until they peed. Try that."

Anonymous said...

I can't believe people pay money to go see these two idiots talk.

I do not care what fony fronts the Gosselins put on at their speaking engagements. Kate doesn't think anyone on the face of this planet can relate to her Stttreeessss and exhaustion level of having 8 kids. I think it's funny how she is always complaining about having 8 kids on her show. She's always saying that people don't understand them because they have 8 kids, people don't know how to help because they have 8 kids, her life is so crazy because she has 8 kids, life is so hard because she has 8 kids yet when the woman who had 16 kids spoke up she said "Well, who's counting?" Umm... apparently YOU ARE KATE! They are not the only couple to have sextuplets before and they won't be the last. They try to put on a "relatable" face and maybe I believed that from the very beginning but most people with 8 children (or even 2 children) don't go jet setting around the country like they do and MOST parents understand that the age her children are in is an age where they need to be GROUNDED. Four year olds needs routine and HOME, not free trips to Hawaii, Utah and anywhere else they see fit in hauling their kids. They say they want their children to have as normal of a life as possible?? How are they accomplishing that by dragging them to photo shoots and talk shows?
I don't care about the LIES that J&K tell to make you believe that they are just an average "normal" family trying to get by with twins and multiples - they are telling you a story. How can you comment on being a parent or give others advice about being a parent when you yourself are not one? Kate, you may have birthed those 8 kids but do your part and be their MOTHER! Cara and Mady desperately need a better role model than Kate Gosselin who thinks that life is a free ride and that other people should pay for your mistakes.
GROW UP KATE!! Everyone is on to your little secrets and lies - just tuck your tail between your legs and go back from whence you came and give your children at least a little chance at a "normal" life like you say you want for them!!!

Stacy said...

Just watched the videos, interesting. I do believe there are 2 sides to every story, and I would respect the Gosselins if they came out and said how grateful they are for their VIEWERS and SUPPORTERS because without them, there would be no carte blanche at Gymboree.

What Kate says is one thing, her tone is often flat or frustrated and curt. If you observe Kate's nonverbal cues she rarely smiles at the audience, or acknowledges their questions with a head nod or compassionate expression. If you want to know exactly how she feels mute the tv and observe her facial expressions, eye rolling and posture, and then decide how happy she is.

And someone should tell her that organic does not ALWAYS equal healthy.

ThreeFarmers said...

She also need to learn that "all natural" doesn't mean "organic". She went on and on about all natural fluff when just because the ingredients are natural, doesn't mean they were produced organically.

Anonymous said...

Wow, That was painful to watch. I can't believe people pay money for that..

Could they have been anymore COLD to the woman who said that one of her babies past away? All they could say to that was "ohhhh". Wow just wow.

Anonymous said...

J&K were flat, expressionless, and dull. Because of the show's popularity booking them at these functions, I understand the type of people they draw who will ask questions. But, the answers are never any different and it's certainly getting old. They repeat the same things everyone has heard on tv. IMO It's not gonna last too much longer.

How will they keep the money coming? I see a clothing line, toys, a learning series, natural foods, a shoe line, all endorsed by or actually w/their own brand name. What other things will they branch out into? Unless the kids have some huge talent they've kept secret the kids won't be able to continue in the entertainment industry (unless they have acting planned for them though).

Oh, shoot. ...... you don't think they're planning an 'entertainment' type show (where the kids sing, dance, like on Nick.) as opposed to this one that they say is 'reality'?

pullthegosselinplug said...

So, they are in their church with the kids every Sunday morning?
They forgot to say except the 2 weekends a month we have speaking engagements and the numerous trips we take every year. I would be willing to wager they are NOT there more often than they are there. Oh, my. The lies just flow so naturally now - I guess practice makes perfect

I honestly didn't find this to be as bad as some of there appearances have been (HELLO... Regis and Kelly- that was bad!). I did however laugh out loud when the woman with 16 kids stood up and started talking. You could tell Kate was pissy that there was a mother with twice as many kids. Kates "Yah but who's counting" comment was very snotty IMO.

And for the love of god... KATE GET A NEW HAIRSTYLE!!!!!! it looks like rats are nesting in it!

I get why people loved them. I get why they got a show. What I don't get is why people still love them and why they still have a show?? All of the personal reasons aside (effect on kids, etc.) its just not very good television anymore. I loved it when I would see her go through her day and how they manage. Now its just whatever event TLC sets up for them and they are not dynamic enough to make it interesting (J & K not dynamic that is). After watching the youtube videos, this cements this fact for me. They way they did not engage the audience at all, not even with acknowlegements or facial movements (Jon may in fact be a statue). Who would pay for that??? I don't get it. I think its time I stopped watching.

allison parker said...

How dare Kate is having no plan to go back to nursing once the kids are in school full time? It would be sad?! What a lame answer! How are they supposed to get food and pay for the bills if none of them work? I am disgusted by Kate not planning for the future. We'll see when we get there? I don't think anyone would want to hire her as she is mean and dumb.

pullthegosselinplug said...

To Anon 7:25AM - your post about all of the things they can branch out into to keep the cash flowing made me think of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen - I really think the Olsen twins are foreshadowing how the Gosselin kids are going to turn out. Then TLC can send them all to that new amusement park - "TherapyLand" where they can ride the "Prozac Pirate Ship."

Sorry, I cannot see them developing their own line of anything. I just can't see food, clothes, TV shows, etc. To me they are just not that marketable. The whole sale of the show has been the sextuplets in their toddlerhoods being cute and Kate being a total and complete bitch to Jon and the kids and meshing that all together in 30 minutes. That is all that has sold this show. The kids are soooo not cute anymore. They are growing up! And definitely have that grown-up look to them now, especially Mady and Cara and the 3 sextuplet girls.

I'm one who just can't fathom anyone paying money to see them. I just don't get the appeal. She's not talking about a cure to cancer, world peace or even having an intelligent discussion about anything child-related. She couldn't even answer the questions she was given in the one clip I saw from the Birmingham show. She offered the M&M's approach to potty training. Other than that, nadda and spoke nothing of importance.

They are not marketable, nor are those kids. If they were, they would have been approached long ago. Plus Mady and Cara, when they went to that talent agent in a previous show, she would have seen something in them and snatched them up right away. My son was involved with a modeling agency in NYC and my experience, either a child "has it" or they don't. If Mady and Cara had it, that would have been something that would have been recognized long ago. If the tups had it, same thing. It's a sad business too. Alot of rejection and isolation. But then again, these kids are used to it from their mother...

Someone else asked if we thought John and Kate are planning an entertainment type show for the kids. My mom pointed out to me that she believes John and Kate are planning for the future.

These Q&A things could keep going on long after the reality show. Not to mention commerical and endorsements as they are doing. However, I think they are thinking more than that.

My mom pointed out all the musical stuff on the show. The video, the girls' violin and piano lessons, and the singing on the show they have been doing like the Christmas carols and all that singing they kept doing on the 4th of July show on one of their many exhausting vacations. Sorry, I can't keep track of them all. I think it was Florida, wasn't it?

Too bad they are showing their true colors the more times they are seen, so who knows how much of an audience will remain.

BTW, I thought they don't allow pictures or filming of their speaking engagements. I'm surprised we are now seeing one. At least with that fluff, I know I didn't waste any money when I didn't see them when they came near my town.

I can't see them anymore. It says that they have been removed by the poster!?

What happened?

Could they have been anymore COLD to the woman who said that one of her babies past away? All they could say to that was "ohhhh". Wow just wow.

In all fairness the lady didn't really give J&K a chance to show any emotion to her baby passing away and the lady probably does not want their pity. She told them she was the mother of surviving quints but that one had passed away so I'm assuming there were only 4 of her children there. She said it quickly and relatively calmly then went on with her question. Some people do not want others to say "Oh, I'm so sorry! How are you now? Was it hard to get over? What was the grieving process like?" It's inappropriate. I wouldn't know what to say to someone who told me that either so my response might have been the same.

Paula S said...

IMO all parenting questions should be directed to Jon since he is the ONLY one that actually has anything whatsoever to do with the parenting of those children. I do not understand why that is not more of a topic of discussion regarding J&K. I mean she does NOTHING compared to this man. It is absolutely incredible!

Regarding Kate's hair, (I know this really petty but I don't care!)- my mom said she looks like she has perpetual "bed head." I also think that she looks like she has "airplane hair." Also, as a mother myself of 3, having short hair takes more time to style. Longer hair is actually easier because you just put it back or in a ponytail. I used to have shoulder length hair and cut off about 4-5 inches last winter. It took me twice as long to style it cause I couldn't pull it back as easily. You would think that with 8 kids and her having no "me" time that she would have an easier hair style. Especially since Jon has mentioned NUMEROUS times how much he liked her long, blonde hair. She gives him crap about how he looked when they met. What about her?? Double standard, huh, Kate?

pullthegosselinplug said...

I have read Kate's hair described many ways - my favorite is a toilet brush!
I think 75 minutes a day to run on a treadmill is plenty of "me" time.
One of the only luxuries Kate has that I envy!
(there, I admitted I am jealous of something - happy, sheeple?)

I dont think I would pay money to see this chicken head and ball less wonder speak. They seem like they just make up things as they go along.

I was at the Birmingham speaking engagement and I thought they did a really good job. There were some stupid comments from audience members, like the woman who offered to give the children free hunting equipment, and Jon and Kate handled it really well. They seemed nice, loving, and very genuine. Kate was having a very bad hair day, but other than that I was really impressed, especially after what I read on this blog everyday. Also, Jon's hair looked a lot better in person. I was surprised.

It appears that the person who sent us the video links was not the person who posted the videos. The videos were intended for personal viewing according to an email we received. However, as we all know youtube is a public forum. We are sorry for any misunderstanding that may have occurred.

So the person who uploaded these videos on YouTube intended them for personal viewing? She does understand what YouTube is all about doesn't she?

I live in Atlanta, so I decided to peruse the Birmingham media (tv and print sites). There does not seem to be any media coverage of the Gosselin's speech.

I find it odd that all of a sudden camera and video are being allowed at these speaking engagements.

I can believe that Jon and Kate are not crying poor "NOW" (and wow now there's video proof).

That still doesn't negate all of the things they have said previously.

The Pro-Gosselins will say "their circumstances have changed" - but I believe their circumstances changed a long time ago and it's just now that people are paying attention that Jon and Kate have decided to change their tune.

Anonymous said...

They've been taken down.

I'm sure they were taken down because the sheeples emailed her and told her there were the anti Gosselin crowd dissecting each clip and their horrible behavior.

And YouTube is for personal viewing only?

Who knew?

I guess you learn something new everyday!

It doesn't matter who is taking the speaking engagement clips off YT ,the horrible behavior is evident on ALL episodes which are also on YT.

" They seemed nice, loving, and very genuine. Kate was having a very bad hair day, but other than that I was really impressed, especially after what I read on this blog everyday. Also, Jon's hair looked a lot better in person. I was surprised."

They weren't getting paid $25K to appear not nice, unloving, and disingenuine to the audience. They reserve this behavior for family and close friends and 'a day in the life of' their reality tv show.

Anonymous said...

What is really disturbing is; The video of their speaking engagement was removed immediately. However, there exists numerous Utube videos, with more added almost daily, featuring the Gosselin minor children created at the hands of complete strangers. If I were J & K, removing a video clip of a speaking engagement would be the LEAST of MY concerns.

Anonymous said...

-------------------------------

This is an excellent point. Before I "crossed over to the side of common sense", I used to try to get clips from YT only because I had not seen many of the episodes. Even then, I thought it was very odd that complete strangers were making secondary videos of the kids and posting them to YT. And these are the die hard KON fans who say WE (the non-die-hard KON fans) have nothing better to do ?!?!?
