Free dresses for "poor" Kate
and her hawaii wedding

email address for

rrrothstein@kleinfeldbridal.com

Say yes to the dress, TLC gave her two dresses as she wanted both.. She had them redone into one as she just "couldn't decide". The staff had to convince the "designer" to do this for her.

After all you have to have quite a bit of lace to cover that ego.

I just read a post from another person who attended one of their "church talks" Cornerstone I believe, and they said that they saw them later at a local Japanese resturant and didn't recognize them from the church. Jon and Kate sat in their booth and the other couple sat behind them and overheard Kate tell Jon that the "talks" were something they had to do and to just get through it. I heard neither one raised their head to look at their "fans" You might can google this to see the actual site it was posted on. It was very interesting.

Thank you for asking. My brother went into surgery again this evening and as of 12:30am Pacific Time he was just going into recovery. It was a six hour surgery (or very close to it). As far as I know, he's still unresponsive. My step-dad said that the surgeons are being very guarded with their prognosis. I think we'll know more tomorrow. The team that's working on him is holding a group rounds meeting for my parents. I was going to go in for that but the doctors said we should probably have my other brother flown in. I'll be picking him up during the time they've got scheduled for rounds. My aunt is flying in too (she used to post here or so I hear). Sorry I wandered off topic. Truth be told I have never seen anyone this sick even including cancer in our family.

I still can't believe people from that other site were calling the hospital.

So the cross pollenization has begun within the workings of TLC with the upcoming episode of Say Yes To the Dress featuring the one and only Kate Gimmie More Gosselin. Whats next? J & K 'Rock the Reception' at their vow renewal? J & K have dinner with Matt and Amy Rolloff? The guy from Take Home Chef meets up with Kate (or her personal shopper) at the grocery store and prepares J & K an organic dinner?

I find it hard to believe that Kleinfeld's has at least 1,000 (probably closer to 1,500) sample dresses to choose from and Kate couldn't find one she liked. This wreaks of nothing more than TLC making an episode out of NOTHING. Or better yet, an episode entirely focusing on Kate. She's the drama that keeps people watching.

And a designer dress for a vow renewal after 9 years of marriage. Do they even realize how ridiculous that is to the "average" person?

Kate probably never even heard of Kleinfeld's prior to TLC's suggestion for her to appear on 'Say Yes To The Dress'. J & K demand $25K per speaking engagement and can afford to relocate and custom build their Gosselin McMansion but yet Kate has her greedy child exploiting paws out for a free designer wedding gown.

I have Comcast cable and I'm going to go through tonight and set up my favorite channels. I will skip TLC all together.

I'm so sick of Kate Gosselin and her whipping boy Jon. All of the letter writing and complaining will do nothing until ratings drop and advertisers blacklist them. The only way ratings will drop is for ALL of us to stop watching for good.

I'm in a terrible mood today and my heart is breaking for PennMom and her family. Kate has no idea how blessed they are with their healthy children....but still she begs for more.

As far the KONS going to Kleinfelds for a dress, this is nothing but WRETCHED EXCESS.
Totally ridiculous.
I can only imagine what this gown cost. The other day SYTTD showed a bratty bride who had ordered a custom made gown for 29 K, when it was ready she didnt like it. Then she bought another frock for a ridiculous price but she tore it all apart because she didnt like the lace.
From what I read, Kate had them custom make 2 dresses into 1.
Totally ridiculous and disgusting to all hard working people.

It is time to pull the plug on this show. Nothing at all resembles real life.

You are right. I should have chosen a better word than whipping boy, maybe Kate's money grubbing husband. I have a mental picture of Jon sitting on the couch being scolded by Katie Irene, and him taking it like a child. I guess that's what I was thinking about when I said whipping boy.

The only thing that REALLY bugged me was how Kate was griping about how tiny her house was, and all I could think about was how much SPACE they had. When they started talking about bigger hallways, I realized that it must be a real pain to maneveur around with all the production people.

Oh and I LOVED them showing the parents give the kids all that food and the shots of the casserole dishes.

Here's some questions they can answer the next time they do a FAQ, since on this episode they chose all to answer the ones only from the sheeples:

Where's Aunt Jodi?

Where's Beth?

How do you feel about all the criticism of you two?

Does Jon have a job?

How do you feel about being called CHILD EXPLOITERS?

Do your kids work on camera more than 2 hours a day?

Do they have friends/playdates with others except their siblings?

Do you have second thoughts at all about any of the past episodes? Maybe would you have done things differently? Oh like Cupcakegate, Gumgate, Crayolafactory, Toys R Us, etc. etc. etc.

Do you feel you favor Hannah and Leah, oh okay, ALL THE GIRLS much?

Why didn't Kate go with the boys on their specials days but went on all the girls special days?

Do you feel you pick on Joel just a little too much?

Are there college funds set up for the kids?

Kate, are you pregnant?

Do you want more kids?

How do you feel about the two National Enquirer articles out recently about you?

Do you know who Paul Petersen is? Concerned much about his concerns over your choice to continuously have these kids exploited?

Kate are you approachable in public if I was to see you in the grocery store?

Who watches the kids when you go out of town on your speaking engagements?

I'm sure there are more. I will never get back that 30 minutes that I just wasted watching that damage control episode. And here I was thinking they'd actually answer some of the REAL questions that are out there about them. Silly me, why would they do that? They are just preaching to the choirs right about now. No need to answer any tough questions or be put on the spot about anything.

Aaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhhh......My gosh I am a gluton for punishment. I wasn;t going to watch but my daughter insisted, so I tried answering emails instead. I tried very very hard going into this episode with an open mind, trying to look for more good than bad. By by gosh by the first 5 minutes I was already aggravated. The lies that fly out of her mouth are just incredible.

~When she said they don't tag the kids with "oh she's like mommy, or she's like daddy", what a cockamamie lie. How many times has she sdaid before that Joel IS Jon and how they are exactly alike?

~Then the arrogant "Oh we can stop now?" when asked how long they will keep filming, as if they are doing America a favor by pimping their kids.

~ I about barfed when they answered about free vacations. "They get free promotion in exchange for our being there". Just the arrogant way she answered that was nauseating.

~ Didn't she just post a verse on her website about not complaining all the time? Don't you love how she referred to that verse ( not ) when she jumped all over Jon for interrupting her?

~ Kate and Mady are not alike.
( How many of you spit your bon-bons out from laughing when you caught that one? )

I agree. The show seems to definitely be taking on a vibe that is far more about J & K and their never ending pursuit of greed and self entitlement and less focus on that of the + 8. Maybe TLC is feeling some heat regarding how much the children are exposed to the cameras and filming?

This is a little thing that bugged me but they are saying they are answering FAQ's from fans and viewers. Well then when asking the question why don't they say 'Oh here's a good question from Jill L. in SC.' or 'Joe C. from OH is asking...' When they do it they way they did it makes me think the production made up these questions and are they are doing total damage control.

I did find it hilarious when she answered the question about bare feet on hotel floors vs. gas station floors. Jon was sitting there looking at her like she was nuts! Whatever you have to keep telling yourself honey to make it all OK is fine by me but I ain't buyin' that BS answer!

This episode was a boring one. Why cannot Kate just admit that she is wrong rather than lie all the time. Case in point the area around the pumps of a gas station is not cleaner than hotel floors. The rain does not clean up the area. News flash Kate the area around the gas pumps even though it is rained upon it does not get clean. Would you stand in a river that has bee contaminated with chlorea. I sure that river has been rained in, I would not consider it cleaned.
Dont make the viewers belive that you have no choice in the matter on whether the cameras are present. Stop lying. You can tell those cameras to leave at anytime.
I dont not think it is appropriate for a grown man to follow children around with a camera, day in and day out. I could not even begin to imagine how these kids feel to know that the cameras can come busting in at any moment while their sleeping, eating, taking baths and such. It is too voyeristic. Why dont you allow the cameras in while you tending to your personal needs? Why dont they film you getting dressed, putting your makeup on,using the bathroom, taking a shower, or any intimate moments with your husband? I will tell you why. Because that would be inappropriate. You should give your children the same amount of respect and privacy. Turn those cameras off. You have made your millions.

New Rule, the Queen Mother has spoken the area around the gas station pumps is cleaner than hotel floors. We now can take off our shoes when pumping gas. But make sure sure you wear shoes when walking on hotel floors, or you will have to remain on the beds. Make sure there are two beds in the hotel room so you can hop from bed to bed to the bathroom without touching the floor. That's Kate New Rule.

Since Jon and Kate plus 8 say that their life is the show. I would like to see a little bit more of Jon and Kates day to day routine. I would like the camera crew to film them sleeping, or crying. I would like to see a little bit more intimacy. This is supposed to be reality tv, couples get intimate. I am not just talking about a kiss on the cheek, or lips. We need to see the good the bad and the dirty. Have the camera crew install a camera inside of your bedroom, like you do your children. I am not being sick I am just trying to draw a comparison to what you are allowing your children to be exposed to and what your not allowing yourselves be exposed to. You have boundaries when it comes to you and your husband being filmed. Respect your childrens boundaries. As a child I know I would be humiliated if my friends knew everything that went on in my household.

To be fair I'll start with the good points about the episode... um... it was only 30 minutes... and I'm drawing a blank here.

I couldn't believe Kate going off on Jon for interuppting her! Though I can certainly understand the frustration, how dare he try to talk when she's speaking. Only KATE is allowed to interrupt as she is the supreme Queen Bee who knows & says all. If Kate don't say it, it ain't true (that's what their website told us right? ;>)

Nice glossing over of the freebies. It's nice that they finally addressed it but I do wonder how much time was spent wording Jon's reply (and how much time he spent rehearsing to make it sound like him!)

Then they go and ruin it with their answer to "how do you decide where to go" by saying THEY choose the place & activity based on what they did as kids and what would appeal to 4 & 7 year olds (did they say 3 & 7 year olds???). Why not be honest and say they pick what's offered for free, oops, offered for promotional purposes. And when have they ever taken the family on a trip suited for 7 yr olds?

Aaden & his glasses - did Kate seriously say that he can go hours without anyone noticing he's not wearing them? It stunned me to think that he would go unnoticed for so long. I understand them being busy with 8 kids but wouldn't someone notice at the breakfast table? When giving him his morning greeting? What else is going on unnoticed???

Oh, just thought of something nice... when answering the Q about how they keep the spark in their marriage the little clips they showed of them playing around were cute. See, they do have it in them to be decent to each other, now if only they could provide more of that footage.

I watched the show tonight and I do have to agree with Kate on one thing when it comes to feeding her kids and the picky eaters.

My children are the exact same way, especially my daughter, and I found myself shaking my head yes while she was talking about that.

I can remember her being on Oprah and saying that she was not a short order cook and I again had to agree with her on that as well.

So, while I know Kate does have her faults I know I can see some good in her as well.

Something that really drives me crazy is when Kate talks about how "small" their house is. Maybe they need to build a shed for the backyard!! The only place they really have anything is the garage. I just see tons of wasted space- I have more furniture in my house for my family of four than they have for their 10! The kitchen table is really the only place they can have a seat together, but not for lack of room, but furniture! My blood pressure will really go up when TLC "blesses" them with a redecorated house. Oh Please!!! Another thing, in the whole motel room fiasco, did she plop the kids right onto the bedspread or did she peel it back? She needs to see one of those 20/20 or Dateline specials and she'll learn that the floor is the least of her worries! And if I remember correctly, the germ spread was the same pretty much across the board- not just "certain" hotels as Kate said!

Did anyone else notice the tatoo Jon has with the "silly lettering" Kate referred to. It said S.O.L. which stands for s--- outta luck.

Hopefully they are soon.

I could be wrong, but that's what I saw. And Jon saying that all his tatoos stood for things he didn't believe in. Sad he thinks that about the Korean flag, too.

So in Kate's logic walking bare foot on the following at a gas station; spilled fuel, chewed gum, snot rockets, chewing tobacco spit, sticky soda and coffee residue, melted candy bar remains, and the liquid used to wash car windows is 'safer' then walking barefoot on a hotel floor?

Aaden & his glasses - did Kate seriously say that he can go hours without anyone noticing he's not wearing them? It stunned me to think that he would go unnoticed for so long. I understand them being busy with 8 kids but wouldn't someone notice at the breakfast table? When giving him his morning greeting? What else is going on unnoticed???

I'm not sure if we were watching the same show. I heard Kate say that Aedan used to try to be tricky and not wear his glasses in the morning and that she would always ask him first thing about his glasses. Jon and Kate also said that Aedan would sometimes hide his glasses. Apparently he doesn't have a problem with them now and this was just cute stories about when he first had to wear them. I'm not seeing anything going unnoticed that is of any concern. Did I miss something?

She is just white trash. She thinks the ulitmate is Gymboree clothes and going to Disney... ahem... The Pooh tatoo? C'mon when did she get that? Before or after the first time she went on a plane at 24 to Orlando for her honeymoon? It was so obvious they were asking for tatoo removal.

OH Gosh, I'd love to carry those potties around when I'm walking in my shoes on the hotel carpet. Completely non-sensicalness! Maybe they should you those college funds for the kids for their own college education.
I can't watch this crap anymore, poor poor kids. I have just figured out all Kate supporters may actually be very close to Kate in personality. I hope Mady does not turn out like Kate, but at least Mady does seems smart enough to realize her mother's contradictions.

Kids are getting older not as cute anymore. No more of these 2 losers anymore, please!

Well, I wasted 30 minutes of my life watching that garbage. I really need help.

That woman is never wrong.

The children hit each other in the head, because they are "higher order multiples".
No Kate, they hit, because they see you hit Jon , and have never been taught to use their words, or how to behave appropriately.

Being barefoot next to the pumps at a gas station is cleaner than the floor of a hotel, because the rain washes it. Does she really believe this sh*t?

They have to move because they need more space.
I know that I cannot fit 10 people sitting on my living room floor to play Duck,Duck, Goose. Get the cameramen, and production people out of there, you'll have lots of space.

They realized Aaden needed glasses, when he got too close to the TV screen.
Hmmm, thought they didn't watch TV.

Her arrogance when answering about the free trips made me nauseaus.

I have to stop, this is not good for my blood pressure.

Considering many of J & K's faithful fans are skeptical of the 'truth',
did not one of the 150 per day viewer questions ask why the children's fav Aunt Jodi or 'second mom' Beth seem to be MIA in the more recent episodes? They both were such a part of their 'every day lives' and 'knew how to help them' so why is their presence suddenly absent? OK, so we know J & K claim that they are trying to use 'less help' these days, that doesnt give reason as to the disappearance of Aunt Jodi and Beth. If J & K dont want viewers to rely on blog websites for the truth, why not use an opportunity such as the 'viewer mail' episode to set the record straight?

The comment that made my blood boil was something to the effect that they keep their spark because they've been through SO MUCH in 9 years. Exactly what has been so challenging for these dolts? That they have created 8 HEALTHY children?! That they have had more helpers and help than anybody else on the face of this planet?!

Would someone please take these miserable excuses for humans to a children's hospital so they can see parents facing real challenges? Or how about take them to a military base as a family is informed by the chaplain that their loved one is either dead or had his limbs blown off? Or how about introducing them to the sandwich generation -- those of us caring for parents with Alzheimer's disease AND young children at the same time? The list is endless. Jon and Kate are examples of humanity at its worst.

The part of the show that stood out to me was the part when they read the email from someone who asked "why do YOU ALLOW the kids to hit each other in the head". They completely side stepped that by replying it's a sibling rivalry thing. The question was "Why do you allow it?" J&K stop letting your children hit each other!! It needs to be dealt with. You can't go through life ignoring bad behavior in your children just because you have 8 of them and can't keep track of them all. Not to compare but did anyone see the Duggar children hitting each other and screaming at the top of their lungs when they don't get their way?

Nice glossing over of the freebies. It's nice that they finally addressed it but I do wonder how much time was spent wording Jon's reply (and how much time he spent rehearsing to make it sound like him!)

They both looked very uncomfortable discussing it - glad they made sure to say they are thankful.

This came across as they need to get their stories straight - I thought the production team "suggested" things for them to do.

I did like the thing about the meals - my Mother always did that to me. If I didn't come to the table on time or didn't eat - I would go hungry until the next meal.

The house thing drove me nuts. They have an attic, 3 rooms for each of the groups of kids, plus a play room/kid office, plus a living room, dining room, nice size kitchen, a master bed and bath with a walk in closet large enough to stick a desk in it, a basement large enough for a playroom and confessional area, a laundry room that is the size of my kitchen or bigger, a garage, a large backyard, and a large driveway where 8 kids can ride their bikes happily. Ahem, yeah they need more space.

I think that Kate just wants to make it so that she can be in her wing of the house and have the kids in their wing of the house and she doesn't have to listen to them screeching.

"The children hit each other in the head, because they are "higher order multiples".

I am not a parent of 'higher order multiples', nor a child behavior psychologist however, IMO the Gosselin children constantly hitting each other has nothing to do with their being 'higher order multiples' and a poor excuse. There is a more results oriented and productive ways to resolve the situation as opposed to using their birth order as an excuse for unacceptable behavior. Teach a child that hitting is unacceptable and not the way to express feelings and emotions. Encourage and support VERBAL expression as a means of communication. Im sure within the realm of child behavior psychology there exists theory relating sibling order status to behaviors of 'acting out'. Justifying and allowing an unacceptable behavior to continue because such a 'theory' exists, is simply inexcusable lazy parenting.

I will never watch this show or buy anything even loosely associated with it. Penn Mommy's blog was an eye-opener and Kon's friends calling that hospital was an acute stab in the eye that I won't soon forget. Kate, you can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl. Even if she did not grow up in one, she is the epitome of trailer park trash with that hair, that make-up, that way of speaking and making up her own words, her greasy legs and her greasy personality. Jon, you are an embarassment to men and fathers all around the world. That you would allow this woman to control and ruin not only your life, that's up to you, but the lives of your children this way will be talked about for years after you've crept into the only hole on earth that will keep the general population from constantly laughing in your face wherever you go.

The children are a different matter. They had no choice in this. My hope is that they get as far away from Kon as they can as soon as they are able and try to become as unlike Kon as they can, become successful and caring individuals who give back to society instead of conniving ways to take. I hope they enjoy their own families and see each other as much as they can. And I hope that they give you the regard you seem to give your own parents and that is cutting you completely out of their lives. They have each other. No one needs people like the two of you having any influence on the grandchildren. You are two self-centered, self-absorbed grifters.

How dare these two complain about anything in their lives? I have simply never heard of anyone having so much given to them for absolutely no reason. They are the worst of their generation. Let's see some of the best instead.

Jon's comment about taking the children to places he visited as a child. Hmmm...don't think the Crayola Factory or Sesame Place were open back when he was a a kid! Did he go skiing in Utah as a kid? I think these two are talking without thinking most of the time.

I also don't think that there is a continuity editor on set...you know the person who keeps track of what each actor is wearing in each shot or what these two say in interviews. This would explain why the kids are in different clothes in what is supposedly the same scene. Because let's face it J&KPlus8 is for all intents and purposes a sitcom with paid actors. Which leads me to wonder why there is no licenesed social worker on set or a person to make sure that the child actors get enough free time and do their schoolwork each day. Because as we know their show is their life and their life is their show, so they should just admit that their children need an advocate or two on set...not a babysitter.

J & K are so all consumed in their hedonistic, greedy, self entitled life that they have become so oblivious to reality that they have lost all ability to recognize the fact that there are many families that are experiencing true difficulites on any given day. The only thing J & K really NEED is a REALITY CHECK. J & K should spend less time reading about their life on the internet and turn on the national/international news or open a newspaper and get a dose of reality as to the difficulties facing families locally and around the world!

I could not have articulated this better myself!! Here's something funny, though... Did you know that Kenton and Charlene, Kate's parents, actually own and operate a trailer park/campground? As a matter of fact, they got into some legal trouble five or so years ago for doing some things to the site without getting permission from the zoning board. Isn't that a scream? ALSO - I do not watch the show anymore for all the obvious reasons, but one of the most compelling reasons is that I CANNOT tolerate hearing Kate speak and drone on about the crap she drones on about. She butchers the English language every time she opens her mouth and THAT is the hallmark of the truly UN-educated person. She such a dumb sh*t!!!!

I've been wondering WHY TLC is promoting a reality show about people who admitt they DO NOT ALLOW their children to watch TV. Let me get this right....you are OK with filming a reality TV show for others to watch but TV is not something you believe to be good??? What about organic food??? I didn't know Juicy Juice was organic??? Oh wait maybe Kate doesn't really give the kids the juice she just shows it on TV for all of us that watch TV to see it and buy it. OK folks.....don't you guys get it....these people are out to make a quick buck off the backs of their children and ANYONE who continues to watch the show is in fact putting money in their pockets. Don't watch it....I wouldn't be surprised if Kate didn't put some of the garbage about them out there to get people talking and more interested in watching. Write the sponsors of all the products and tell them you will no longer buy them if they continue to sponsor these freaks. Write in to each and every TV show that promotes them and mention that these are people advocating (by saying they don't allow TV for their own children)against TV so why are you having them on your show. Gee if we all went around doing what Kate does there would be no reason to have Jon & Kate plus 8 Show since no one would be watching TV. The only way to STOP the exploitation of the children is to STOP watching, buying or being a part of anything J&KPlus8.

I well remember the Katie defenders insisting she was wearing very thin-soled sandals when she was at the gas station. I also remember KON defenders proclaiming KON paid for their trips.

What I especially remember about last night's debacle was Jon's saying that resorts made contact with them not vice versa. Oh sure. He then explained they tout the resort/event in exchange for publicity thereby admitting J&K+8 is just one big infomercial.

I agree.
In the grand scheme of things, it matter makes no difference if the resorts contacted J & K and not vice versa? Doesnt make their indulgence any more acceptable, actually to the contrary. It merely prooves the point that J & K see no problem in pimping out themselves and their children for the sake of a self serving agenda. Whether it be J & K's or the businesses that utlize them for 'free publicity'. When your family memory making moments come to be as a result of a legal contractual obligation, you are living your life according to the terms and conditions of said agreement. What does it feel like knowing your life represents nothing more than one business deal after another?

I just wish TLC would realize that as a REALITY show, they are doing a HORRIBLE job of portraying the real life of a family of 10 in middle America. I mean, who the heck in this economy, with 10 kids, and neither parent has a real job, gets to move into a huge new house? People are LOSING their homes left and right all over the country, and these two ingrates have the gall to COMPLAIN about the current roof over their heads? People are struggling to make ends meet, and having to cut corners. The economy is collapsing, but no, everything's comin' up roses over in Gosselin-ville. Why not talk about the rising cost of food - and how it affects a family of 10? Rising cost of fuel? All this "stuff" is just ridiculous and totally unrealistic to the average family who watches. The wedding dress for example - why not give the "publicity" to a LOCAL bridal shop who could damned well use the business? Oh, I guess we know why - a small business wouldn't have the thousands of dollars it would cost to "gift" Kate 2 freakin' wedding dresses!

If I want to watch TV fantasy-world then I turn on Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City, or another sitcom where everyone's 110pounds soaking wet, doesn't seem to work at all or more than 1 hour a day for $250K+ a year, and flits around in designer clothing. And that ain't Jon & Kate! Well damn, now that I think about it.. it is!

They may claim that their children don't watch t.v., but last night they said that they noticed Aaden needed glasses when he was standing too close to the t.v.. They also let them watch dvds of J&K+8, and must let them watch either the Disney channel or Disney movies, because those kids all knew exactly who the characters were when they were at Disneyworld.

There's what Kate and Jon would like us to believe about the way they are raising their children, and then there's the truth -- which usually comes out when Kate and Jon are blathering on without thinking about what they said last time.

Do they really expect us to believe KON wrote these tips herself. One visit to their website, or listening to her babble on tv, will tell you she didn't pay much attention during English class. These tips were probably written by P&G marketing staff, and they attached her name on it to reach out to those naieve sheeples, who think she invented sliced bread. Yeah, I'm going to take savings tips from someone who demands two designer dresses that each cost as much as a new minivan, or purchases hundreds of dollars worth of camping equipment to camp out in the back yard...sheesh!

I'm sure KON doesn't even read the Sunday paper, let alone write copy for one. Seriously, have you ever seen a newspaper sitting on the counter, or on a table? Ask Kon who the Speaker of the House is, or who's head of the FEC, or for that matter, who's running for president...I'm guessing, no clue.
