Tending the Blog

There is no disagreement about whether or not Kate is alienated from her family... and whose "fault" it is.

The contributors to this blog had to reject a post because it was proseletyzing about the poster's religion. You may say whatever you wish on your own blog, but this blog is not for advertising your religious beliefs or trying to convert others.

I caught bits of tonight's show, and it sounded like they were doing some damage control as far as the grandparents.

I'll have to catch the rerun later. Normally I'd get the scoop from the TWOP forum, but it's been closed for almost a week now.

Not very effective damage control. "Why aren't the grandparents in our lives? Because they aren't." Is what they said in essence. In other words, nothing. Of course, they don't need to explain anything to viewers, but why bother bringing up the topic if you're not really going to address it at all?

While I was saddened that my post wasn't allowed, I did take your advice of sorts.

Feel free to check it out: http://clickurheels.blogspot.com

Thanks for the encouragement to share on my own blog! God bless. :)

Yeah, I figured they'd be vague about the whole thing. I just caught a few seconds here and there, so I wasn't sure what kind of spin they put on things. Kate sure is good at talking without saying anything, though. She'd flunk an essay test with those kind of answers. :)

So when an actual relative of the Gosselins tries to share some truth about the situation the owners of this blog plead "agenda" and cesure her post. Sure, the Jesus stuff was abit much, but there was relevance to her message about the Kate situation.

I can tell you have no idea what you're talking about, because if you had actually seen the rejected message you would know that it had nothing whatsoever to do with the Gosselins. It was a long, sanctimonious attempt to evangelize the readers to "be saved by Jesus". Totally irrelevant to this blog.

The owners of the blog discussed the message in question. If there had been information relative to the TV Gosselins, it would have remained. Very, very few comments have been refused, but the purpose of this board is not to promulgate a particular religious view.

First of all, how can I become a contributor?

Second, I agree with not allowing Kate's sister's BS Jesus crap on here. (If it is her sister) She has here own blog where she has gained LOTS of attention, claiming she wants NO attention. This chic is a bonkers as her sis!!!!

I did, in fact, read the entire post from Kate's sister. Yes, she was (IMO)overboard with the Jesus stuff, but she also wrote about how her original blog post which has been reposted all over the net. She clarified that it was written long ago, and also wrote of how hurtful it was to have her family's privacy invaded. granted she posted the originl info on the net, but still, she expressed that she was unhappy with her post being reprinted to justify the negativity. In essence, she was saying that the reposting of her blog (re: person A/person B) was extremely hurtful. I think that was a valid coment which was censored solely b/c it did not support the agenda of this blog. The overbearing religious tone was merely the excuse you used.

If there were a way to publish a comment with the inappropriate parts removed, we may have considered doing so. As it was, the entire post was almost all proselytizing with a few comments as you described included.

Yes, this blog most certainly has an agenda (that's kind of the point of a blog), but out of over 500 comments published in the past two weeks, a great many of them have been negative towards us in nature.

As long as they have a point relative to the agenda (even if it's against the agenda), and the ability to incite or further a relevant discussion, they will probably be published. The post in question did neither.
